Why did the original thread about this totally disappear? (shouldn't the old links work even if the thread's moved to the graveyard?)

I was just going to place an order tonight and it seems like they killed this early... wasn't it supposed to go through Saturday? (I was trying to find the old thread to look up the dates)

Im not sure, but it appears this deal is completely dead....I cant even check out in the EA store rite now?
