Dead Rising Has pissed me off so godamn much

Ok so I got back into DR last night. I let the main story go in favor of trying to rescue some people, this is what went down. I go for the japanese tourists in the book store. I found the book so I could speak with them, which was kinda cool. They start following me and Im clearing the way for them and get to the food court. I try taking them outside. The convict car is right outside and runs them over while they get ganked by the zombies right away. I cant even drink my wine to recover without being shot which was BS. SO i decided to try Al Fresca Plaza which was way to crowded. I got them into the gym which is pretty safe, but getting them out is a chore. They wont follow me through the window I broke, they run to the door instead, which is an automatic door and wont open for them anyway so I end up opening the door for them and have them run into the square and of course one of them doesnt want to go until i told him to go about 10 times.

The other problem is you can get these retards past 2-3 zombies without them running up to them to be attacked.

I just cant understand why this game was released with escourting people as a major part of them game, yet it simpy does NOT WORK. I could get the girl in the park back to the security room using the hand holding, but even with that, she let go of my hand about 15 times on the way.
 
after you kill the clown, stop the spaceship ride, save the guy who's on there. He'll help you out so you don't have to deal with the convicts.
 
Thanks for that tip about the spaceship ride. I was a little pissed b/c I killed all 3 convicts and jacked their jeep, but then when I entered the plaza again during the same play session, they were magically revived.

I figure that theres someway to easily kill the convicts....but how do I beat the freakin clown? Ill chec gamefaqs, but otherwise the games on my TL and maybe on ebay soon as Im level 17 and the game seems even harder than when I first started.

The clown's easy as hell. When he's blowing up a balloon, shoot the balloon and it'll stun him, then wail away. Same when he blows fire.. when it turns to smoke, wail away. Other than that, just run. He's insanely easy.
 
for the clown i just went into some store i forget which one, stood behind the counter and slashed him with a katana (he couldn't hit me cause he couldn't get behind the counter)

about the escorts, try to give them weapons, i remember the japanese guys went crazy with the katana i gave them think they killed more than i did

The easiest way to kill the clown is to stay back and wait for him to blow up a balloon. Shoot the balloon as soon as it's inflated. The balloon will burst, he will start to cough and you can unleash a fuck-ton of damage on him. Repeat until dead.

The endboss is what really pissed me off. I had to go on gamefaqs to find out how to actually beat that fucker.

I don't plan on going back and trying to rescue everyone, but I'm sure I would be angry just like you if I actually tried.
 
this game really makes me angry. i try so hard to like it, i really want to. to many issues that fucking "grind my gears".
