Trade in 2 games, preorder any game for 29.99!! (July 19th - ??)

I was thinking about Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Socom 3 but SW:B 2 comes out in November, so there might be a better, more convenient trade in deal right then. I most likely will preorder Socom III and then save the other $45-$50 after I get that, for cheap ass deals as they come. :D So my first year of getting money for my birthday I got RB6: Lockdown, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, Persona 2: Eternal Punishment, Battlefield 2: Modern Combat, Socom III, and $45-$50 cash. I think that's better than 1 or 2 games with loads of garbage... :D
 
Picked up Lunar Dragon Song, and only had to pay $24.99 more (since I put $5 down). Surprisingly, they had 2 more copies on the shelf, marked $29.99. This game is listed at $39.99 alot of places.

I also preordered Mario Party 7, and took a look at the DS listings in the computer - there is one new one of note, Black & White Creatures, which retails for $39.99. That will be my next preorder. I also saw Super Pac-Man Pinball in there, but I had heard that was cancelled. Saw some other new things like Boy and his Blob, Elf Bowling, and several other games like that :D.

Mortal Kombat Deception: KE (XBOX)

I am guessing a $1 a piece on the ones below and YMMV on getting them to qualify for the preorder.

Using the trade 2 get a pre-order for $29.99 deal, $40 games are also $29.99. They don't adjust the price, because the deal is to get the game for $29.99, not to get the game for $20 off retail.

This gets $13, according to my inquiry last week. And I think you're pretty much on the mark for your second list. I would expect them to not qualify for the preorder unless you get someone who doesn't know/care about the restriction.

In case anyone was wondering, they fixed the GameCube trade-in prices. I checked today and Pikmin 2 gets $10 in trade now.
 
So do all Gamecube games get nothing for a trad ein value now? Like if I trade Metrpid Prime in now...will I only get like 50 cent or something??

Does anyone know if Gamerush will be getting the Resident Evil 4 Premium Edition for PS2 in? I'm guessing they won't.
 
Anyone recall what the restrictions are for trading in cames that qualify?

I traded in a game and got $3 for it, and another got $1.50. These 2 trades went towards that 2 for $30 deal

You got lucky. The $1.50 game shouldn't have worked - but as I've said before, here, since the trade-ins and the preorder are done as separate transactions there's nothing to stop it from working with non-qualifying games except the clerk who rang you up. I have a few $1.50 games that I'd like to get rid of, and not much else left to trade. I might try slipping one in with a higher values game just to see what happens. It has been so long I think they might have forgotten the restrictions :D. The game I want to preorder is a $40 game anyway, so it's not like they're getting screwed...

Good to hear they fixed the GC trade-in values. Late last night they were still messed up. Now if they would just ship those Battalion Wars to their stores...

Finally got my copy in today! Picked it up and its pretty fun. Just not as much fun as Ultimate Spiderman.

Anyone know when Pokemon XD is supposed to be at GR?

The one that was on the Capcom site for $129.99? Doubtful. They had like "1000" copies total.
 
Picked up Battalion Wars (woo-hoo!). I also took a look at the PSP preorder list and didn't see anything new and exciting except that I saw Black & White Creatures listed there (as well as under DS). There is no listing for this at EB (though, interestingly, there is one for PS2!). There is a very brief blurb about a PSP version on IGN, but no release date.

Also, in addtion to Mario Party 7, they have added Chibi Robo to the GC preorder list.

I also checked some tradein prices:

Xbox - Hitman Contracts: $5
Xbox - Maximum Chase: $3
PS2 - Duel Masters: $3
PS2 - Call of Duty Finest Hour: $8
PS2 - Trivial Pursuit: $8 (didn't this drop to $6.75 for a while?)
PS2 - NBA Street: $1.50 (and thus not qualified for the preorder deal)
 
Hmmm, I wonder how B&W for PSP will be....thanks for the head's up. I'm lost on what to pre-order...should I keep my games until 360 or get something now?

No, there is a $50 one that comes with a metal case and DVD. Ebgames and Gamestop have it listed.

If it is listed I'm going to switch my normal RE4 (PS2) preorder to the Premium Edition. :D I'm glad my GR is cool about switching preorders. ^.^
 
Anyone know how much Guilty Gear Isuka and Samurai Legend Musuashi trade in for?

