Incredible comic book artist...

...of Donald Duck & Uncle Scrooge.

IMO, superhero comics are complete shit. Every era of them.

He's a pretty good writer too. His best stories are grand adventures filled with historical facts & geographical accuracy. :)

P.S. Yes, I am aware that my scanning/retouching skills are non-existent. -_-

Eh he was ok, but there was a lot of art like his in that day. For his time period he was pretty much standard artist and aside from details he was pretty much like a dozen other artists and didnt have anything really unique or striking about his work that made him stand out aside from his attention to detail in his background work.

Edward gorey is a better artist than he is with using minimal detail, no landscapes and only using black ink.

Hell LB corey, steve ditko, steve dillon, alex ross, frank quietly, jim lee, richard corben, or al feldstein were better than rusa.

I think Rosa is a great artist BECAUSE of his detail. Many other artists make their art seem better than it is via excessive computer colouring & heavy use of silhouettes.

Consider me in the Don Rosa camp. I've got a couple of his collections in TPB from the late 80's.
