The Fallout: New Vegas Collector's Edition comes with:
•Let it Ride! In a huge, open world with unlimited options you can see the sights, choose sides, or go it alone. Peacemaker or Hard Case, House Rules, or the Wild Card - it’s all in how you play the game

•“Lucky 7” poker chips. Each of the seven poker chips was designed to represent chips from the major casinos found on the New Vegas strip and throughout the Mojave Wasteland.
•A fully customized Fallout: New Vegas deck of cards. Each card in the pack has been uniquely illustrated to depict characters and factions found within the game. Use the cards to play poker, blackjack or Caravan, an original card game that was created by Obsidian especially for New Vegas!
•A recreation of the game’s highly coveted “Lucky 38” platinum chip.
•A hardcover graphic novel “All Roads”, that tells the story of some of the characters and events that lead up to Fallout: New Vegas. “All Roads” was written by Chris Avellone, the game’s creative director, and created in conjunction with Dark Horse Comics.
•‘The Making of Fallout: New Vegas’ DVD. This documentary DVD will contain exclusive video content, including interviews with the developers in which they take you from concept to creation and discuss topics such as story, setting, legacy of the Fallout franchise and more.
World of Warcraft CE's (all of them)
Diablo 2 - came with epic amounts of stuff, google it
World in Conflict
Unreal III (I got a T-shirt wtih it)
Warcraft III
Dark Messiah of Might & Magic (Ok, I like the box)
Heroes of Might and Magic V
Half Life 2 (came with a T-shirt)
Spore
Disciples II
Halo 3 Legendary Edition that I got for 60 bucks (yeah, I waited on this one, but I didn't have a 360 at the time)
GTA IV
Sins of a Solar Empire
Bioshock
Mass Effect II

Yeah.. I know, I'm going to get the "OMGWTF PC gaming" or "Hey, that one game X I totally don't agree with, so your wrong" - but there have been a good number of CE's that have had good stuff.

With that said... I agree, it's going to hell in a hand-basket - we need bigger boxes and more free stuff. I just got done bending over for the CE of Starcraft... man it hurt. =(
That Diablo 2 special edition was fucking sweet. That crazy huge box was so awesome!

The Unreal Tournament 2004 special edition was also really nice. It came on a DVD and had a ton of tutorial videos for the editor. Probably the most "useful" special edition I've seen.

Agreed, that was an awesome special edition. I actually went throught the turotials and made my own level. Wasnt anything super fancy but it was fun playing on it since I created it. I totally forgot about that. Might have to dig out my UT2004 DVD.

Really? What was so nice about it

Diablo II game discs & jewel case
Diablo II Soundtrack (containing 17 songs from the game)
Diablo II DVD Movie containing 24 minutes of remastered, DVD quality cinematics from within the game.
Behind the scenes video of art and sketches from the game
game trailers for Diablo, Diablo II, StarCraft, StarCraft: Brood War, and WarCraft III as well as a "Final Destination" movie trailer
Diablo II Dungeons & Dragons paper and pen RPG
Collector's Edition number on the box (70,000 pieces)

So it had a soundtrack of songs that weren't good, sketches and art that are available on the internet, remastered trailers in case you want to watch 24 minutes of cut scenes for no reason, and a pen and paper rpg.

Nothing in there at all that I care about. The cards, poker chips, graphic novel, etc here are alot more intresting to me.

Looks sweet. I have the normal edition preordered for $45 now, so that actually makes upgrading to the CE even more expensive for me (Assuming no deal on the CE).

Shame it doesnt have anything cool in it. I mean cards and poker chips? Thats not stuff I can display and look at it, it will just sit in the box and rot. I gave up on bonus dvds along time ago, they are 96% of the time just the developers jerking off to themselves at how awesome they are and how great their game is for 7 minutes.

I cant even get excited about this since obsidian is making it and they havent ever made a game worth a shit. They wallow is mediocirty at best.

Ok so 25OFF still dead? SOme people were saying it worked for them. Also if you guys are only going to talk about CEs then why not have a mod move this to a different forum?

Alternatively, keep your cheap regular edition and buy this CE later when it drops to $40 like FO3 CE did.

This CE is gonna be on massive production.

So is there any codes currently that work on preorders? Id like to get the CE but I guess Ill wait to use my RDR coupon on it.

25off coupon was working (though not reliably) until yesterday. It is now showing as being expired if you try entering it.

Got this for about $20 with trade in credit. I bitched at them for not disclosing that their $10 pre order codes don't work on pre-orders and they are manually applying it to my order knocking it off another $10.
25deal gets you $20 off, the catch is you have to spend $100+
That is for in-stock items. Also ANother coupon I saw was:

Save $20* on orders of $80 or more with code: 20OFF80 – online only.
Check out our in-stock Wii/DS titles and take a cool 15% off* with code: 15WIIDS – online only.

All are for in-stock

what 10 dollar pre-order code? Unless you mean the code you get for ordering select titles like red dead redemption and halo reach.

I'm just curious if you guys didn't notice the $20 off $80 purchase code from gamestop. I mean $60 for a CE is pretty sweet in my book for release day.

I recently bought Fallout 3 but it pretty much just got buried in my torrential backlog. That and it seemed like too much of an "investment' time-wise if it's anywhere near as long as Oblivion.

However, that set does seem pretty nice.

I say "seem" and not "look" because the box, etc. looks just as war-torn as the actual game. So, not sure if this has been brought up yet, but does anyone know if that extra stuff really has that cheap/rustic look to it? Because if so, that's kind of a deal-breaker for me (the LE, that is).

Unfortunately as big a fan as I am of Fallout (and no I don't think Obsidian is going to screw this one up) I already seen what happened last time, which is to say 5 dlc expansions (which were all good) at $10 a pop and then if I would have waited a bit longer I could have gotten the whole package for $60 in the game of the year edition.

Think I'll wait and see. Not like there aren't plenty of games being released to keep me busy.

Fallout 3 was possibly my favorite game this generation, when I started playing it. It took me a while to settling down to play it and be engrossed in it, and considering I had gotten that CE for $50 from an Amazon DOTD the January after it came out, I might wait for this one...

Considering that you can always share the DLC discs i'm not to worried about that.

Or you know, you could support the devs by buying the DLC right when it's released because you DO love Fallout so much. I was one of the people who spent the $10 a pop on top of the initial $60 for the game, and I don't regret one bit of it. I even thought Operation Anchorage was great...sure Point Lookout & Broken Steel were the best, but FO3 as a whole gave me a gaming experience like no other.

Now available for preorder at Amazon now. Still 79.99 but figured I would make it known that Amazon has finally added it. Will keep watch on the price.

I like how people pay an extra $20 for a cardboard box, and some other worthless crap. On a related note, I find it hard to believe this is actually a "deal".
