I'm going to save my points up for a new board game or two. I have been eying 1960: The Making of the President to play with my wife.

http://www.gaminglagoon.com/?ref=5467
How can you order boardgames with GL points? I've got over a hundred saved up and wouldn't mind grabbing a game or two... it's either going to be that or the 120GB harddrive, though I'd rather wait for a price drop.

You just need to find them on a website and then custom order them. Spoo has gotten a board game from GL before, so it'll definitely be approved.

Hmmm, I never thought it would stretch that far... I assume any site will work? Amazon resellers are horribly overpriced for most games (outside of common stuff like Monopoly). It was worth popping into this thread just for that info ;)

Yeah, you can order from just about any website or eBay. Just make sure you have enough points to cover the purchase, tax and shipping. Or, if you have a coupon code for free shipping or something, include that in your custom order description so they use it.
Yeah, I've shopped with Thought Hammer a few times before and had great experiences.... except for the fact the money was coming out of my pocket ;) Now I'm going to be really torn as to what to do with my saved up points.... *sigh*

Thanks for the confirmation though :)
I'm glad I could help, if nothing else it is nice to drop the Thought Hammer name since I have also had nothing but good experiences with them also.

I have a few things to say:

First, haseeb, nice effort, but don't spam your referral link if you've contributed nothing else to the thread previously. Second, I know Foladar has consistently come in here and announced that this is spoo's thread, but personally, I always viewed it as the definitive GamingLagoon thread at CheapAssGamer where active participants would discuss the site and offers and such, though it seems to have just turned in to spoo's personal referral bump thread anymore. Obviously, I can't come in here and tell spoo what to post in his own topic, I mean it is his, after all... but all the referral links have left me completely uninterested in this thread anymore for GL discussion. But to each his own...

I don't understand how Gaming Lagoon knows that you've completed these offers? I don't get it. Does someone wanna explain it to me a little better? As soon as I click some survey links, it takes me to some other site, where I am bombarded with all this other crap, that I have a feeling is not affiliated with Gaming Lagoon in any way.

Gaming lagoon knows that you completed an offer by unique cookies that a site leaves after you complete an offer. Gaminglagoon gets paid by the sites that the offers are for. We are getting paid in gaming goods to be advertised to is what it all comes down to.

So, I can re-do offers after a couple days, as long as I clear out my cookies? Are you sure? Can't they just look in your profile and see what offers you've already done?

After you finish an offer you need to report it using the "completed" button on the bottom of an offer. It will then go into the pending offer and check with the system to approve, after a week if it doesn't approve then it will go in your disapproved offer section and you can redo the offer if you please (I have never had much luck once an offer disapproves, ymmv).

Be sure to clean your cookies manually or use Ccleaner before you log onto gaminglagoon each and every time for a higher percentage of approved offers.

I've gotten $3.77 in points so far, but I also have a lot of pending offers. Do some of these usually take so long, because some of them have been approved just a couple minutes after I completed them.

Well, I think I've figured out what I'm saving up my points for! I think I'll go for the Wlip - a solderless solution for Wii modchips! What with the Wii being hacked, and a fellow figuring out how to do some sweet VR stuff using the Wii sensor bar and remote, I think the investment for the homebrew should be pretty awesome!

That being said, I just completed the Yahoo Success Center - 15.00, CC required offer. It costs $1.95 for a 14 day trial, but it credited in under 3 minutes! A phone call will be required for cancellation of said trail. This offer is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for anyone looking for fast points on GL.

Can someone help me out with finding valid fake addresses, please? I don't feel comfortable using my own, and I haven't had much luck googling.

I'd also rather not just guess out of fear of unsuspecting individuals being bombarded with spam for no apparent reason.

Thanks.

Well, I try once in awhile. But really now... if you're not willing to give up your address you're kinda not well suited for a freebie site, are you? Didn't mean to be too rude, but he's a newbie, gotta be harsh so they learn right away and then grow to be respectable CAGs, right? Haha!

Actually, this is a good opportunity for me to plug my new freebie site guide (link is in my signature). Sounds like to me Altaar could really do well to read it. It'll teach him a trick to get control of that SPAM mail being sent to his real address.

SpitFire, do you have AIM? If so, IM me at iowaholdem. I want to talk to you about points2shop. You might be able to get a referral out of me.

Foladar and Spoo, if you guys have a problem with me "plugging" my freebie site guide in this thread, PM me right away and I'll edit it out. Thanks.

Make a Gmail account. It's free. As for my advice, it's not. Now you are contractually obligated to sign up for Gaming Lagoon using the link in my sig. ;)

I kid, I kid... but not really. :D

I will not support any fraud discussion in this thread. Read the ToS of GamingLagoon. Always use your real info, if you are caught using fraudulent information you will be banned from gl.

I ordered a new DVD drive for my PC two weeks ago and they sent it to another member. They are having the member it was shipped to ship it to Dietzel and then to me. Just a minor inconvenience but my PC has been without a drive for a few weeks now.

Use your *real* information.
If your signing up for CAG to ask us how to cheat (insert site) then you likely won't be around long on those sites.

It seems like the site is running a little quicker with the changes too. Very nice!

By the way Spoo, I signed up under you a while ago but forgot to say hi.

Now that you mention it, GL does seem a bit speedier. Also thanks for the referral!

Wow, you really don't know anything about either site, do you? On GL, you do not need to have a credit card, but there are credit card offers. On R1, you do not need to have a credit card, but there are credit card offers. GL has 1300 offers worth over $5600. R1 has about 130 offers worth nothing near that. GL is a great site, R1 is a good site in it's own respect. But the real truth of the matter is this, you wanted to spam your referral link in spoo's thread in hopes of picking up some referrals since you can't post your own topic in the referral central forum, isn't it?

i was just trying to help out, i thought as i read other peoples posts that people were unsure about what was going on, i figured i could sorta sum it up. No real need to go ape about it.

Cleaned up "the mess" .. don't spam here, there is a 30-day waiting period and allowance of one thread per member for a reason, put it to use.

I have now made 50.01 since signing up on Saturday. Yes, Gaming Lagoon DOES work. I am sure whichever CAG referred me is digging the money they are making off me.

Free PSP here I come!

If it's you, thank you thank you thank you! Haha. If you haven't tried it yet (which if you're filboid, you haven't) do the 15 point Yahoo Success Center offer. It costs $1.95 but credited within minutes for me. I still need to cancel it, though it was a great offer!

Definitely a nice job, I joined GL awhile back but never did anything with it. I am going to use it to get those miscroft point cards. Currently shooting for the 1600 one.
