[customspoiler=Basic FAQ]
-Basic Info/Overview
For those that don't know Club Nintendo is Nintendo's loyalty program of sorts. When you buy a Nintendo Console/Handheld, or a Nintendo published game, you get a pin that you can enter online to earn points. These points can then be redeemed for games, accesories, and collectable items. If you earn enough points in a Club year (300 for gold and 600 for platinum, which each have their own reward), you also receive a free bonus only available to a select few. You can read the full list of eligible titles, as well as their point value, here.

-How do I get coins for digital purchases?
In order to earn coins on any digital games you purchase on Wii/WiiU/3DS/DSi, you will first need to link you Club Nintendo account to your system. Instruction for doing so can be found here.

-Can I play the Wii games on my Wii-U?
Yes, but as of now, only in Wii mode. Native Wii U support might be added later on, but will most likely require the typical $1-$1.50 fee to transfer over.

-How do I play Wii games on Wii U
You will need to enter Wii mode on your Wii U. Instructions on doing so can be found http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wiiu/en_na/features_wii_menu.jsp?menu=wii_shop&submenu=wup-wiishop-ht-redeem-code"]here.

- If I don't spend coins for the entire year long period, do they carry over?
Yes, you can keep your coins past the Club Nintendo year they are redeemed in. However they only count toward gold or platinum status for the Nintendo year (june 31st-july 1st) they are redeemed in. After two years old points do expire, so make sure to spend them before then. You can check Coin balance information while, logged in, at the top of the page.

- Is there a list of previous rewards for people who accumulated a lot of coins? Similar to Square Enix's Ultimate Tier?
The extra rewards for Club Nintendo are for those that accumulate enough points to hit Gold or Platinum status (300 and 600 points, respectively). If you reach the required number of points in a year, Nintendo will automatically send you your reward, with no cost to you or your points.

- Does the list of eligible games update as the games come out or on some sort of schedule?
The list will be updated before the game comes out, do to things like Pre-Purchase bonus points. Any game you can buy, should already be on the list and able to redeem.

- When do they typically announce the prizes for Gold and Platinum?
Generally at the end of a Club Nintendo year, but don't expect it anytime soon. Usually it will take at least several months for them to ship it out.

- Is there anyway to enter multiple copies of the same game or device?
They have an option in the settings to make your account a family account, which means it can have sub-accounts that allows you to register multiple copies of games. The coins from all the sub-accounts all end up in the same main account coin collection.

- How does the site show what balance of coins you have to spend versus your total towards Gold/Platinum?
At the top right of the screen you can see the coin counter. The big number is your total coin amount, and the bar underneath is your progress to gold or platinum status. The number needed to advance is displayed directly above said bar. Redeeming your coins does not affect this counter, as it is only reset at the end of the year.

- How can I tell if a code is valid without redeeming it?
If you want to check if a code has already been registered, without registering it yourself, all you need to do is try entering the code while you are logged out. It will tell you the name of the game, as well as how many points it is worth, without activating it.[/customspoiler]

Let me know if I missed anything or if something breaks!

Is Vegas Stakes at all decent? I'd get it just for the $7.99 in points for my final run at the Digital Deluxe Promo, but I don't want flat out garbage.

Looks like they added another 4 games to that original list:

Pop-Up Pursuit (Wiiware)  -- 250 coins (What a bargain! /sarcasm)

Kirby's Pinball Land (3DS VC) -- 150 coins

Metroid II (3DS VC) -- 150 coins

Starship Defense (3DS DSiware) -- 200 coins

The latter three are solid but have been offered at least twice before IIRC.

So yes, another month of disappointment.

Ugh, more utter shite. I have 3000 pts just collecting dust. I wish there was a way to convert them to eshop money. Even if it wasn't much I'd at least buy themes or something

without reading hoping for some thing good. 99 % chance crap

yeap crap/. too bad vegas wasnt on the 3ds. WOuld of got that

you would? i'm kinda mystified as to why anyone would want to play an SNES casino game, it seems like the definition of shovelware.

i have coins to burn, so if i grab Pilotwings and Vegas, i'll get another DDP voucher. i'm guessing the orginal Pilotwings hasn't aged too well...

I enjoyed Vegas Stakes back in the day. It at least tried to add life to the game by having AI personalities to compete against instead of just 'pull the slot handle, place the blackjack bet,' etc.

I might get Pilotwings just for DDP and maybe Metroid. I kinda want to get Vegas for DDP too but I would be embarrassed to have it on my system.

