So one of the first things I wanted to test out on me wii was if I could play GBA games on it via my Intec GameCube Advance Port:

http://www.amazon.com/Intec-GameCube-Advance-Port/dp/B0001EPWSA

After I loaded it in, the system gave me some error mesage about the disk not being recognized. Then I tried my import copy of nintendo puzzle collection and that didn't work. Then to test out everything I threw in my FreeLoader Boot disk and the Wii hated that too.

So are there any 3rd party CG disks the wii does like ? Or did nintendo do a really good job of locking the system down ?

Freeloader didn't work for me either. Tried it while in the disc channel and just booting it up with the disc inside, got nothing either way.
are you guys using different brands of freeloader?
I don't think there's anything besides Datel and the Action Replay in the US.

There are different versions, though presumably the newest is the best
