GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items. This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

Are any of you interested in this item then? I'm going to get one for myself and since we're waiting on Ar Tonelico it gives me something to look forward to. This game is ULTRA LIMITED and includes: the Game, Case, Manual, Art Book and Soundtrack all factory sealed...couldn't be better ^_^

The item is: Atelier Iris 3: Atelier Iris 3: Grand Phantasm Rampaging Raiders Collection

http://www.rosenqueen.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=79

It would be about $75 shipped to Canada if you're interested. Let me know so I can put in an order for you ^_^ Thanks!

=JJ=

Goomba, I heard that Orange Box for PS3 is only $15 buck at Target down there? Is that the case? It shows up as $50 online. I'll take one if that's the case.
~S

Oh crap is that true? I heard something like that about Ninja Gaiden: Sigma for PS3 also, but found it wasn't true (at least for my local store). I could get you a copy much cheaper than MSRP but not sure that low. I'll have to check out Target again when I go out next. Thanks for the update :)

Also, sorry but any of you guys requesting the MGS4: LE PS3 ... it's just too darn difficult to get. I'm not going to be able to order any anyhow since I already put in an order for one yesterday (not even sure if they'll honor the purchase or not). I appreciate the requests but for this item, I'm afraid I can't get it. Just a heads up.

Yeah, did some more research, and it sounds like it really depends on which Target you walk into, different ones have different games in the bin. I would also be interested in Sigma at that price! But TOB, takes precedence.
~S

Yeah, Targets are really weird like that. I'm beginning to think there are a lot of CAGs in my area, because every time there is a sale like that I go there and all I can find are crappy sport games for $9.99 and such. The only time I ever lucked out was when the Wii first launched (as in day one) when they had a buy 2 get one free for Wii games...and that was it. Since then, I can hardly ever find the games I want on sale there. Bummer too cuz those are some crazy-good deals. I will continue to look for you though ;)

Anybody interested at all in Wii Fit? I got mine today and I'm loving it so far. Despite all the hate that people have towards it being a "non-game" it's actually a lot of fun. I'm glad to know my BMI is "normal" (not fat!) even though it said my Wii Fit age was 40 (I'm only 25...26 next month) and that I need to work on my "strength training".

Good to know!

I have a couple in stock, just curious. They're going for crazy prices on eBay but I could sell you one at actual cost + shipping if you were interested. Let me know :) Thanks! I'm not sure what they go for in Canada...but it may be cheaper after taxes. Then again it weighs 11 pounds and costs like $33 to mail to Canada, so it may not really save you anything. But if you're looking for a system and they're sold out (like they are in the US) I can try to get you one ASAP. Thanks guys.

Sincerely,
JJ Parks ^_^

I got my FMA DVDs today! Thanks goomba! Sadly, it was a long wait and I was right about why... customs got a hold of it. Had to pay $10. Still saved oodles I guess =)

Sorry about customs. It seems they definitely like to check heavier items (go figure). I just hope some of my larger items don't get inspected. I'll feel bad if people have to pay hefty fines at customs for them. Still, like you said those are some great box sets so I'm glad you got them safely. Could you go ahead and put in good feedback for me on CAG? I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Not bad at all Magiic! Though I noticed that for the first time in a long time, the Canadian dollar is once again worth more than the US dollar. *cries in a corner*. I'm happy for you guys though :)

By the way, in case you guys ever want to contact me and my CAG PM Box is full, you can message me on MSN. My chat/email name there is:

[email protected]

I try to keep it open at all times. Just message me to say hi, put in an order request, whatever =) I love getting messages *hint hint*

Oh and just so you know guys, I only have one of the Weighted Companion Cube Plushies left. I have one full sized 6" x 6" x 6" one, and one of the smaller fuzzy dice Windows version (comes with two smaller WCC's). They're both factory sealed in plastic direct ordered from Valve Software's Merchandise store. Let me know if you're interested :) I may order more in the future. The first batch sold very well indeed.

Haha thanks Doctorofstyle :) Enjoy your iPhone! I'm happy it got there safely and soundly (did you have to pay some outrageous customs on it? or did you luck out? I'd love to know!)

