I'm assuming this is matching gamestop. Gohastings had it at this price first, but they never match gohastings. If it weren't for TRU, I would have bit. Still can't believe I got 2 turntables and a microphone with game for $10.

TRU here only had the Wii version; there weren't even any signs for PS3 or 360. Good deal if your TRU was like mine.

Exactly. WAS $9.99 at toys r us. I was there at my local store opening on the 1st day of the sale and I barely got the warriors of rock bundle and shred. Those stores weren't raided by typical, organized hoarders either. Regular, clueless customers and families were running around like headless turkeys confused about what to get while stuffing shopping carts full.

Anyway, I got dj hero 2 ps3 for $25 in the first toys r us sale early this year and I don't regret it. So $20 is still a decent deal.

I don't necessarily agree with that statement. The manager at my local store said that these 3 guys who bought the entire stock were together. This sounds like pros who had this planned out.

I think I might have found one of these wannabe "pros" on ebay... tell me whats wrong with this auction.

Game is sold out unfortunately. I had it in my cart for about 5 minutes or so until it was moved due to not being available anymore. Damn.

exactly. I could only find the wii version with one turntable. This has two turntables, mic and game for twenty bucks.
 
You would think that person just might only list one at a time to give the ILLUSION that they are not a hoarding a*hole. It also might TRICK someone into thinking it is a good price if you are only willing to sell ONE...not FIVE at that price....
 
I'm really mad. Searched a bunch of trus. didnt find any. Someone mentioned Gamestop, hate them a lot, then Amazon matches, without tax and free shipping, and I miss it. A truly unlucky day

Wow that guy really is a moron (what if he's a CAG?)... People always jump on me for saying this but in situations like this blowout sale stores really need a limit on what you can buy. Don't those people who hoard all this stuff feel bad for the poor little kid who stumbles across the deal and just happens to have $10 left from his allowance or something? Or how about a family that could never afford to buy this stuff and the parents found it and wanted to buy some as a huge surprise for their kids?
 
definitely agree with you there. I was on the tru thread and a few of the CAGs are absolutely doing this. I just wish they would have a little gratitude for the community here and not do it. We're all trying to save a little money on deals not just turn a profit off others. Sigh.

Turning a profit is ok sometimes, I won't deny that I flip now and then. I even checked online prices of what I bought (Guitar Hero 5, for the guitar, and DJ Hero 2 bundle) out of curiosity. Obviously they're not really worth reselling at the moment but even if I did, the difference is that I didn't clean out the store.

I can honestly say that if I was really well off money-wise in situations like this I'd go in, clean out the store, and then either give the games away or sell them for half of what I bought them for. In fact when I do sell things on Ebay I'll often bundle stuff together and do no reserve (or a low one) to ensure somebody gets a good deal.
 
Doing this type of flipping just doesn't seem worth the effort, not to mention it would make me feel like a scumbag for buying every last copy of a childrens game.

You can spend the gas and time rushing out and buying all these, then spend the time listing them all on eBay and trying making a small profit after fees and all that. You might even lose if you can't sell enough of them. Why not just play the stock market? sure there is risk involved there too, but it's easier, can be done from home, and you'll learn more about the economy.
