They're all bastards in my opinion who just want your money (obviously) and will screw you over the minute you aren't profitable to them.[/QUOTE]
Eden Foods first and foremost. They're all about being Organic and healthy. They put their money where their mouth is. Almost all of their cans are BPA free. The only one's that aren't are the one's containing tomato's from all I've heard. Even then after hearing that customers wanted a BPA free option they are offering their consumers a glass option for tomato stuff. It's even in Amber glass. The only thing I don't get is no one is carrying it.
Also, even if an Eden Foods product in particular isn't Organic you can bet it's GMO-Free, they really make sure of it. So yes I trust them and if I think they'd let me I'd buy stock in them. They're privately owned I believe but if they were ever in financial trouble I'd love to buy some stock in them. Mainly this would be to prevent some scummy Conglomerate like General Mills or Kelloggs who don't care about the aforementioned things and would likely degrade the quality to pocket the extra money they'd save and charge the same.
Nature's Path, who covers the ground Eden Foods doesn't, which is saying a lot considering it almost seems like Eden Foods covers everything under the sun short of a few perishable goods. Nature's Path sells mainly cereal and other breakfast products along with some food bars to tide you over during the day. All their stuff is Organic and you can definitely find some great products among their offerings. They're not a Conglomerate either, not owned by General Mills as Cascadian Farms is or owned by Kelloggs as Muir Farm and Kashi are.
Organic Valley is another which is a co-op of farmers in the United States selling everything from Dairy to Soy Milk and Orange Juice. They also have another division which I believe is them called Organic Prairie which sells Organic meat as well.
Their Organic milk is legitimate while the same can't be said for Horizon. You see Horizon isn't following the Organic protocol. The company they're getting their milk from, Aurora, pens the cows in and brings in cows from conventionally fed feedlots. At least a few companies have sued to see Horizon's USDA Organic label revoke but to no avail so when you're drinking Horizon know you're not drinking USDA certified Organic milk.
One of my lasts is Rapunzel. Very high quality brand that is German, they seem to be the only people that sell Organic Yeast here. You ask why I care perhaps? Have any of you seen a Non-GMO project certified Yeast or a yeast where you talk to the company and they say the Yeast doesn't have GMO's in it? Also their sugar is top notch, having never been separated, with one creating Molasses and the other white Cane sugar. It's a light brown color with fairly large pieces of sugar by the average person's standards(about the size or slightly smaller then a small Tapioca pearl) but as soon as your finger exerts any pressure to it it crumbles. Along with this there's their Cocoa Powder which I just like because I'm a Vegan and it's the only Cocoa Powder, Organic at least, I've seen that isn't processed on equipment with milk. Yes I know the amount of milk is incidental but if I can avoid it I will.
So there you have it. Yes I know they're all food companies. I'll list my clothing companies in a separate post.
