The ps3 can't download the content. It can't even play it. The 36p can stream amazon content if you use it as a media center (the ps3 can't play that file format).

sadly it doesn't work on ipods, it can work on your tv if you have certain dvr boxes.

You should be able to stream it to your TV with a 360, PS3, or Wii using PlayOn. http://www.playon.tv/playon

It's not free, but there's a trial that you can install when you're ready to watch whatever it is that you purchase/rent.
