Remember when the DI dude slammed Nintendo for amiibo shortages and said that worth happen with DI?
But you can find any Disney Infinity 3.0 figure at retail price from an online or B&M retailer, you just might run into problems looking at a given specific retailer. This is nothing like the Amiibo shortages.

Ok this is what I did to keep homeland security off of me. I ordered the saga bundle (ps4), obi wan, yoda, and mulan (free BB promo). I redemmed and $35 dollar BB cert and the total was $91.

Can anyone suggest other must have Disney infinity characters I should ordered?

To me, this being Disney Infinity, Mickey, Minnie and Donald are musts.
Zeb is pretty fun to play as if we are talking 3.0 characters. He still feels Star Wars but is different enough from the Jedi to make him feel fresh. Also Quorra is a bunch of fun to play as too!

If we are talking ALL DI figures then Venom is the way to go for Toybox stuff. He is arguably one of the strongest and most fun characters they have created.. not to mention his figure is my favorite.

1)  At launch ALL Disney Infinity have been hard to find.  UNLIKE, Amiibo's they've historically been VERY quick to restock.

2)  I've got Anakin to 17, Fett to 12.  Inside Out just arrived so I'm gunna play the crap outta Lewis Black.  :)

3)  I love the Venom figure.  I'm more excited to get Black Spidey next to him.

What are your thoughts on the Inside Out Playset vs TofR? I'm not seeing a lot of in depth reviews yet for Inside Out (Infinity Reddit has surprisingly very little useful information.) I already bought the digital version on Wii U, now trying to decide which Playset to go with. After getting burned on 1.0 and 2.0 with what I felt like both had very little content and not much to actually "do," I am trying to proceed slowly into this one until I get a feel for it.

Well, as I haven't "burned" through the content, I can't give you a total review.

Inside Out so far is more of a platformer.  It has alot of collection and time management.

TofR is more action-y.

But that's just Ch.1 of each, I dunno.  Honestly, since we just got our stuff yesterday it's too soon to give honest input on comparisons.  Especially being able to compare BOTH.

Heck, most of us got lost in the toybox yesterday.

Hulk is essential, don't forget about him. He may not feel great at first but when you level him up, he becomes a beast. The super jumps, increased speed, and wall climb make him much more mobile and by the time you unlock the extra combos you are shelling out a ton of damage. My Hulk is leveled up to about 23.

Anyone know how long playstation digital price will be $20? I've already got the inside out playset (got it for free months ago) so i wouldn't have to get any figures right away but im also getting mgsV tomorrow so dont know how much I'll play it right now.

I think it is only for a week.

This. And if that's not enough, keep in mind it really is a KID-oriented game. Yea, there's lots for adults to do but NORMAL offers a challenge for my kid... therefore, it's the perfect setting. :)
Oh no I totally understand it is made for kids and I always have it on Hard at least depending on how leveled my character is I am using. I just simply thought it was funny that they would say they would make the game too easy by letting us max out the trees is all.

A few days before release I emailed Best Buy about the Toybox Takeover since it was clearly noted in my online order and then when I made a preorder in store and cancelled the one online there was no mention on the receipt like online so I was worried and just wanted to make sure. They finally got back to me today and their response makes no sense...

Hi Britton,

Thank you for contacting Best Buy.

I'm sorry to hear you did not receive the free digital addOn game for the Disney Infinity: 3.0 Edition Starter Pack - Star Wars Saga Bundle - PlayStation 4 that you ordered. Let me assist you.

I did locate the transaction and I am glad to inform you that I already requested the code to our code specialist and you will be receiving it within 24-48 hrs. Please don't forget to check your spam and junk mails.

We appreciate your loyalty for being a My Best Buy Member. For any other concerns, you may visit our Help Center at www.bestbuy.com.

I am really curious what "code" I will be receiving by email haha

I'm playing the Clone Wars playset on normal and it's perfect considering I don't want to fail and I'm just looking to entertain myself and the kids. The combat mechanics are substantially improved but I think they'd start to break at higher difficulty levels. Still loving this game though. Will likely create content for the first time considering 1.0 and 2.0 didn't interest the kids at all.

@BrolyB593 The Toy Box Takeover is an a physical piece that you place on the portal. There is no DLC code to unlock it. At least from my understanding.

