GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. 3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds

$60.00 = 16 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items.This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

OK, PM box has been emptied :) Sorry about that. I'm pretty popular this week ^_^. Back to invoicing/shipping. I'll be spending all day tomorrow (8AM - 10PM or so) and will have a ton more green and yellow orders on GYROS tomorrow. Also, many new PF orders listed and a new UPS pickup on Thursday. ** GFC UPDATE **

Just wanted to let you know that we've been blazing through orders the last two days and we'll continue to do so tonight and tomorrow night as well. Also, in case you didn't notice we've further enhanced our GYROS page with tabs now (Current Orders, Shipped Orders and Limbo Orders) and today we added eBay/Amazon links on the right of each item in case you would like to shop around for a similar item (and support GFC in doing so).

We will continue processing PF orders. We have 25 that haven't been invoiced yet, and as usual we try to wait until we have the items physically received for PF orders, but if we know the approximate weight or if we've shipped the items before we'll try to invoice you ahead of time. Goomba, I'm happy to say once again that one of those unprocessed PF orders is most likely mine finally. Finally. And I'm pretty surprised it shipped today...same day it was ordered.

Hey JJ, it's Zaki here.. I've sent you multiple emails in the past week so far, and you still haven't responded to any of them!! I'm really anxious about the fightstick I orderd from you, and would like to know if you shipped it out yet. You told me you would ship it as soon as it arrives, what's going on here. Please Respond to me. And it's been a few days now, and you still havent put it up on the GYROS page.. I'm starting to get really worried.
 
Zaki, I emailed you back just now. We see that your payment (eCheck) cleared and we're doing our next UPS pickup tomorrow and fully expect your stick should be in. blackric, you have $39.70 for Service Charge Credits which can be applied to your GFC Service Charge portion of your invoices but not the shipping / insurance / credit processing fees portions. I'll apply it to your bill and will revise it for you accordingly. Thanks again.
 
I'm leaving my workplace (University job) to go home. I'll be processing some more orders tonight and going through my new packages I picked up at the UPS store today (about 20 or so). Also, in case you didn't notice I've been filling in the gaps on the GYROS and making it all-around more complete. eBay and Amazon links have been added for most items and from now on all items will have these links as well as photos/image links for the individual orders. GYROS is updated in real time but usually during the day time. So at night we spend time packing and such which is a priority. In the morning when we have more time to kill then we'll update the statuses. So realistically GYROS is like 12 hours behind at most, but we'll update it soon enough :) Thanks again Zaki.

I just ordered from them a couple weeks ago actually. Finding a place that will sell blank American Apparel for less than $20 a shirt (and that's for their MOST BASIC tee) is difficult, especially because it violates their policy against third-party retailers selling their blank shirts for less than their own retail website does (unless it's being sold wholesale to a business intending to print), despite the fact that even the tiniest printing companies can pick them up wholesale directly from AA for a few dollars, not to mention that if a design is printed, they allow people to sell them for whatever the heck they please (it's just the blank ones that for some reason they almost don't want people to wear). It's a really crappy policy in my opinion - I love the quality and especially the color choices of their shirts, but I really don't need any more graphic tees... plus, it borders on impossible finding a lot of their colors that I like with a design I'd even consider wearing (eg. cranberry, eggplant, seafoam, etc).

After a lot of searching and contacting different companies, even pretending to be a printer or whatever, that was the ONLY company who accepted my story without all sorts of concrete proof :lol: Since they were all different designs and colors, I just said they were samples for a client, though they had little reason to doubt me when I ended up going nuts and buying exactly two dozen (24) shirts. Almost enough to wear a different one every day of the month haha (although my family will be getting a few.)

Anyways, I paid pretty much the same for shipping. Just a bit under $45. But that wasn't too bad compared to the taxes and brokerage fees UPS charged AFTER the fact, at my door - roughly $85, when, since they're just blank t-shirts and really ARE only valued at a few dollars each wholesale, it's conceivable that I could have paid NO taxes (at most, maybe $5) had I used Goomba. And since he mails with USPS, there are no brokerage charges.

So keep that in mind. You might do the math and figure that, with shipping to Goomba, plus his shipping to you, PLUS his fees, it's not worth the extra wait and trouble of doing it in such an indirect manner when the company DOES ship to Canada, but if you've got a bit of patience, hopefully you can learn from my mistake. Which, even after all that, was still considerably cheaper than buying directly from American Apparel :lol:

I apologize for rushing you, but my paypal has a negative balance and so woot.com's pre-auth paypal system won't accept my payment for some reason.

So I placed a DR order instead of a PF order, and as you are well aware, everything woot sells is very time sensitive, and it will only be available until 1am ASSUMING it doesn't sell out (and I've seen $800 knife sets sell out on the site, it's just impossible to really guess whether or not it will.)

So hopefully you can place the order for me ASAP. I hate to put you in a rush situation once again, I feel a bit narcissistic every time I do that, but as you probably know, like 95% of my orders are package-forwards, and I would have just gone ahead and done it that way again, if I had a choice.

