dual monitor setup help

can someone help me out here, I had a dual monitor setup but i unplugged one monitor to use it on another computer but now my computer still thinks i have 2 monitors i changed it to run sli which is supposed to run one monitor but when i turn my computer on the computer is black untill windows is loaded completly since it thinks its running 2 monitors what do i need to do here im selling the computer on monday so id like to know how to change this?

You probably already figured this out, but just connect your monitor to the opposite port on your video card from where it's at now. If at that point you can see your screen but don't have a tool bar, just right-click your desktop to bring up your video card software, then change which monitor is acting as the primary. If the video card software loads on the wrong screen...you're FUBARD.

Typically you only have to deal with this type of stuff with Linux, Windows however is *suppose to automatically detect if you're only using 1 monitor.
