Duke Nukem Forever Teaser Trailer--Hail to the King, baby

I know someone who still has a Gamestop pre-order slip from like....maybe 2000? I used to have a picture of it but I cant find it.
 
Will this be PC only or will it be on the Consoles? I'm excited actually. I played Duke Nukem 3D a lot back in the day! I loved it more than Doom.

It'll prolly be on consoles. 3D Realms was behind Prey and that was released on both the PC and 360, so I don't know why this would be any different.
 
this is like my post I did last year about Duke 4 coming at the end of the year that stirred a lot of people. It was stated that Take-Two had until the end of 2006 to get Duke finished and published or near gold status to get there bonus of a few hundred thousands of dollars.

I've given up on Duke.

When it comes (if it does come), no body is gonna care and it's going to be the end of take two. I will end up buying it when it hits clearance. The PC version will be buggy, constant crashes, require an extremely high rig to play because of sloppy coding and have lack luster multiplayer with major lag and the gaming system version will have bad frame rates and no one will be able to play online because of the server crashes.

OP please rescale your pic please :)
 
Gonna take more than a teaser-trailer to convince me this coming out any time soon, but this is cool nonetheless. I want screens, vids, and interviews.

I could see this coming out, but it will probably suck. They took way to long to bring back the Duke.

I saw a receipt picture for a Duke Nukem pre-order from Babbage (maybe somewhere else?) dated sometime in 1998 (?) I believe. A repost of the that picture would be most approriate for this thread.

That teaser is probably the only thing created/completed so far.

I would give anything to work at 3D Realms where I could play online all day, do no work, yet still recieve a paycheck.

Seriously, what other game out there that has been in *development* for 10 years come out to be mega hits when they are released?


Now I am excited that we are finally getting something after 10 years, but I do expect a lot of bugs, and huge system requirements due to sloppy coding. Man it must be great to work at Take-Two... you get to work on a vaporware title for 10 years and get paid your 60k a year salary with a "No hurry, when it's done" work enviorment.

Stalker did pretty well but it was only in development hell for 6 years.

Take-Two is not 3D Realms.

3D Realms is completely funding this project out of their own pocket (with old Duke Nukem/Max Payne/Prey money) so Take-Two has nothing to do with it besides getting the ability to publish it when it's completed.

Yea but it still requires a fast rig to play it well..even though it has nothing that requires such high end requirements. Heck my rig was choaking on it at 12 fps...so i gave up and uninstalled it.

I think it had an autoplay menu system that had a preview of Duke 4 and a pretty need wall paper. I still have it. The first track is actually pretty good, with him having an orgasum. :p

Duke Nukem reminds me of Snakes on a plane.. the game just needs samuel L Jackson come by and say.. "got dammit Duke Nukem is gonna be the game of the Mutha fuckin Year!"
 
After how many years, this is what they give us?

I loved Duke. And my heart bled for him, truly it did, when those alien bastards shot up his ride. I mean, that was tragic. But I look at this pic, and its horrible. Looks like someone took a face cap of bruce willis and put it on some 3dskin in duke attire, then photoshopped some wayfarers on. Granted, it's better than the old 8block graphics from '91, but this isn't 1991.

It's one image, but one picture can say 1000 words. And with Duke around, those words will probably titilate the pre-adolescent crowd. Sadly this one picture is telling me that I'm going to be massively disappointed.

You know what really pissed me off about Prey? Announced in 1996 and stated for 1997. Then comes out in 2006. I wouldn't say that exactly pisses me off, but the fact that 3d realms stated that Prey sold so well that they can work on Duke Nukem Forever INDEFINITELY. Nine years for Prey.

Now I remember back in 1997 when I was 13 telling my friends that Duke Nukem Forever was going to beat the fuck out of Quake 2 and Unreal. Those were the days.
