DVD/Blu Digital / Ultraviolet Code Trade - READ THE OP! ONE POST EVERY THREE DAYS!

I feel like it shouldn't take a rocket scientist to 'discover' this, but I've just used rubbing alcohol to get the stamp off my discs, I've converted more than 50 discs this way and cleaned them. You want to clean the stamp off within an hour of the process for the easiest time, otherwise you'll need to add a little elbow grease, but it works perfectly and doesn't damage the disc.

And here's a link of confirmed titles for you as well, the list has likely grown since this list was published about six months ago, but it hasn't shrunk:

good. now i'm sure they didn't do it to my disc & yes rubbing alcohol will take it right of but be carefull of the disc artwork.

Rocket science or not, having to clean my discs of something I didn't ask for is not something I'm happy with, and provides for other possible issues like my elbow grease removing the art thats on the top of the disc. It's just a retarded attempt on walmarts part to stop a single disc being used for multiple vudu conversions.

As far as I know...but also, now that CN has linked with UV, most of their titles are getting the UV stamp and becoming part of your locker....so you can scoop up new stuff and pre-releases for your collection more easily and cheaper :)

Plus, I have been on the horn with CN and BB about being able to pick up the physical disc copy after you buy it on CN..they've given me the green light to head to BB and pick up my copies, just have to go do it and see what entails.
 
I guess I'll find out tonight, I'll try caddy shack, I know it is on the list of D2D candidates, and can be upgraded to HD for < 5$. If it works I may start converting in bulk at about 2$ per upgrade vs buying uv codes.

hell, at his current price you'd get 10 converted, so that's LESS than $1.50 each for HDX.

But he told me he will be having "flash" sales soon for the like $75 for $15 etc....those ones will be money for D2D

I've done about 20 movies at Walmart here, and they do stamp the disc with a ink, but once you have it done go out side, with a rag and a little spit and then wipe it off. I did this and presto the ink was gone, I did let one sit for a little while and yes it does etich in to the disc. If you want, something that i did and got away with it, was to put some tape on the inside hub, and then cut the excess away, a un knowing employee won't know, if you did it right.

If your helping out someone, once you convert the movies, make sure that you change stores. DUH.

READ ME: Pre-sale new release code sales are kept in a spreadsheet in the order payment is received. They are distributed like this: blu-ray first, then mixed bu/dvd that weren't sorted by supplier and finally codes from dvd. I often don't know until day of release how many will be blu vs mixed vs dvd, but obviously the higher you are on the pre-paid list, the more likely you are to get a blu-ray code (if that sort of thing matters to you). Pre-sale through release day is the only time both codes will be the same price. After that, codes from blu-ray will be priced higher due to supply and demand.