I just realized I only need 8 more points for a $5 credit...I guess I'm in for something...I have Metroid 2, what out of this lot is the least crappy?
You can't even add a color palette like GBC used to do.
Wow that's pretty weak.

I think you'll just have to cry yourself to sleep with that 3DS XL. If you haven't registered it yet make sure to just sit on that code until the next free game promo.
Wish I would have saw this earlier before I registered my 3DS XL yesterday oh well just wanted to play Kingdom Hearts (I own) and Persona Q when it comes out with the limited edition so I can have a case and music to play in the car.

Do the GB games play in 3D at all? I have the original Metroid 2 but I'll pick it up if it adds 3D to it.
No GB games will play in 3d. It is not some simple flip a switch thing and a game is in 3d. They have to completely redo it to have that happen. I wish it were that simple as I could be playing Castlevania 3 in 3d then.

Loved kirby's pinball land as a kid. Played the fuck outta that game. That is definitely where my coins shall be going.
Yep I going to grab this as well even though I'm sure this hasn't aged well. I still want my Pokemon Pinball Nintendo.

Has anyone played Tokyo Crash Mob?

Seems to have reviewed well as re-skinned Zuma @ $6.99

Just played it. Took about 2 mins to get used to it again. Still cramps your hands like hell. Still have to hit the start button for any menu screens because it stupidly refuses to accept anything else as "Yes let me play the damn thing already." That said the game is still really fun as hell. I had forgotten how quirky the little stages were but it's still great really enjoyable My arms were twisting and turning as though that would help direct the ball.

I still suck at using the plunger platform at the bottom to recover.

kirby pinball is well worth the 150 coins considering the usual offerings. I've put plenty of time into this while at the girlfriends parents house. only a few different stages but they're layered well. it saves your spot so unless you're playing this maniacally you kinda don't even notice the lack of stages until you finally lose.

Vegas Stakes was one of the best gambling games back in the day.  Had a lot of character and it didn't take forever to deal through each hand at poker or slots.  There were things like random characters that come up and ask for loans, and might come back and repay you a lot extra later, or else you get robbed.  Different hotels you travel to complete with addictive background muzac.  There was actually a goal to the game to get a certain dollar amount and get invited to some exclusive hotel.  Back then, that was entertaining.

Yes, I've played it and it's exactly like you mentioned, a re-skinned Zuma. Instead of having the globes stack up, there are people stacked up. If you like Zuma or Zuma-like games, you'll probably like TCM.

I believe the number was 10,000,000. I have fond memories of this game. It was a great casino game for it's time.

Now I regret not using coins for Kirby's Dream Course after seeing the new batch of games and being denied the ability to use coins toward last months games as they still have placeholders on the CN website and thought "maybe, just maybe they were a little slow to transition this time". I already own two copies of PilotWings (cart and another CIB) and pride keeps me from falling for Vegas Stakes. Against all hope, here's hoping Nintendo gives a little holiday cheer by having something worth spending coins on come December 15th right before DDP ends. #disappoint #optimistic

400 coins for $15.98 worth of DDP.... Hmmm
This right here. I bought both wiiu games last month, both games this month and will both games next month. This should get me one last 5.00 certificate. Had i thought about it sooner I would have been buying them all along. It has been about the only why to turn cn coins into eshop money.

Same here, though they will more than likely offer Dream Course again, tarting up their favorite pink puffball every (or at least every other) month.

Of course no DDP next time, but I'm starting to wonder if Nintendo will extend that offer past this year...

I really like Zuma and was excited about TCM after checking out a video review 'cause it looked like Zuma with a big dash of quirkiness...so I grabbed it last night with coins, but, upon playing it, it kinda just felt sterile instead of quirky to me, and I found the touch screen controls and lack of precision really frustrating, especially when things get hectic. But who knows...you might like it more than I did.

i hope nintendo just kinda forgets about ddp and lets it run
Of course no DDP next time, but I'm starting to wonder if Nintendo will extend that offer past this year...
I was really hoping this as well but if you look on the DDP homepage, they added an "Important News" notice stating the deadline and whatnot.

Maybe eshop sales will plummet and they'll reinstate it. I sure won't be spending nearly as much as I have been.

I think I'm missing something here. If I get Pilot Wings and Vegas Stakes it'll get me $15 from DDP?
I appreciate your post because I was wondering something similar when I saw the original post.

If one downloads Pilotwings and Vegas Stakes via Club Nintendo, one will receive ~1598 points in DDP--i.e., 799 per game. It takes 5000 DDP points to get a $5 code. If one downloads those two games, one will be slightly less than a third closer to a $5 eShop code in terms of DDP points. Make sense?
