GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items. This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

Hey Goomba, I think I overpopulated your inbox while testing out the Direct Request form. Just ignore them for now, I'll try to get back to you later :D

Sorry about that.

Hey Goomba, have you been preparing for the USPS price increase for when shipping to Canada? Some prices are doubling.

Also, can ya send me an update? Also did my premium run out already?

Oh no, that sucks. I hadn't heard that they were going up that much. I'll have to change the site calculations accordingly. I'll definitely look into that though! Yes, your premium membership is expired now. I'll have an update for you soon though as I think all of the items are in and will be shipping out by Wednesday (minus the ones previously mentioned as missing). Talk to you soon!

That's great to hear about the shipped items.

As for Premium Membership, I dug through my inbox and it says in my email that I have premium from 12/23/2012 - 01/23/2012.

** SHIPPING PRICE INCREASE & TSD IN FEBRUARY **

Just wanted to remind you all that apparently the USPS will be increasing shipping prices on all package types in a little under 2 weeks from now (01/27/2013). We will adjust our website to reflect these changes, so you may want to put in any DR's you're thinking about now (for the chance they'll get here and ship before the increase). We don't know the exact prices yet but we'll update them on the site as soon as we do.

Starting in February, GFC will go into partial Total Shut Down (TSD) mode for all non-premium members. What this means is that you will not be able to place Direct Request orders if you're a free member until the month is over. We will be focusing on doing some major coding updates on the site (greatly needed) and a large amount of orders will hinder progress, so we're going to limit orders only to premium members for the time being. That being said, all premium members will see the site unchanged and can place DR/PF orders whenever they like. Free members will be able to sign up for GFC Premium during TSD to regain ordering abilities.

We'll talk more about additions and upgrades to the site during the month of February as we code them in. Thanks again and looking forward to improving the site =). Cya all soon!

Hey goomba I made a Direct Request and I was hoping I would get a response to confirm my request is reasonable as I have never done anything of this kind of activity. A private message to the same username/email would be appreciated.

** Ni No Kuni: Wizard Edition (GFC Update) **

482989_334371230008802_877282859_n.jpg

OK, So I have good news and bad news. The good news first: Those of you who placed Ni No Kuni Wizard Edition orders that wanted to cancel....well you're in luck. The bad news is of course that Namco/Bandai, or more specifically their distributors: Digital River, really screwed up the orders. Even though we placed as early as August 1st (5 months ago) many orders were cancelled by Namco on launch day. I was on the phone for almost two hours with them trying to re-instate my orders but as I placed multiple copies in orders they told me I could only get one per order. What this means is that I'm likely only getting two copies, possibly 3 where we had 6 ordered in total. That sucks...big time.

For those of you who ordered and want to receive the game, I'll be doing a first-ordered first-shipped method, meaning if I get three copies then I'll send to the first three ordered and the rest will get refunds. If I only get two, then only the first two get the games and the rest get refunds. I'll keep you posted as the first ones are supposed to have shipped already, so any day now I should hear from them. I still am waiting to hear from them as they told me afterwards they'd fill my full orders, but now there are eBay sellers selling 200+ copies of the game, meaning that obviously they screwed up somewhere.

It's very stressful and time consuming but I want to see that you all get your games (or at least as many as possible). I wish I had more control over their shipping, but alas I'm just a Goomba :(.

** USPS Shipping Rates Going Up (A LOT) Today... **

In case you didn't know, the USPS is increasing the prices on all of their International shipping as of Today. In some cases, the prices are a LOT higher (almost double!!!) but in others it's not so bad. Still, just note that the prices of the shipping will be higher from now on so you're better off bundling multiple items into single orders when you can. I'll be posting the new GFC shipping charges in the next day or so here. I'll leave the site open but it'll more than likely show the old prices until Tuesday (I have to code in a bunch of countries...), but the shipping buffer will take care of the majority of the increases.

We'll keep you posted!

** New Shipping Prices for Canada are Live **

For those of you who placed orders from 01/27-01/28 just realize that there's a good chance we'll have to use part or all of your shipping buffer and/or invoice you for any difference, due to the new USPS pricing. we've gone ahead now and updated the site to reflect the new prices. We'll be adding: Australia, Israel, and others tomorrow. Thanks again for everything ^_^.

Hi Sneakynoob, yeah I ordered it the same day that you put it through. I've just been programming the new USPS prices into the site and getting things together for our business tax season. I'll try to get GYROS up to date later =) But yes, all is welL ^_^. Thanks again!