I remember GR had Isuka at 39.99 used for the longest time, hopefully it gets somewhere around $20 in credit.

Yeah, I agree....I jsut have games to trade burning a hole in my pocket so to say. I want to wait for a 360 trade in deal, but I want the most for my money. Maybe I'll trade my PSP games in to get some better loot.

got capcom classics for xbox (really sweet game) and a nice soul reaver 2 for ps2 completing my blood omen collection

My friend was trying to trade two games and get battalion wars for 30. she took a half hour to find the game (not lying), actually ended up calling a mentally disabled employee over who found the game in under 3 minutes. Then she thought battalion wars was a movie and said "that deal is only on games", the mentally disabled employee corrected her "that is a game you can tell just by the price 49.99" pwnt. Thanks to employee stupidity he ended up getting the game for 30 even though I'm pretty sure it's only supposed to be for pre-orders.

I found a used copy of FF7 non-GH that someone had just traded in it was selling for 3.99 I crossed my fingers and hoped it would be in decent condition, sadly when the employee opened it the cds were scratched straight to hell, oh well.

It seemed like a lot of the n64 games were dropped down to 99 cents, star fox 64, pokemon stadium, bomberman. So it might just be a matter of time before they clearance those off SNES style (please please please).

I believe it has been for a while now. Hopefully I'll find a couple games to trade in in the next few weeks and get that ordered. The non-Mario games I can wait on till they get cheap, I suppose.

Would this be at the Farmington Hills, MI Gamerush (9 mile and Middlebelt)? That sounds like them.

I picked up that Capcom Collection yesterday too, I haven't played it yet though cause my friend borrowed my XBox to play Metal Slug 4&5.

I also got the following $.99 N64 carts: Diddy Kong Racing, Turok 2, and Perfect Dark.
 
Well, GameRush totally kicked ass today.

Starts on Wednesday....I went to pick up my Far Cry pre-order and asked if they had the FREE RS:3. They looked and said nope, but gave me SC:pT. She said she would look for RS:3 and call me...yeah right I thought. However, today, she calls and says...we got the RS:3 promo copies in...you can come in and pick it up if you want. I was like SURE....and went down after work. So, I got TWO free games w/FarCry.

Anyways, she knows me by name and I've asked about switching pre-orders before, and they always said they would only give me $30 back. Anyways, I asked again today to switch to 360 games and she was like, you'll have to pay the $10 difference!

I was like GREAT....let the switching begin. I only switch 4 of my pre-orders...I would've done more, but I started to feel like an ass.

Call of Duty would make good trading fodder then... it only sells for $5 at TRU right now. Still wondering about that Guilty Gear Isuka, since it's $15 at TRU, and GR might give some ridiculous price like $20 since it's so high used.

drfrielgood, perhaps you can add one little detail to that story - the cutoff value of trade-ins for those people who were banned (not you, since your case is different - the 12 customers in your district who were banned). It would be interesting to others here and perhaps serve as a warning to some who might be coming close.

IO, if you haven't crossed that point by now, I would be absolutely amazed. I suspect they are going district by district, with the DM's doing the research.

Good news for all you people banned in Orange County, the DM Mark is gone. Time to ask for a reinstatement, the new DM's name is I think Linda.

Burnout Revenge Xbox = $37.10 trade in credit


Traded in Burnout before the value goes down, I rented the only copy of Farcry they had for Xbox. Not the only one in stock but the only copy they will rent. This store is weird, to rent new release wise the have 1 copy of all the new release games EXCEPT NBA 2K6 which they put 6 copies of on the shelf yesterday. They overlook alot of games to like Indigo Prophecy they dont have.... I used to have a gamepass there and stuff was IMPOSSIBLE to rent because half the employees and the GR manager would rent stuff out before it ever hit the shelves. Most of those employees are gone now but still the selection sucks. Oh well at least I have 15 free rental coupons that I bought off Ebay for $30. ;)

What are BB around the country like, do they have multiple copies of game? There are 2 other BB I go to sometimes and they usually get at least 2-3 of a average game, more if it's a big title.
 
$37.10 trade credit? What a weird number, o_O I'm going to my local GR today to rent a copy of Radiata Stories and...keep it forever using a certain 'something'. :D
