I'm a Best Buy GCU member so I get physical games very cheap. Is it worth paying a little extra for digital? I think digital would be convenient but what if the game is no good? I'm only asking because the PSN promo $15/$100!is going on right now. Thanks CAGs.
I find I prefer my shooters digital. I'm not a huge mp shooter anymore but I still really enjoy a round or two or three. Much easier to take a break from my current play to shoot it up.
Not to mention that usually shooters have a content roadmap that stretches a good amount of time. Other IP's come and go in 20-30 hours.
Not that I plan to buy destiny but I thought some insight might help.
I buy whatever's cheapest, myself. If digital games were cheaper upon release than GCU, I'd go all digital, aside from the odd collector's edition here and there where I want the statue or whatever that comes with it.
It all varies on the game to me. If it is a story game (horizon zero dawn, last guardian) I will buy disc since I will probably only play it once. But destiny I bought digital since bungie said they were going to create a few expansions for it. So I knew I would be playing it quite a bit over the next few years.