But yeah, if you can help me out in this tiny little jam, I would really appreciate it if you could process the direct request order #1242496615. And not to worry - I know I said my Paypal has a negative balance (which it's oddly only letting me cover with an e-check, which takes a week to process), but I've already sent you the money using my credit card. You may notice that I put the price down as $2 less than it really is - this was simply to offset the service charge, as I should have ample credit. Maybe one day when the system is perfected, it will be able to take credit into account automatically :)

Just giving you guys a heads up, I had to work overtime today so I wasn't home much. Tomorrow I'm staying home all day with the wife and I'll be processing the heck out of all the new packages we just picked up at the UPS store. If you haven't noticed, we've been really keeping up a lot better with the GYROS page and we'll do a full update list tomorrow for newly paid items, newly received items and items shipping out Monday as well. Zaki, yes your item will be shipping out Monday. The way I usually do it is in batches. So when you see "Shipping Soon" that pretty much means the next available shipping day. Saturdays are limited hours (post offices close at 12:00 Noon) and I don't get out of work at the casino until then, plus they're closed all day Sunday so typically I use the weekend to pack as many items as I can to ship out when they re-open on Monday. But yes, your item will ship out Monday morning (you'll receive an Email when it does). Thanks!

Just stepping in guys to say that things are moving along well with GYROS. I'm working tomorrow at the casino but then I'll be doing night-time packing for DR's and PF's Wed-Fri this week. lol relax... he's not going to steal your stuff or anything, and there's nearly 10,000 posts here that can attest to that. Even if it was delayed a day or so, the guy has a life and you just have to accept that when (not if) it happens. I don't know if you're going to be a repeat customer or not (not really my business), but hopefully people can understand this and not be TOO pushy or demanding with their expectations. On a typical order, JJ makes $2... he charges so little that it's almost seems like more of a sustainable hobby than a business for him, and people seem to forget that a lot. Heck, I'm no doubt guilty myself, though if he says something will be done on a certain day, I still give him at least a few days' grace.

Normally when you talk about a business, it's usually more than okay to be assertive, bordering on pushy. But we need to always keep in mind this is a one-man show, and the guy has a real life, a real family, and a real job that are always going to be a priority. That may be unacceptable for a traditional business, which normally need to have contingencies if an employee/employer have real-life issues that get in the way, but that's just not possible with one guy who barely charges enough to make it worth his while (and honestly, if I were in his shoes I don't know if I'd even consider it worth my while.)

If you want the reliability and timeliness of a genuine business, he'd need to operate like a strictly-run business, with the much higher costs that come along with it. In fact, there ARE many bona fide companies in the US that do mail forwarding, but the reason that so many people here prefer to use JJ is that he's the only one with prices that make the services at all worthwhile. Check out some of these companies, and you'll realize it's almost always impossible to save money with them. And you might wonder how they can be in business at all if this is the case, but they cater to customer who require such a service for other reasons.

Anyways, just some food for thought for customers (current and future) who have difficulty accepting even the slightest delays. It happens, and admittedly not so infrequently, but he has tons of repeat business from satisfied people for a reason. You just have to be realistic with your expectations.

emjaymj, thanks for sticking up for me buddy :) Zaki's cool. He's just paranoid as he hasn't ordered with me before and I didn't get to update GYROS ^_^. I really do appreciate the backing up though. I've come a long way in my two years of GFC'ing and finally, yes finally, we have a system that's efficient, transparent and just plain works. Today we're processing nearly 30 orders and we're plowing through all the new orders. We actually have orders being processed same day and shipping out the day after we receive them. At last our hard work is paying off, and we're doing our best to keep it running smoothly :). Thanks again!

No one asked you, Mind your own business... and JJ I have ordered from you before, I ordered a regular SE fightstick from you in the summer.. and I'm sorry If I rushed you or anything. JJ Parks has done a great deed for me, and I am very thankful for it.. but I did pay money for it, and theres no reason why, I shouldn't be constantly aware, 24/7 of whats going on with my package. Thats something you need to accept if your are going to run your own business, and I'm pretty sure Im not the first one to have asekd JJ so many questions. Thanks alot though, JJ.. and sorry if i was a bit annoying :p

Zaki2246, no hard feelings ^_^ emjaymj is a bit defensive but he didn't mean anything personally. We're all one happy GFC family =) As always, you guys don't need to Email me about your order updates as I will update the GYROS page daily each night as things change, often in real time. So while your item may not reflect the correct status 24/7 it will be updated when I wake up/get home from work/go to bed, so there's at least 3 times a day. Also, the only time you need to really contact me via Email or PM is if you know for a fact your item is in and it's been more than 24 hours that it hasn't shown up on GYROS. In that case, feel free to give me a ring :) Thanks again!
 
Okay JJ, I understand.. Just one more question, whats the difference between PF orders and DR orders, I mean like I know PF stands for Package Forwarding and DR stands for Direct Request, but I mean like, Isn't it basically the same thing? Where you just order something off the internet and send it to them? Im very curious to know
 
PF is where customers order themselves and ship to us and DR is where we actually do the ordering. It's a small change but it makes the order process entirely different for my end of it :) Not all customers can order items themselves as you know and some prefer to, so we offer both. They both have their advantages for different reasons ^_^ Thanks again.
