I have some suggestions in the event that cheapy or someone important actually reads this post.

Maybe make it 4 winners of $100 each, you know to spread the monies around? Also I've noticed-at least for the Wednesday Wishlist contest-that a good deal of the winners were noobs (less than 3 months of being registered) or users with hardly any activity (lurkers with post counts in single digits etc). So idk
