EB/GS Deal of the Day

I would love too see a Folklore 2 maybe same island different type of story or new area but same kinda monsters or whatever. that's how much i loved that game.

I'm sorry to hear the others who responded about the game didn't like it ( ichit4k4: I really never thought of it as a RPG i couldn't see my stats or upgrade anything i never really took it as a RPG tho it had some RPG like Elements if i remember Correctly but that was it. ) haha also fighting different monsters to capture them to get new abilities sorta reminded me of Pokemon kinda creatures but creatures never jumped out of a ball to fight. I sorta wanna Drop DCUO to replay it again ! :lol:[/QUOTE]

Mind me, I LOVED the art. Enjoyed the first hour (played it for bout 10 hours) but it never really picks up and you end up doing the same thing over and over. Battle system is super shallow etc. Im trying to be careful with how much fun I have playing game, and this one wasnt for me :(
Really wanted to love it tho :p
 
Went to redeem the $5 off any $9.99 used games coupon today. There were some great games being displayed right next to the deal of the day.

Hmm... Thanks for the tip about Metroid Other M. Still not sure if I want that game though, even at $10. Word of mouth is so weak and the review scores weren't any better. Then again, interesting action titles are somewhat rare on Wii.

I really wish they would include more handheld games as a part of their Daily Deals. Aside from Pokemon & Resistance, there hasn't been anything handheld related.
 
I hear good things about Blur but I honestly don't like racing games outside of the Kart racers and Burnout Paradise. I'm going to demonstrate restraint and save my money for games I want like S&P and whatever they'll have during March. Maybe something for the DS if I'm lucky.

For $10 I might just get Blur and Split/Second. I generally don't care for racers, but if they're completely crazy arcadey fun I can't say no.

For $10 you should try it (deal's over though). It has its flaws and I suppose if you're a Super Metroid fan you may hate the controls and storyline but it's still a fun and short (100% in about 10 hours for me) romp.

Is Split/Second just like Burnout? I'm not a fan of racing sims but for $5 it couldn't hurt.

My impressions are based solely on the demo, but it's no Burnout. I found that the design relied to much on external factors rather than the driving and it seemed that once you'd played a track a couple times, it would get old. Again, I've only played the demo, and for $5 it's not like you have much to lose.

I've really enjoyed Blur though, even if the AI seems cheap sometimes.
 
Well Split/Second was available online a few minutes ago, as was Blur. When I went to complete the order, I got re-directed back to my cart and was informed Blur was OOS. Well, time to hit up the local EB!

To me, Split/Second is Burnout if created by Michael Bay. It's an absolute blast. I can't even explain how satisfying it is when you blow down a building, knock out the four cars ahead of you and then take first place. I'd take Split/Second over Burnout Paradise any day.
 
I'm going to try to pick up a few copies of Blur today. I thought that the demo was pretty decent and the only reason I skipped it was because of Split/Second. Now that I can purchase it for cheaper than a rental, why not? I'm going to try to pick up a copy for myself, brother, sister and friend. :)
 
Went to Eb games in Scarborough Town Centre In Toronto. Sold out of Blur, and I picked up the last copy of Split/Second. It went and sold out pretty quickly indeed.
 
Got both Blur and Split Second. Both games are selling out quickly everywhere. If you can't get to a store early you may be forced to order it online.

Next time you have a game to trade in exchange that case with the gummy one. I do it all the time with the used games from EB that have the stickers glued on with crazy glue.

Blur was listed as 'Unavailable Online' at 9am this morning, and it's still unavailable now. Did they do a re-stock during the day?

On another note, man GS is quick with their online orders. I ordered a couple games at like 9am, tried to cancel the order at 10:30 and was told it was already processed and being shipped out, and sure enough, I received an 'Order Processed' e-mail an hour later.
 
just came back from EB games in Montreal Nord...
they were all out of Blur (ps3) but they still had a couple of Split Second (360) at 5$

If you're in Edmonton and don't mind a bit of a drive, they have a bunch of copies of both games in St. Albert. Limit of 2 per customer so they should probably have some all day.
 
Got Blur but missed out on Split/Second for my buddy. I was at the EB in the Rideau Centre (Ottawa) at 9:35 (mall opens at 9:30) and apparently Split/Second had sold out. I'm sure it was low stock to begin with, but I was still surprised I got beaten to the punch that early.

Anybody know if Rock Band 1 instruments work with GH: Smash Hits? I know they did for some of the earlier GH games, just not sure if they kept up the compatibility.
