So I am new to the PS3 and never bought dlc off the psn.

after 30 minutes of searching i have no answers.

Here's my question...If I purchase Mafia II dlc on the PS3, do I have to be connected to the psn to play it.

I know for a while, you had to be connected to live to play dlc on the 360. I think that's all fixed now, but I haven't heard if the psn had a backwards policy like this.

Any frequent psn users help a noob out?

Always connected. Though you can mail them for a permission to play offline for periods no shorter then six months.

Kidding, you can play offline just fine.

No, once you purchase DLC from PSN you do not need to be connected to PSN to play it. Only if the DLC is online only (example: online multiplayer) will it not work.
...Your Welcome :)

Generally you don't, but some games will force you to be online to play, in an attempt to combat piracy (or maybe game sharing?). I think Capcom did that for a few games and pissed everyone off.
