(DEAD) Arrested Development Complete Series $28.99 DOTD

They're a month and some days early this year. They've had this same exact deal on 12/8 the last two years. Actually this year it's also $1 higher

Great great show and definitely worth seeing. All the episodes are available on Netflix but this is worth owning in my view. It has some commentaries, and some great bloopers and other extras. Looking forward to the movie and Season 4 too!

too bad this wasn't some repackaged box set..I think any fan already has the 3 individually now, and for years (!) Repackage it and I would buy it, repackage it on blu ray six months later and I'd buy it again!

Damn, I missed this. At least I can stream this for free on Amazon, but it would be nice to have the special features too.

I've never watched a single minute of Arrested Development, but I want to give it a try. It has to be better than the new Fall sitcoms.

Give Community on NBC a shot. I would recommend watching the first two seasons as well. Very underrated show. If you think you'll like Arrested Development, I think you'll like Community as well.

Community is great.

Bought Arrested Development on this deal last night. I know it's streaming on Netflix but who knows how long that'll be there. Good price for the series.

I LOVE arrested development, something about Community just didn't grab my attention though. I watched all of S1.

Wow, I ordered it yesterday afternoon and it came in today. I wasn't expecting it till tomorrow or so.

seriously? Community is my favorite comedy TV show of all time. It's effin hilarious. I would put it higher than the Office or Modern Family (which is a close second to me).

Heck yea. I'm a huge community fan since day one. Bought season 1 on DVD to rewatch. I don't often buy DVDs anymore.

I was talking more about free agents, how to be a gentleman, 2 broke girls, that Tim Allen show, etc.

They did announce that they are making one more season that will lead right into the movie. The new season will take place few years after the last season ended. No network had been announced that i know of yet though

Wouldn't be surprised if Netflix buys the rights to show season 4. With the amount of subscribers they've lost, as well as bad press, getting some more exclusive original content would start bringing them back.

You should get a tape recorder an listen to everything you say.

New 'Arrested Development' episodes coming to Netflix

LOS ANGELES — The Bluths are back.
For the first time since "Arrested Development" was canceled in 2006, the dysfunctional and ethically challenged Southern California clan will return for all new episodes.
The show will be available exclusively to Netflix members beginning in 2013.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Twentieth Century Fox Television and Imagine Television will produce the show.
The move is a huge boost to Netflix, which has been trying to establish a presence in the original content world. Last summer, the subscription service beat out the likes of HBO for the rights to the David Fincher and Kevin Spacey political series "House of Cards."
The cult hit aired for three seasons, 2003-2006, on Fox and won an Emmy for best comedy. Showtime had reportedly been pursuing rights to air the show, as well.
Story: 'Arrested Development' team fired up for movie In a releasing announcing the shows, Netflix made no mention about whether the entire cast, which includes Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, David Cross and Michael Cera, will return for another round. However, Cross, Bateman and Arnett have spoken enthusiastically about a reunion.
"Netflix's bold entrance into original programming presents an exciting new opportunity for our two companies" Peter Levinsohn, Fox Filmed Entertainment's President of New Media & Digital Distribution, said in a statement. "Bringing a classic show back to production on new episodes exclusively for Netflix customers is a game changer, and illustrates the incredible potential the new digital landscape affords great content providers like Twentieth Century Fox Television and Imagine.

News that "Arrested Development" was getting a revival, broke after co-creator and executive producer Mitch Hurwitz announced at a New Yorker Festival reunion in October that he planned to bring back the show for an abbreviated season to lead into a long-awaited "Arrested Development" movie.
At the time, Hurwitz said that the show would catch up viewers on what the members of the deeply disturbed Bluth family have done since the series ended, and would run for nine to ten episodes.
Not really that surprising considering the rumors that they were 1 of 2 providers likely to get the rights. I really should have bought some Netflix sound when it was down to like $70ish. I might still buy some now as I see it climbing steadily back up in the upcoming years.
