Anyone know where I can find either a Codebreaker or Action Replay for the Dreamcast?
They can be easily found on Ebay. Do you have anything to trade for it, or how much are you looking to spend? I might be convinced to sell/trade mine.

I can't seem to find it on ebay. Could you point me in the right direction. I have tried searching using "Dreamcast Codebreaker" and "Dreamcast Action Replay" and the only auction is a seller selling 19 French Versions of Action Replay CDX. The only cheat devices I have found on ebay have been the Gameshark Lite and Gameshark CDX. I bought a Lite but my Dreamcast would not boot it up.

I do not have anything to trade at the moment. How much would you be willing to sell your's for.

As I stated in my second post. I already saw that there are Gameshark Lites and Gameshark CDXs on ebay. I bought a Gameshark Lite but my Dreamcast doesn't boot it up. I am looking for a Codebreaker or Action Replay, not a Gameshark.

Thanks for your help anyways.

Hmm, from experience, if your Dreamcast cannot boot a gameshark, it will not boot any of the others either. There were no Action Replays back in those days. All cheating devices were made by Pelican or Datel. Datel was responsible for the then 'gameshark'. Hence, there's no Action Replay.

The codebreaker is essentially the same thing...I have them both, so I know.

Maybe it's time to dump that Dreamcast, and buy another.
I got a question about your gameshark. Is it a blue back CD?
Hmm, I cannot remember right now, but I will post back later tonight. I'll tell what each one looks like (Gameshark, gameshark lite, and codebreaker).

Thanks. I only need to know if the Gameshark lite is a blue back CD. I found it odd that it was a blue back instead of the clear color all Dreamcast discs were when I first opened it.

I just opened up my copy of Gameshark Lite and it IS indeed a blue back disc, FYI.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I never actually tested the gameshark before, since I rarely use the Dreamcast, but it never occurred to me that it didn't work for every system. It works on mine, thankfully. Maybe your disc was scratched up, Serenity?

Thanks you for confirming that it is a blue back disc.

The Gameshark Lite I bought was brand new. It didn't have a scratch on it. I just sent it back today for a replacement. Hopefully the replacement works.

So I have gone through a Gameshark Lite, Gameshark CDX, and a Codebreaker. None of them work. They all just boot up into the music player. All my games work but these three just refuse to boot up.

Time to find another Dreamcast. I'm sorry for not replying to the thread as promised. Went on vacation, and was a bit hectic before.