Thanks guys, you're really doing a lot for my ego lately ^_^ Oh and look, this thread already has more than 10,000 views...that has to be a record of sorts for me. Usually my threads have like 100 views at most :) Woo hoo. Go us!

Back to listing my games...I'm working on an updated Game/Trading List using GameTZ's system. It's actually pretty good and I like that it separates the games you are willing to trade vs. those you have in your collection as well as those you want to request. Best of all, when you trade away a game using their system, it removes it automatically from your trade list. Pretty nice =) Too many games to list and not enough time ^_^ Once I am done, I'll be able to put more games up on my GamesForCanada.com site =)

Yeah, but the fact is unlocking it is so easy (can be done in a matter of minutes). Canada is supposed to get them later in the year with Rogers, so that will work out. If you want my last one though let me know Magiic, I only have one left :) Thanks!

I'll pass for now. I'm going to wait till it's officially out in Canada as Rogers has stated they will be lowering the cost on data plans upon the launch of the iPhone

How much are you selling the iphones for? I really wanted to get one from that "refurb" AT&T sale but missed out.

no duty on iPhone for moi...

sooooo good

and magiic you might want to consider getting it from goomba, even after it's released here as rumour has it rogers is going to charge an arm and a leg for the phone itself. then just upgrade your contract.

I'd definately buy it from Goomba but Im going to wait until it comes out here and my current contract expires. I really wish telus would get there shit together and move to a GSM network. I hate Rogers Wireless, their customer service sucks

I like Rogers! Just phone and say you're gonna cancel then get retentions to solve all your needs because if they don't you'll "go with Telus who's offerring [make up crap here]" ^_^

It took Rogers six months to change my girlfriends favourite five. She got five $300+ bills in a row as a result and had to call every month to get it fixed. In addition to this she had her phone shut off because she never paid her bill. She couldn't pay the bill because she never got it. She ended up getting march and april's bill on the same day. Unfortunately she is in a two year contract :(

I'm on Fido, I dunno about you guys but every time I had a problem with my bill or whatever I had it fixed in a jiffy. Also the service isn't so bad, I do lose some bars when I'm slightly underground (even at a downhill or under a tree, I'm serious) but all in all ok.

Weird >_>;; You can change it yourself online. Was it bugged out? At least they fix it I guess.

I'm with Roger's as well, and the My 5 system on their website has been down for about a year. I got it to work once...I ended up having to call customer support (a tricky task) and have them enter everything manually.

I agree they it's great they did fix everything. I just think it having to be fixed like five or six times is completely unacceptable. Another issue even popped with this bill. Her current bill shows no payment from last month despite her having paid it so they now want payment for this month and last months bill plus whatever convenience for or something for it being late (which wasn't)

Bit of a gong show all around

Cell phone companies aren't much better in the US. Sure, we have a lot of cheap data plans now, but dealing with their customer service is a nightmare. It doesn't help that phones like the iPhone you have to activate yourself (and their system is rather wonky at times). Sorry to hear about billing issues and such :) I think I'll just list my 8GB iPhone on eBay. I'm sure someone will buy it ^_^ Thanks guys! Off to bed I go. It's almost 4AM and I just got home from work...yikes.

I am pretty sure I will buy an iPhone as soon as they roll out better support in Canada. Hopefully you will still stock them :)

I'm selling it for actual price + shipping + $5 service charge. So altogether it comes to $456 shipped. Here's a breakdown of the iPhone prices:

+ $399.99 – Actual cost of the 8GB iPhone
+ $23.94 – Sales Tax (6%) for the iPhone
+ $27.00 – Shipping to Canada with Insurance (we definitely need insurance if we're mailing a $400+ iPhone!)
+ $5.00 – Service Fee for going out to buy iPhone and mailing it out ^_^
--------------------
$456.00 USD = Grand Total

Let me know if any of you are interested. If not, I'll be listing it on eBay on Thursday as I only have one left and need to recoup the money spent on the item. These are increasingly harder to find in stores and even Apple.com is no longer selling them at the moment. AT&T stores will only sell them now with 2 year contract as well. Thanks!

Also, Amazon.com has Okami Wii today for $29.99 ($34.99 shipped using my services). Let me know if anyone is interested. I can order a few copies if you like ^_^ thanks!

