DS art insert / cover art misprints on Spider-Man: Web of Shadows?

So I got a used copy of Spider-Man: Web of Shadows for the Nintendo DS in the mail today.

It's missing the Nintendo DS logo on the spine. The insert looks and feels legit. The cart doesn't look counterfeit and the manual looks legit as well.

Was this common on this game? Has anyone else encountered anything like this on other DS games?

I know this thread is 3 yrs old, but I just want to add that today received a used Spider-Man: Web of Shadows (DS) from a highly rated eBay seller that has this same exact issue.

Did anyone ever figure it out?

(Sorry, this was the only related case shown in Google's results.)
