Holy shit, I'm moving to Tokyo in three weeks!
There's no way I can bring all my stuff with me, so one lucky CAG is going to win 30+ games and a bunch of shwag (E3, TGS, etc.).

Simply post in this thread for a chance to win.
You must post something about Japan, winning my games, or what you would like to see me do (for your amusement) once I am living in Tokyo.

You may post as often as you wish, but that WILL NOT increase your chance of winning. One account/entry per person. You must be over 18 (or have your parents permission upon winning to receive M rated games) and in the continental US to be eligible to win. Winner will be chosen at random. Contest ends on or about 10/24/05.

Why am I moving to Japan?
Mrs. CheapyD got a great job and it requires us to move to Tokyo. Its basically an offer we can't refuse. I will still be able to run CAG from Japan and now I will be able to work on CAG full time. You can also likely expect new additions/features and possibly a new CAG sister website as I become Your Man In Japan.
Fear not! The focus of CAG will always be cheap video games.

I could use all those games. CheapyD should get exclusive deals from the Japanese game makers for all the CAGs now that he will be over there.

Give yourself a hentai spree (I don't want to see that) I'm kidding I don't want to be killed
Wear a kimino and take a picture for us CAG (points if it's a pattern green/black and CAG)
Find an underground gaming society and give us the juice
Argue with someone that FF is the greatest series for kicks and learn some new words
Wear any of their fashion that goes on (I saw a boob scarf before)
Bring in some Japanese CAGers and watch them own the arcade here.. i'm just kidding ^^
Dress up as Sailor Moon..
Buy a school girl uniform
Ask someone if they've seen that one samurai movie with Tom Cruise

BTW wouldn't it be bad to take pictures of cosplay because it's a kind of art? (Too much anime watching)

If you were in Korea I would ask you to ask a 6 year old girl to play you in SC and save the replay

Enjoy Japan Cheapy

There are hunders of cool PS2 games that never will be released in the U.S.A in japan and some not so cool ones. So Why are you Moving to Tokyo?

A coworker of mine lived in Japan. He said it is a great place to live. Good luck to Cheapy and Mrs. Cheapy. Now give me the games. :)

Go White Sox!

I would absolutely love and appreciate if you could just pick up any book relating to Japanese warfare and life ( in English text, unless you're fluent in Japanese! ) and just read it! They are some of the most interesting and enlightening writings I have ever laid my eyes upon, I'm sure you would get something out of doing something like this! BTW, have a great time at Japan. It's good to hear you'll still be around CAG after you arrive there.

Yeah, so I need to be included in the drawing. Why? Because I need to win, of course.

Anyway, good luck to you with the move, and to your wife with your new job. Be sure to visit Akihabara for us all.

Primarily, you need to obtain one of those jumpsuits the Beastie Boys wore in the "Intergalactic" video. Then, a hard hat. Thirdly, make two friends, and wreak some havoc.

Good luck over there, man!

Quit the video game business and smuggle in some singer hedgehogs. They will be huge in Japan!

follow the link to a hedgehog band on the rise...

WARNING GRAPHIC LANGUAGE!!!

With all the cash you will be rolling in your wife can retire and you can move to Tahiti or somewhere else warm and beachy ;)

I wish I could live in Japan...Complete access to a bunch of games that may be never played in the U.S. Have fun in Japan, maybe you could review some Japanesse type games lol

I am living in Japan, now, and I'm enjoying my time here. I hope you do, as well.

Although Japan is, in many ways, a sort of 'gaming mecca,' there were a couple things that took me by surprise. The biggest one of which was simply that there is no place to rent games! Arcades and game-oriented stores are quite common, but no place to rent games.

It was especially unnerving when I noticed that I could easily rent videos, comics, and even CDs. I haven't investigated very thoroughly, but my conclusion was that it was simply illegal in Japan to rent games. It might seem odd to read that, but there's no reason to assume that copyright laws and such will be the same in a different country.

As a collector, I'd love to win those games - as for what you should do once you get to Japan, try some of those insane snack items you always see in catalogs (like the little bite sized crabs) or alternately find out if anyone actually eats them!

Best of luck in Japan! Wish I was going.... heard the girls there are pretty hot and they have the ultimate cheapass deals.

Ah, Japan. Land of the old games, where Hello Kitty is Queen, the Dragon Quest Slime is King, and Metal Slimes are on sale this winter. Damn I want one of those...

When you're living in Japan, you should definately go and get some top-notch preventative medicine in oriental hortoculture (sp).

Since, at least to my knowledge, that's how it's done over there, preventative rather then treatment.

damn moving to tokyo, awesome, enjoy the buildings

something amusing you could do is get an SLR camera, take the awesomest night shots ever of tokyo lit up at night, and then post them in super high res for the internet to use!

wait that wouldnt be amusing it would be AWESOME

So are Canadians out of luck to win?
If not, I definitely want to see CheapyD host a contest full of Japanese games that we can't get here, like the weird games.

Cheapy, my man you gotta let me come and crash on your couch for a week or two. I swear that would be all. Just enough time to let me get set up in Tokyo. I mean it could take a while but I will be out there looking for a job and everything. I just need to you know learn japanese... aw who am I kidding. I would be happy if you just gave me your games.

I wouldn't mind winning those games. As for what to do in Tokyo how about going out in the middle of a busy square and doing the robot?

Congrats on the new job for the wife. Heavy congrats on going to Tokyo. As far as winning the games, it'd be nice, but it'd just go in my immense backlog. Hard to play new games when you're reviewing half the time anyway. :D

Beyond that, here's hoping that you learn Japanese, tell us the great games coming out in Japan and all the nifty-funky-weird shit that they sell there.

Gambatte!

If you send your games to me , I will exercise them as much as possible. I also would like to add that you should get married in Japan and have as many kids as is possible.

I think you should go to one of those casinos that look like arcades and shout "where are the DDR machines?!" And then if you win the jackpot send me some of it. But I would be happy with the games too.
