Microsoft can detect modded firmware (assuming that's the modification you're considering so you can copy games). My friend has two 360's because he can't play online with the modded one or else he'll get busted.

You'd have to be a huge douche to do it though. You'd be hurting the industry. Just pay for games like everybody else and support your favorite hobby.

The xbox 360 hardware is so unreliable as it is I cant imagine why anyone would want to tinker with it. I modded an original xbox but I would never touch the 360.