Hi Goomba,

Everything arrived on Tuesday, however I was finally able to pick it up on Friday. I got slapped with a $25 import tax but I'm glad everything has arrived.

I lost track of how much I ordered from you. Are these 3 items below the only ones left?
-Top Gear Hyperbike
-Star Soldier Vanishing Earth
-Fighter's Destiny 2

** GFC Update Post Blizzard Nemo **

Just wanted to let you all know that while I survived the blizzard, it did set me back a couple of days. The roads should be cleared mostly tomorrow though and I believe our UPS store will be open as well so I'll be picking up the newest PF orders and processing remaining DR orders as well. Also, I'm manually updating 2500+ orders into an updated database which will streamline 5 years of orders into a single system. This will keep our records uniform and will ease tax and record keeping in the future, so we have a lot on our plates.

Also, I'm happy to say that 2012 was our FIRST year that we came out profitable :) Took a while, but we did it ^_^ Thanks for all of your support, we literally couldn't have done it without you! Here's hoping that 2013 meets and exceeds our past efforts ^_^.

Just wanted to say that things are moving steadily on track. I plan to do my next UPS pickup for PF orders on Tuesday, so I should have all PF and DR's in by then (excluding pre-orders of course). I'll keep GYROS up to date and will be shipping nearly all items this week. Keep an eye on our eBay too as we are listing a ton of games (newer and older ones). Thanks guys!

Friendly Reminder to all of you guys, GFC will be completely closed down 04/15/13 - 05/15/13. During this time (and possibly a little earlier) we will stop taking Direct Requests and Package Forwarding orders. Anyone who is an active GFC Premium member during this time will have their expiration extended one month to accommodate for the down time. We will be moving our office during this time and will be doing a lot of behind-the-scenes site updates as well.

In the meantime, we'll be listing a TON of used video games, electronics and other items on our eBay store (mostly 5-7 day auctions) so be sure to check that out. The more we can sell now, the less we'll have to physically move to our new offices next month. Thanks again and keep an eye out for lots of updates coming soon to GFC ^_^.

Order # 2028470615 , I would like to know the status please. The product page is gone and I have been charged for the payment.

kuro67, I refunded your order in Full on March 11th, because the store wouldn't allow me to check out (I guess they listed it as in stock when there were no more available). Sorry for the inconvenience but you should have received the funds back in full. Double check your account =) Thanks!

** GFC Down Time Starts Now **

As a lot of you who follow this forum know, we're going to be doing a lot of big things over the next two months, so we'll be temporarily shutting down our services. We're moving our office to another building across town (and we only have a week to move EVERYTHING we own pretty much) and in April we'll be out of the country for one month. So during this time please note the following:

Direct Requests Closing 03/18/2013 - Today will be the last day that we'll be accepting Direct Requests. The reason for this is that we are moving our mailing address soon and we don't want to miss any packages. In theory the Post Office will forward packages to our new place, but by the time this happens we'll likely be on our trip. So better to cut off orders ASAP.

Package Forwarding Closing 03/22/2013 - For GFC Premium Members, you can still place Package Forwarding orders until this upcoming Friday. This should give you enough time to put your order in, have it received at our pickup store and have us send it to you before we leave. Keep in mind that if your GFC Premium expires after the 22nd, we'll be extending the expiration date two months later to make up for our down time. Sorry for the inconvenience, but doing all of this will make the site improve incredibly and it's a necessary step.

All current orders will be processed continually until 04/15/2013. Any pre-ordered items that are not received by this time will be delayed until mid May when we get back. We have received the majority of existing items and should have the rest in very soon. Our next UPS pickup will be next week and we hope to have all current orders received. As usual, we'll be updating our GYROS page in semi-real time and we'll let you know of all the changes as they come.

During the time that I'll be out of the country, I'll have my computer with me and will be working on a lot of new coding. The site will remain largely the same but with more security features added and a more streamlined approach to the actual ordering process. It's a long time coming, but having some down time will definitely help.

GFC will fully return June 1st, 2013 (seems like a long time...but it'll go fast). In the meantime we'll be shipping out orders, packing up our belongings and listing on eBay many things to help downsize. See you guys soon!

Hey goomba, quick question for you. I have a Sirius satellite radio in my car and want to since up for a US subscription since there are features and service (like real time traffic updates) that aren't offered in Canada. However, to do so I need a US address and credit card. Does GFC offer any service like that? Obviously I would send you the full amount for the subscription up front.

