I think this movie is looking really good.

Official site: http://www.eagleeyemovie.com/

IMDb: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1059786/

Starring: Shia LaBeouf, Michelle Monaghan, Rosario Dawson, Anthony Azizi and Billy Bob Thornton.
Directed by: D.J. Caruso.

PLOT: Two strangers (LaBeouf and Monaghan) become the pawns of a mysterious woman they have never met, but who seems to know their every move. Realizing they are being used to further her plot for a political assassination, they must work together to outwit the woman before she has them killed.

PLOT with possible spoilers:
Shia Labeouf reteams with "Disturbia" director D.J. Caruso playing a young slacker whose twin brother has died mysteriously. Rachel (Monaghan) finds that her child is missing, and soon the two strangers realize that they have been framed as terrorists. Forced to become members of a cell that has plans to carry out a political assassination, they must work together to extricate themselves while being led by a mysterious voice.

And so continues Shia Labeouf's ascent in becoming a serious-movie actor. At first I thought this was related to the old PC game, Eagle Eye Mysteries, but alas, it is not. However, the premise seems somewhat interesting. It's nice to see Billy Bob Thornton in a movie where he isn't playing a hardcore comical asshole. Bad Santa was enough.

Is this a movie based on the Robot Chicken sketch about the blind man who yells outloud "I'm a Cappin!" Maybe? I hope?

That's honestly the first thing that came to mind.

This was one of the best trailers when I went to see Hancock today (next to Step Brothers and The Dark Knight, of course). Personally, I think it'll be pretty good even if he looks too young for the role. (love the movie premise...thriller/comedy?)

I've been on the Shia LaBeouf bandwagon since "Holes" which is up their with the likes of Citizen Kane and The Godfather.

Dude can act.

When he picked up that cell phone, I was totally prepared for Laurence Fishburn to say "I can guide you but you must do exactly as I say."

It's like Saw for yuppies. Steven Spielberg should just write this kid into his will and stop putting him in all his movies.

I'm more interested in renting Vantage Point than going to a theater and dropping $10+ for this.
