ds paint job

my old fat launch day ds is looking more boring and boring every day. i want to ad some color to it

i was thinking of paint it it as a summer craftjob. what kind of paint should i use

anything else i shoudl know about painting the ds
 
Those decals suck... if they neatly covered the system, it would be great but when applied, they look like some cheap stickers given away in a cereal box.

If you really wanna paint it, you'll probably have to open that sucker up. It'll be a lot more work then you think I'm guessing.
 
take the unit apart and paint the halves of the case with a good automotive spraypaint. Get a can of your color, a can of primer, a can of clearcoat, some paint cleaner/polish, and some fine grain sandpaper.

-wash the case/parts to be painted thoroughly
-spray on the primer
-sand the primer
-spray the color
-sand the color
-spray the color
-sand the color (repeat as necessary)
- spray the clearcoat
-sand the clearcoat
-clean with the paint cleaner/polish
-enjoy!

I paint PC cases this way, along with the plastic front bezels and drive covers and I usually get good results. Heres some links to pc painting faqs with pics...