I was looking at USunlocked.com but I don't like the idea of having to email them a copy of my passport as proof of ID. Plus I'd rather give my money to you.

Hi J-P, I'd be happy to do that for you. I used to have a Sirus XM account in the past and really liked it. Just let me know where to sign up and how long you want to subscribe for and we'll invoice you for it :) Thanks!

OK cool. It's still a couple of months away as I'm currently still in the free trial period. I just wanted to know if I needed to start searching for an alternate solution. You saved me a lot of hassle, thanks. :)

** GFC Online Store is Re-Opened Now! **

Hey guys, I'm back in the USA and setting up our new office as we speak. I'm going to go ahead and re-open the GFC Online Store now for any of you who purchase iTunes Cards and such. I'm also sending our first ever newsletter using the MailChimp system which is pretty cool (you should have received an Email if you subscribed to our newsletter on the store site).

We'll be re-opening Direct Request and Package Forwarding services in June, so keep an eye on the site and in here and we'll be back before you know it. Thanks again for all of your support and talk to you very soon!

Hey Goomba,

Long time no chat... I was wondering - do you still do eBay snipes? I couldn't find anything about it on the site and I was looking to snipe these 2 things (and if possible get them shipped to my new address in Blaine, WA).

http://www.ebay.com/itm/presonus-fi...uter_Recording_Interfaces&hash=item1e7b64964c

http://www.ebay.com/itm/PreSonus-Fi...uter_Recording_Interfaces&hash=item3f25bac047

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Presonus-Fi...uter_Recording_Interfaces&hash=item4ac34b72c7

Those are in order of the auction ending. I got no sniping software, and I'm trying to get them for around $200 max.

Hey RoganSarine, long time no see man =) Yes, we still do eBay snipes/orders/etc. If you want us to order them though you'll have to fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the website. As usual, if we're unable to get the items (if we get outbid) then we'll refund you in full. Make sure to make your payment at least 24+ hours in advance before the auctions end. Thanks man and glad to have ou back. Let me know if you have any trouble with the site. I'm doing some upgrades and with it being down for a month or two there may be a page I overlooked. Thanks! ^_^

Sure is ^_^! Keep in mind you need to be a GFC Premium Member to order PF orders. If you were a premium member before we shut down in March, then your account was extended :) Let me know if you run into any issues. Thanks! Glad to be back!

Tetsugen, Ducati only shipped the one bikini saying that they were unable to supply the other two. I still have the credit in your account if you'd like to purchase something else (doesn't have to be from Ducati), or we can refund you via Paypal. Let me know. Sorry for the inconvenience. They were on back order for so long, so that's always a possibility unfortunately with companies these days.

Goomba, few more questions before I proceed with an order for package forwarding

1) How much more expensive is Fedex compared to say USPS Priority? $10-20?

2) I suppose multiple quantities of the same items will also incur the $1 charge each?

3) Regarding your onhold policy, say if i ordered a package today and another package next week, if I ship them seperately with the first package first, will the 30days restart to the week i ordered the second package?

4) How long does it take for you to ship everything out once they've arrived. Did i read somewhere that it takes 10days?

Wow, really liking the new CAG look =) ... That being said, let me answer your questions Cruk:

1) FedEx is a lot more expensive (and more inconvenient) typically. Expect most shipments to cost about 50% more than USPS on average with the higher chance of brokerage charges. If you insist on not using USPS, I highly recommend UPS over FedEX.

2) Multiple items of the same variety will be charge $2.00 each item for non-premium members and $1.00 each for premium members. The only exceptions are multipaks and things of that nature. It'll be at our discretion though :)

3) We can hold items up to 30 days at no charge. After that we charge per item on a weekly basis. We may be able to make an exception for you if the time is close, but typically we do not refresh the time period for multiple items (we have limited storage space so we try to ship items out as soon as we can). Like I said though, we can work with you if it's not a long period you're talking about.

4) We say 10 days just to be safe but realistically DR orders are 1-2 days after we receive them (without holding item requests) and about 7 days for Package Forwarding. The reason PF orders take longer is that we have to drive almost an hour to our nearest UPS store, so we only go one or two times a week on average.

If you have any other questions let me know. Looking forward to doing business with you ^_^. Thanks!

** GFC Reward Store Update **

** GFC Reward Store Update **

Just wanted to let you know guys where I am with this and what my idea is with the new rewards program. For the longest time I've had ways to earn SCC's (Service Charge Credits) and while that's all fine and good, I've always wanted to have a rewards program for physical items. I didn't have a real way to implement this before because there was no way to store credits (Canuck Bucks) on the site...well that's going to change very soon (early July).