I am missing my Toy Box Takeover too and contacting customer service was no help either. Was on the phone for 30 minutes explaining it to them until I mysteriously got hanged up and no follow up responsive afterward.

Oh no I know that is why I am so confused. My store had plenty of them anyway so there was no need to worry and I got mine Sunday morning when I went to pick up my Saga Bundle. There literally are no codes that Best Buy would presumably have for DI 3.0 so I wonder if they are going to send me a second Toybox Takeover by mail instead or give me some random PSN code? Who knows!

Tell them they're full of shit. The Toy Box Takeover is a PHYSICAL hex. Then ask to speak to a manager. They'll try to "handle" it themselves, tell them you were blatantly lied to in the previous conversation and would like to speak to someone else.

Nevermind I read that as it was happening right now, not a few days before. A bit of an overreaction as long as you have them. Best Buy CS pisses me off. I can't begin to describe how hard it was to get a Puzzle and Dragon Z code from them. 4-5 calls over 6 hours on the phone to get 1 code. Their final solution was to order one more and have me take it back in so I wasn't charged. The like 6 months later, I get 2 codes.

I also had trouble getting my takeover bonus... two hours of phone calls with three different reps. Had to put in a complaint on one of them after she tried fighting with me about what the bonus even was. She tried telling me it was something already in the game, then tried telling me there was no pre-order bonus, then told me I was confused and directed me to the deal they have going on this week. Then she apparently decided to give up and hung up on me.

Luckily the last rep was able to get me one, already shipped and on it's way.

My takeover bonus shipped yesterday and in a separate package which kinda sucks. Only review I found effectively called it 2 hours dlc that's quite fun. That's awesome for free but sounds like more like a $10 item otherwise.

Anyone have impressions on Toy Box Takeover or even the Rise Against the Empire playset as compared to the Twilight playset? I'm really at the beginning of the Twilight playset and so far have found it pretty great.

Starting to wish I had gotten the best buy starter preorder. Gonna be hard to hold out for a sale, the intro playthrough on 3.0 was so fun I wanna go get a Jedi right away

Then go buy Ezra and Obi-Wan at Toys R Us for $22.50 or Sabine and Obi-Wan at Target for $20. Sabine isn't a Jedi but she is their exclusive. You could at least use them in Toy Box mode...

I am having problems with 3.0.  It will not load any playset at all.  I took the 3.0 disc out and put 2.0 in along with some Marvel figured and it detected them instantly.  Anything 3.0 I put in will not pull up and it loads up a Star Wars game without showing anything else.

I have Inside Out and both Star Wars playsets, yet it will not load anything.

Let's be a little less cryptic:

1)  What platform are you trying to run 3.0 on?

2)  What happens if nothing is on the portal, what screen do you boot to?

3)  2.0 works, good, that's a start, it sense the portal?

4)  Assuming there is NO item on the back bar, can you enter the toybox?

5)  If not, we're back to the what platform are you on?  Because if it's on that you downloaded I'd say delete it and start over.

Finally, post this shit on their Facebook or forums... they have tech support that could better answer wtf is happening.

You have to finish the introduction. Should play part of a star wars level, and part of an Inside Out level and finally get to the intro screen in front of the Disneyland castle. After that, you can do whatever you want.

This is my least favorite part of all these games. I wish that I could just say I have played before and skip it.

OH! I completely forgot about this. That's the whole "intro" level where you do a bunch of the characters. Yea.... that's totally not skippable. It's just like the old Mickey paint the world with the spark intro.

Thanks. I spent over an hour trying to figure out why it was not working.

Since we're talking about issues has anyone had luck playing arcade games? I tried for 10 minutes to join on  the PS4 version and though only the first one even had over 100 people playing the game kept launching and then kicking me out. Is this just early glitches or something I can resolve on my end?

Does anybody need a base? I have a few extra that I'll sell for $10 shipped.
Not at the moment, but I did noticed the 2nd player side of my base is constantly on the fritz. I switched it out with my WiiU one and no more issues. I also have a spare in the closet. I'm debating Disney Support. They replaced my first base on the fritz so I am wondering if I should get an extra backup.

You just have to keep at it and eventually you'll join some. Patch is in the works I believe

They are $3 used at Gamestop, not to burst your bubble or anything. The X1 base is $5 though. They stopped taking them as trade ins even because they to have too many.
