Fixing SNES

My SNES turns on but the screen just goes black. I have tried all my different games so I know it's the console. I tried cleaning it with 25% rubbing alcohol and a swab but that didn't do anything. There is no sound either. Could someone link me to something on how to take it apart and clean the insides or explain it.

Also how much is Chrono Trigger worth?
 
Try sliding some card between the contacts in the consoles slot connecter, a good hoover out wont do any harm first either. Failing that just get another snes off ebay theres plenty of em going cheap these days :)
 
Chrono Trigger cart only is about $25 - $30

Chrono Trigger complete depending on the condition can get up to around $120 in good condition, but drop to $75 if it's beat up.
 
It is probably just old. You can always try cleaning the contacts inside the system. If doing that and cleaning your games don't work, it'd probably be best just to find another SNES.