My idea is this: I have a TON of video games, posters, anime, DVDs, Blu-Rays etc. that I've been saving for personal use and for rewards over the years and now I'm going to offer them in the GFC Reward Store. I can add a lot of really cool items (some with little monetary value) and add them to the site to give away for points. If you have enough points you can get the rewards for free, or if you want you'll have the option to buy them for cash or any combination of points/cash. All rewards/prizes will have free shipping when shipped with an existing GFC Direct Request/Package Forwarding order. This means you can get all sorts of bonus goodies with your orders.

I'm building the core site for this as we speak and I already have a BETA version working that will load an item from my database, load the photos for it and add a link to purchase. At the moment the purchase link doesn't exist (that's the next step) but it's nice to know that we're one step closer to a working reward store =). Once I have all the code finished and working then I'll load a link on the site for you to check it out. After a little while we'll convert the entire GFC store to this new format and we'll finally have a unified GFC site for the first time in 5 years. More on this to come ^_^ I think you guys will like it!

-JJ

** GFC Updates **

Just to let you guys know, I'll be doing some behind-the-scenes Reward updates all week. If you go to GFC and it gives you an error message or is generally acting weird, now you'll know why. If you do run into any issues please let me know, because I'm doing a significant amount of coding to make this work and I don't want to break anything accidentally. Thanks again for all of your ongoing support =) This is the biggest update to the site since the addition of Package Forwarding ^_^.

Hi Goomba, I have a question about something. I'd like to order some manuals from an online store that are priced at $2.49 each. These manuals are being sold separately, they are not in lots. Are these manuals going to each count for the $2 service charge?

Also, the Direct Request page, is that supposed to be working? I just get the whole "GFC Will Be Down Until June 1st, 2013..." message.

Hi Capsuledragon, Yes they will have a $2.00 charge each if they're not a Lot and you're using the DR Service, but if you are forwarding them to me or if you're a GFC Premium Member so it'd be $1.00 each.

Direct Request service is back online now. I had to temporarily shut it down while uploading a big chunk of new code (didn't want new orders to be placed in that time). Sorry for the confusion ^_^. Thanks!

** Quick Update **

I'm about 70% done with the Rewards Store coding now. All I have to do is add in some security and verification steps and then I'll be ready to start loading the database with items to give away. The first week of July is when the BETA will officially launch, so more on this in the next few weeks. Thanks again!

RoganSarine, hmmm really? I just put in a test order of my own and was able to make it all of the way to the Paypal login screen. Did you get the error message after hitting the credit card pay button? Or afterward? Please let me know. Thanks!

I haven't been around lately, the prices went up right? I believe I still have $40 with you on account, anything I should know from the change?

Hi Myv, prices went up slightly a while back but not much. If you are a GFC Premium member, you can actually end up paying less per month if you order more than 5 items, so it all depends. The only thing that truly went up is the USPS prices. First Class packages cost quite a bit more, though Priority Mail didn't increase quite that much. All the new shipping prices are listed here in the first post of this endlessly long thread =). If you have any questions let me know. I will check on your credit for you in a few days as my MacBook Air with all my records is at the Apple Store for the next couple of days.

At the moment we're switching to a new system on the site where you'll be able to see all of your credits in real time as well as a brand new Rewards Store as well. That all launches in early July next month ^_^. Thanks again and glad to see you again.

Goomba, I just made an order for some N64 games on Amazon. I got an e-mail from your website saying my order went through, but I don't think any money was subtracted from my Paypal.

Also, i think this order went through with my old address. I swear I changed it. You have my new address from that e-mail.

Edit: nvm payment went through.

Ohhh, okay, yea I remember reading a month or two ago you mentioned USPS prices went up! Just checked it went up almost double that's crazy haha.

Capsuledragon, I went ahead and ordered those for you though you did make one mistake as far as I can see. Please include shipping cost to the USA along with the item, so if ordering on Amazon for example from a third party seller, add in the shipping to me and the item price on the form next time :) Thanks. I'll invoice you for the difference once I've received and repackaged them. Thanks!

Jotamide, you have to be a GFC Premium member to use the PF Services. You can sign up in our store :) Directions are online. It cost either $10 a month or $100 a year, but you get Package Forwarding and $1.00 service charges per item (instead of the usual $2.00). If you need additional info let me know. Thanks for your interest!
