Does the PS3 Sony 7.1 Surrond Sound Headset work with VITA?

I was wondering does this headset work with VITA, I was trying to find out before I purchase it

I mean its a bluetooth Headset and Vita has Bluetooth also.....Anyone try or heard if it works?

I'm pretty sure it wouldn't work since the headset uses a USB for the PS3.

Just to confirm (I have one)... this is NOT a Bluetooth headset. It uses a 2.4ghz wireless FM usb dongle that plugs into the PS3. It will not work with the Vita.

That really sucks, because even Sony official website mentions it being bluetooth.

Not sure which site you're looking at, but the product info page doesn't mention bluetooth:

But, the other "mono" headsets will probably work fine, although I haven't tried them yet.

Personally, I'd be looking for a stereo bluetooth headset with microphone so I can use voice chat online and still have stereo audio from the game.

You are thinking of the in ear, PS3 Bluetooth Headset. Which is indeed by name a bluetooth headset. The Stereo Wireless Headset has never used bluetooth nor has it been advertised to.

I could be wrong, but I believe it uses bluetooth for the retractable microphone that you can chat with in game.

I bought the official In-Ear Headset last night. $14.99 w/free shipping thanks to Lockerz.com. This will be much easier to wrap around the Vita and store versus lugging around a bluetooth.

I'm pretty sure the Vita only has Stereo. Even the dock only has a stereo output plug.
