Custom built laptops?

Is it possible to build laptops piece by piece like you do with a computer?

yes, but unlike pc's its pretty cost prohibitive. by the time you pay to have it built you probably could have bought a better pre-fab machine for less money.

Check out the Asus barebone laptops. It is the closest you will get.
