Spoke too soon. Just announced as of April 1, they're removing the OtherOS feature to remove original units the ability to run Linux even if it's already installed.

This really sucks because I use it as my back up word processor for assignments and shit. And this goes the same for a few people I know who uses it for the same reason.

Wow that is honestly completely retarded on Sony's part. What's next? Removing the PS2 backward compatibility on the ones that initially had it as well?
 
personally, i hate platforming and thus like prototype waaaaaaaay more, IMO the gameplay in infamous just moved really slow compared to prototype, but it was still a really good game
