DS Repair Help

A few weeks ago I got a original DS at a garage sale that was marked as not working. After switching the battery out with another DS, I thought it was just a bad battery. So I bought a new battery off eBay for a few bucks and I figured that would solve it. When I plugged the DS in to charge, nothing happened. The light didn't turn on and when I let the battery die, it wouldn't charge it back to life. So I figure it's the charger port that's not working. Does anybody know a way to fix this? I searched around a little bit on Google but couldn't find anything useful except this. I've also seen some replacement charger ports for the DS lite but I couldn't find any for the original DS. Any help would be great.

I'm 100% sure it's not the batteries because the original one (once charged up a little) and the eBay one work in the other DS. Also the DS works fine with a charged battery, it just won't charge the battery.