Amazon has free shipping @ $39, so that's not even a factor. Amazon will charge GST, where Goomba will try to get it past customs. Of course if customs catches it you'll pay tax+$5cod. Both deals are about equal, go with what you want.

I'd bite at Goomba, except I'm sure Okami will be

There were cheaper prices for the PS2 Okami but the fact is it bounced back too and now the PS2 one is actually worth more than the Wii version (which is truly odd). I'm not forcing anyone to take me on my offer anyway :) I saw the Amazon deal as well, but that may or may not be a timed thing so I'm not sure. In any case I listed the amazon.ca one my site as I always try to give you guys the choice where you buy from :)

I'm actually working on it auto-linking / comparing the major gaming stores on my site, but I haven't quite completed the steps to program that into my templates.

Thanks for all your support though :) Lots of great gaming deals this week in the stores. Be sure to look on the US sites now that you have an insider ^_^

Oh and this week has been exceptionally fun. So far I've ordered: Video Games, Breakfast Cereal, Energy Drinks, Art/Graphic Novels, Books, Computer Parts, Cell Phones and more. I had no idea my services would be used for such a diverse spectrum of products :) Keep an open mind and remember that orders from me don't have to be game related ^_^

Haha yup :) we have all sorts of sugary sweet cereals that aren't available anywhere else ^_^ It's funny because I actually used to wish that some countries would offer their foods online (most don't). With Japan it's nice since a lot of retailers sell their snacks and such, but not too many US sellers do the same for some reason. We have lots of good things after all =P

Thanks Goomba, my kits arrived today safe and sound!
Sorry, but you must wait until 05-27-2008 at 01:19 AM before you can rate this person again.
Booo!

What retailers sell food from Japan? I've been there, and I really liked some of their snacks!

And I'll begin to look into purchasing stuff from you, goomba. I'm not sure why I've been ignoring this thread, but no more :]

Haha I didn't realize there were time restrictions like that. I went ahead and left you good feedback. So happy that you got your kits safe and sound :) Hope you enjoy them! They seem really nice to me ^_^ Can't beat the prices either. Thanks so much.

Griptor, I buy a lot of Asian snacks from local Chinese grocery marts, but online you can find a lot of Japanese snacks with retailers like: Yes-Asia.com, jbox.com, Amazon (they have some from time to time) and others. All-in-all there's a million retailers but some overcharge a lot. In any case, if you guys find ANYTHING (again, it doesn't have to be games) that you can buy in the US easier than in Canada, just let me know :) You'd be surprised some of the stuff people request hehe.

Are you in Pork Rind country Goomba? When I order, I would like to have the item packing in pork rinds, they are hard to find up here, in NS. Which I find surprising, because since moving to NS, I find people here eat more deep fried stuff than any other place I've been.
~S

We do sell pork rinds around here yes. I haven't bought them in ages, but I do know they used to have them in all the supermarkets. I'll check that out for you (I'm running to the supermarket now actually).

Oh good news guys. We officially have an RSS Feed to go along with a new GamesForCanada blog. I'll be listing a lot of good deals I find on there, as well as coupons and special offers for people who subscribe to the RSS feeds =) So I recommend you sign up. You can use Google Reader and other RSS feed subscription programs. Here is the feed:

http://feeds.feedburner.com/GamesForCanada

Keep in mind the site is really ugly at the moment and doesn't have any real content yet (working on it). A Goomba can only do one thing at a time ;) Thanks!

The blog if you're curious is at : http://gamesforcanada.blogspot.com - Bookmark it ^_^

snowsquirrel, I'll look into the Centro for you. They're only $99 with a 2 year contract but the Palm website says they're $279 + tax (new) without a contract. I'll try to look into eBay prices for you. What would you want to get one for (including shipping to Canada)? Let me know.

Dan, I gotta look into that... it's really odd that it'd be giving a message like that. Maybe I didn't finish setting it up correctly :) Thanks!

Wow I have no idea what I did to violate their TOS. All I did was describe my service and show an item for Buy.com that was on sale. Yikes, looks like that blogger idea won't work after all :( bummer. I'll have to look into another venue for RSS feeds I guess.
