Deus Ex: HR Aug. Ed. - $5.99 @ Gamestop uses steam!
Of course it uses Steam.
Deus Ex: HR flat-out REQUIRES Steam for the PC version.
same difference. what's your point? he was just informing people that if you buy it from impulse/gamestop you can activate it on steam. not every pc game uses steamworks.

Seriously, there's no need to be rude.

Good deal.

"Use" and "require" are TWO different things.
"Use" = makes it sound like it's optional
"require" = you have to use it period - like it, love it, hate it, feel different, or whatever.

Sometimes Steam is an extra OPTION -- i.e. buy X3: Terran Conflict from Retail -> you can use that and patch it up so it's DRM-FREE; and you can ALSO register it on Steam (namely for getting DID Mode).

Many times, Steam is NOT optional - as in Deus Ex: HR's case.

The Steam key they give you includes the Tactical Mission pack DLC.

The Steam weekend deals is Deus Ex: HR. This means you can acquire the other 2 DLCs for 75% off.

Compare that to the Augmented Edition 75% off price on the Steam weekend deal without any DLC and this is a no-brainer!
That story has nothing to do with this deal. GS was pulling codes to OnLive from physical copies of the game. This deal is for a digital download, and it requires Steam.
It would of been great to get in on that. Gamestop refunded the money for Deus Ex by in store credit and I think some other stuff. but anyone who did that got deus EX at launch for C/Steam and then got a free 49.99 game.

Because who would play Deus Ex:HR on Onlive when they ordered it for PC?

Thats a amazing deal why are people complaining!!!
