Trade in 2 games, preorder any game for 29.99!! (July 19th - ??)

Restrictions and rules below:

- As has been said, it starts on July 19th. I cannot remember offhand the date that it ends.

- Trade any 2 games, get any preorder for $29.99. I forgot to check if XBox 360 games are included in the deal, but as most people have already stated, I highly doubt it.

- The two games that are traded in for the deal must retail for at least $7.99 each (preowned price).

- The credit can still be applied towards the $29.99.

Preorder Lists (Dates are subject to change and when those changes happen up date us in the thread and I will try my best to update here in OP so people won't have to read through the thread to find them)- Credit to io for supplying these lists.

http://www.gamerush.com/rules_gamepass.php click this link to find out about gamepass at Gamerush.

You must have a credit card/check card to signup. Checkcard must be visa, mc, amex, dc, or diners club. Hot damn... I can't wait to go to GR and get Mario Sunshine 25% off. Making it $18.75. GR's just stickin it to the man. No need to sell used games for under MSRP.

Hopefully they'll have something a bit more attractive next time I go with this offer.

You might want to have them scan that game - it seems unlikely they'd sell SMS for more than $16.99 used :D. At my GR it is not unusual to see 3 copies of the same game all with different price tags - they tend not to update them when price drops happen.

There's a certain game I want for $39.99 (before discount) at my GR. I hope it is still there when I get home. $29.99 in GR credit is not a bad price (the game is still $50 new everywhere and semi hard to find - and no, I ain't saying what it is till after I get it because it needs to last till Saturday!).

I'm anxious to see if the B2G1F at EB this weekend is online, and stackable with any codes. Then I will trot on down to GR and see where I want to spend my money.

But first I hope the rumor of at least random restocks of BB clearance items is true so I can still luck out and find something to trade in and make my GR trip worthwhile with a preorder.

And yeah, Mario Sunshine is probably cheaper, but it's more fun to bitch about a Player's Choice game selling for $24.99 used.
What time was she working? I would love to get like 3 games pre-ordered up there, instead of paying the 59.99, or waiting until they have a trade-in deal.
She was working around 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday.. Hope that helps! :D

Something I noticed today. I was at 2 Gamerush stores this morning and each of them had a stack of GTA guides (the one that was just banned) in the outgoing/garbage pile by the front door... sort of funny.
I don't know what the deal is, but there aren't any GRs in Dayton either...Cincinnati has them.

the closest one is 30 miles away, and I don't really feel like driving that far.

I wish we could get some inside info on when dayton is converting their BB(s) to GR(s)...A lot of stores certainly seem big enough.
I talked to the manager at the Middletown store and she said something about Dayton being in a different district than Cincy and that they would not be getting any Gamerushes in the near future, which makes me a sad panda.

I am hoping GameRush has a sale for XBOX 360 games. If they don't, it isn't too bad, but it would be nice. I will probably hold onto my copy of Burnout Revenge until Far Cry Instincts and Ninja Gaiden Black are out. I am going to keep Ninja Gaiden Black to play on XBOX 360 since the first NG was a little too frustrating for me, and I am a ninja dog

Yeah, I hope they have a 360 deal on games soon too. I think I'll probably keep only 2-3 games for my XBOX, I'll trade most in....I already traded most.
Did GR have any type of sale when they released the PSP or DS?
People were able to get games for $30 with trade in. I doubt GR will do a deal at/before launch just because the 360 is hot, and they don't need a deal. Maybe in 2006 they will have $40 XBOX 360 games/preorders.

Man, I picked up my copy of Burnout: Revenge yesterday. This game is AMAZINGGG!!! I'm already a Rank 6 Dangerous in Single Player. I've been playing this bad boy non-stop! I love it! I love you GR! Yay!

I meant an actual sale like 10% off an accessory with purchase of the 360 system or 360 game, and not necessarily a trade-in deal. For example I know Halo 2 and Doom 3 had sales on specific products when those games were released, and I was just wondering if they had any type of sale like that when they released either of the recent portable systems.

They didn't have any bundles or sales for the PSP when it came out, that I know for sure. I don't think they had a DS sale at launch, but I don't know for sure since I didn't buy it at launch.

i decied to check out gamerush today and to my surprise they had burnout revenge. So i picked up my preorder as well as metal slug 3 for $20 after the 25% discount.

Does anybody know if GR got Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks in today? It has supposedly been released early. And NO, I don't want to call them.

I just went today and it isn't in yet. Does anyone know how far in advance you have to make a pre-order on an upcoming release? I want to pre-order battalion wars, but it's going to be released in a few days.

I preordered Incredible Hulk the night before it came out.

i know the when they first brought the preorder deal it was at least 7 days in advance, but now its up to the person ringing you up. on a similar note, when are they going to bring back current releases for 29.99 with the preorder-trade-in-deal

GR called me today to let me know that my Burnout Revenge game is waiting for me. This is only the 2nd time in 12 months that they've called me. I wish they'd improve that area of customer service and also get the games consistently on Tuesdays instead of whatever day of the week.

If anyone is looking for another game to preorder and didn't see the preview I linked to a while back, here's the full IGN review of Battalion Wars for GC. Looks pretty good - glad I dropped a preorder on it :D. Looks like it comes out Tuesday so put in those GR preorders this weekend if you want one.

http://cube.ign.com/articles/650/650932p1.html

They rate it an 8.8/10. Pretty much only marked down as little as it is because of the lack of multiplayer and only 20 missions (though that is still 10 more than Starfox Assault :D).

Bah... I've been wanting to, can't find anything worthwhile to trade in.

