I for one hope the DS one does good. I tried Disgaea 2 and realize how badly it needs to be for a portable system

Do you enjoy these types of games, CheapyD?

Yeah just a bit. I can't see them selling out with the PSP version being the same price. Also, many people bought the game when amazon had it for $30 shipped.
is it the same game or different storyline???
Disgaea Hour of Darkness (Above & linked) is for the PS2
Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories is the sequel for the PS2
Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness is the PSP PORT of Disgaea HoD for the PS2
It has some additional material, which adds to its personality (more whacky dialog) not
gameplay
Disgaea DS Will be same as Afternoon of Darkness (so far that has been announced)

Does this answer your question?

Madden Says HI!

I personally like that they made it portable. Ive played disgaea 2 very little, but that small amount lets me know that this game has soooooo much potential outside the confines of my living room. Im a person that has places to go, im sure like most adults, or at least college students like me :p So portability with games that CAN be portable, specially games that dont depend on quick reflexes, are best portable.

1st of all...

2nd... it seems like it would make more sense to release both portable versions at the same time. I don't see anything wrong with going multi-platform (something RPGs rarely do at launch), but I feel like they're just hurting sales on the 2nd/3rd iteration by releasing it later.

I think if I get this it's going to be for PSP, portables are definitely my preference (says the man who's new PS3 is sitting right next to him).
