This Widescreen Flat Panal Monitor usually retails for $299. It has 2048x1152 resolution, 1000:1 contrast ratio, webcam, microphone, 16.7 mil colors ,2ms responce time, 300cd/m brightness level, and hdmi input. In short great specs for the price. Right now this ships free. It has a good editor rating from cnet. My only complaint is that it doesn't have speakers but dell does offer a $29 sound bar that latches right on the bottom. Seems to be tailor made for it(the soundbar isn't by any means a deal. It's always been $29. There just stereo speakers that happen to fit in nicely.)

As long as you don't buy it used(or as someone's repackaged return like I did), I would suggest the Acer 21.5" monitor available from Target.

It's full 1080p, has three ports(1 HDMI, 1 VGA, 1 DVI w/HDCP) has two speakers(1w each though, kinda tinny)and comes with HDMI, VGA, DVI and audio out cables right in the box.

It's currently $159.99 on Target's website, but it's on clearance in Target stores. My local store has it on clearance for $111 already.

It's a great monitor, but since I bought mine when it was clearly someone else's return I'm currently having issues with pixels blinking out on occasion in big blocks.

Luckily, I have till May 13th to return it, so hopefully by then the price will have gone down to 75% off in the system and I may be able to rebuy it for 25% of what I initially paid($40).

For that price, I don't think I'll care too much about the pixel issue, but for $150-160 I have a problem with having faulty hardware.