I managed to score a decent deal with the 25% off used games because the cashier gave me an extra 25% on my trades as well :D

Traded in only two games:
Ghost In The Shell: SAC $16.25
Demon Stone XBX $12.50

I then proceeded to obtain a used & complete copy of Growlancer Generations for $30 after the 25% off that (which came out of left field for me...I was looking to prebook Castlevania: Curse Of Darkness instead with my two games)

This Gamerush did have a few 'rare' games in stock as well....Gallop Racer 2004, Shining Tears (though not complete), Stella Deus and a copy of Suidoken IV (which is 25% off of $17.99...I am debating because most people say it is crap) I would grab that Shining Tears in a heartbeat if I knew that I could obtain the cover and instructions from somewhere....
Battalion Wars also got a 5.5 from Game Informer though.
Ouch... maybe I'll rent this one.. :/
Does anyone know if GR takes Action Replay on trades? I have no need for mine anymore.
I bought my xbox action replay used from gamerush this summer. So signs point to yes.

Traded in several games today

Xbox Full Spectrum Warrior- $7
Xbox KNight Appretience- $8
Xbox Outlaw Tennis- $10
Xbox Gungriffin Allied Assault- $18 (paid $5 for it on ebgames.com)
PS2- Nanobreaker-$7
PS2- Xenosaga 2- $12.50 (kinda low if you ask me)

Has anyone picked up the new MK game? I was at Best buy tonite and I saw that they had it for sale already.....
Has anyone picked up the new MK game? I was at Best buy tonite and I saw that they had it for sale already.....
I called mine today and they told me that its not coming in until next week. I was highly annoyed, maybe they will get on Monday.

Picked these up @ GameRush this morning - I have the movie pass so I check the 'new' used games almost every morning. Price after 25% discount:

PS1 Final Fantasy IX (non GH / MINT) - 5.25
PS1 Legend Of Dragon (GH / MINT) - 5.25
PS1 Rayman Brain Games - (...with Rayman!) - 3.75
PS2 REZ - 18.75

Anyone know what Gozilla:Save The Earth gets? Not my cup of tea after playing through the game....

Also, any employees have any insider information on any possible trade deals in the future...I'm debating whether to hold onto a few games for 360 trades or not.

I need some advice. Where would be the best place to trade in older systems like a NES, SNES, and atari.

Also does anyone know how much gamerush gives you for an gamecube?

GR gives you $25 credit for GC, keep it! Also, they give you next to nothing ANYWHERE for the NES, SNES, and Atari. Keep the SNES though, it's still a GREAT system. You should sell those things on eBay or on here, to get ANY money out of them...

Sell all of that on eBay. No one will take it in as trade, and if they do they will give you .10. Gamerush gives like $30 for a Gamecube the last time I checked.

Movie pass? That gets you a 25% discount? Is that at every gamerush/blockbuster, or what? I have blockbuster's movie card, and im registerd for game rush, or is it something else?

The 25% discount is the sale GR is currenly having on all used games. I think he was just saying that since he goes to blockbuster frequently to get movies with his movie pass, that he also checks on the used games while he is there.

Ooohh, that make sense, thats off of all the marked prices on games right? Do you just have to be registered? I was there the other day, but I didn't see anything about 25% off. Do you just have to mention it, and they do it?

Another thing, the trade 2 and preorder one for $30, that works with games that they would only give you $1 for, but they sell for $8 right? As long as you can find a place to buy it for taht cheap, eh?

You don't have to mention it, it just automatically takes it off, because it's in the computer system. And yes, if a game sells there preowned for $8 then you can use it for the trade in deal.

Whoa! I just noticed I'm a Cheap Ass Veteran! Yay!

If you are talking about the 25% off used games, you MOST definitely do have to mention it! I bought two games today and no discount until I reminded the clerk and he scanned the bar code (twice) to give me the discount. It is NOT automatic! By the way, the barcode says the 25% off deal is active until mid-Jan.

Oops, my bad. Whenever I bought used games from them during this sale, it was automatic. Sorry!
Oops, my bad. Whenever I bought used games from them during this sale, it was automatic. Sorry!
No prob - of course, it should be automatic (esp. as I had the knowledgeable GR guy ring me up - he must have just spaced for a bit).

I was a bit pissed when I got home because what I thought was a mint-looking, complete, GBA Metroid Zero Mission ($9.74 after discount) reeked of cigarette smoke and has something loose and rattling in the cartridge.

I did get a mint Stella Deus for $29.99 after discount (this is the game I didn't want to mention before!). Nothing else of interest there...

^^ Heh, nice score on Stella Deus! Is it rare, or is it just a good game? Also, I HATE it when stuff smells like smoke....UGH!
^^ Heh, nice score on Stella Deus! Is it rare, or is it just a good game? Also, I HATE it when stuff smells like smoke....UGH!
I wouldn't say it is rare, but that is a good price (especially considering it is GR credit that I spent!). It's not going to go Greatest Hits or anything either. I could get it new at Fry's for $50 cash. Of course it is rare for GR, since it is an Atlus game and they don't carry them new. Supposedly it is a good game - I have never played strategy RPG's but I hear this one is good.

Edit - Well the Metroid Zero Mission seems to work, but it still has that loose thing rattling around inside. What could that be that doesn't keep it from working?

alright thanks, my uncle put me in charge of selling all his old stuff so I have to figure out what the best price I can get on this stuff is. I hope gamerush starts another trade in deal soon because he has tons of older ps2 games and stuff that I could trade in too.

Gamerush is dry lately. Anyone pick up any good dvds from the 3 preowned dvds for $25? I got Sliders Season 1&2 in a combo.
