GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items. This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

I got the Email too just now :( Here is the Email for those of you who don't subscribe to Atlus newsletters.

We screwed up, Amazon didn't, and unfortunately that means that no Amazon.com copies of Izuna 2 went out the door with the free-with-purchase mini-poster insert. We humbly apologize.
Mini-posters will soon be mailed to all affected Izuna 2 Amazon.com customers. We ask for your patience, and that you refrain from looking up how to construct molotov cocktails, advanced explosives, and other potentially anger-motivated instruments of revenge.

IZ2-NDS-AMIN1smallB.jpg

New orders will be fulfilled with the mini-poster included as advertised. Again, thank you for your patience, and to everyone who brought this to our attention so quickly!

I ordered a total of 5 copies from Amazon.com so hopefully they will send me five mini-posters. Man I hate it when big companies mess up things like this =P It's not like they didn't have enough time to prepare....doh!

Thanks for understanding guys. I'm glad you got the newsletter also so you don't just think I'm making excuses ^_^;;; We'll work it out.

I hope as an apology they toss in that second poster. I mean come on, they screwed their entire pre-order userbase, and they're sending a correct second run now, for buyers not pre-ordering... I'll be pretty disappointed if they don't do something to makeup for the error, I wasn't really planning on opening either of the copies I ordered ^_^;
How are you shipping at a reasonable rate while at the same time keeping the shipping costs low?

I have considered what you are doing myself, but Canada's waste of an agency we call customs loses...ahem..."loses" so many of my shipments or delays them weeks and months at a time so often that a $2 or $3 "profit margin" wouldn't come close to covering my risk.

UPS/FedEx have been way more expensive than USPS the few times I've checked into it (especially for small items), and to insure or track with USPS requires the item being registered (automatic +~$12)

I'm not trying to steal your idea here, but for my Ebay shipments moving forward, how are you shipping affordably without taking on too much risk? Currently I'm on the verge of stopping shipments to Canada altogether. 90% of the people I ship to in Canada experience SIGNIFICANT delays, "lost" packages, etc. and complain ad nauseum.
I believe Goomba is shipping First Class International (USPS). I think most of us have been fairly patient, with shipping times, knowing that FCI is slow, but cheap.

I find that a lot of US sellers that have had your experience, now refuse to send FCI, or USPS at all. Which means we are paying through the nose for UPS/FedEx/DHL, etc. I would rather just wait longer for my items, than pay expensive shipping. If I wanted it fast, I would buy local.

My advice to you would be to offer the cheap shipping, with disclaimer, that it is slower, gets caught in customs, and not insured. Buy must accept risks to get that shipping method. Other wise ship insured FedEx (who seem to have a fast track through customs).

[Another post, because another subject.]

Just curious what sort of times people are experiencing from Goomba. I am talking about the time it takes for goomba to ship it, to the time you get it.

This will be useful for people considering the service, as well as give me something to do while I wait pensively for my parcel :) (it was only shipped a couple days ago).

The one time I ordered something from him (actually many items at once though) it took about 2 days from his place to mine.
The one time I ordered something from him (actually many items at once though) it took about 2 days from his place to mine.
2 Days!!! Where are you? In his back yard?
~S

Yup, JeffX lives in my back yard haha. No but seriously here are some responses:

1) Yes I do use First Class International for most packages. It's relatively quick and definitely the cheapest International option. The only thing is that for items that are 4 pounds or more I HAVE to (as in I'm required to) ship Priority Mail which is more pricey. So if you order game systems, heavy arcade controllers, fighting sticks, etc. many of these are 4+ pounds and therefore more money to ship.

2) Snowsquirrel brought up to me that I didn't mention that for some items I charge additional processing/service charges. For cell phones and any items that are typically more than $200-$300 I charge generally a flat fee of $10 rather than my usual $2-$3. This isn't just to make a quick buck, but rather there are a lot of additional costs and processing times with larger items. If you order a phone from me for instance I take a lot more financial risk in the process, have to invest more of my money while waiting for payment (to which I generally get processing/credit card fees, etc.) and of course shipping them requires extra packaging generally. For most items though the $2 for the first item and $1 for additional items in the same shipment stands.

3) Shipping time on average is 5-7 days from the day I ship them out. In most cases I ship out items the same day or next day after they come in. If you are ordering from Amazon.com I get 2 day shipping from them so you will get your items the absolute fastest (or if you order from GamesForCanada.com as most of those items are already in stock at my office).

4) I always keep track of the Customs form numbers just in case something is ever lost in the mail, but so far I've been lucky and never had a problem. If you want insurance I'll be happy to get it for you but note that I can only get insurance on Priority Shipment which is more expensive than first class.

Thanks guys! If you have any more questions feel free to ask ^_-

First order I made took a little over a week (between one and two weeks).
Second was less than a week.
Third (which arrived today) took exactly a week, and everything came at the same time (despite split packages).
Goomba is pretty much the best ever.

When I say 7 days I mean days including non-business days. Average is 6 days I'd say. Some less some more. Totally depends on customs :) Cheers.

Hey Goomba, I was wondering if you'd be able to order some books for me from amazon.com? If you can, should I list them here, send you a PM, or use the form on your website? Thanks man.
amazon.com ships books to Canada. Or is the shipping really expensive?
Yeah, it's kind of expensive if you order several things at once (I would just order from amazon.ca but they don't have the things I need in stock, or are listed as taking 3 months to ship). I wanted to see if Goomba could get me a better deal.

Definitely I can order books from Amazon.com (and have done so already for some CAGs). Firestorm, they do ship to Canada but some books are not sold on Amazon.ca and sometimes the shipping costs ARE overpriced. In any case it's best to use the form on my website if you're a first time buyer nemesis_hub, so I can get all of your information in one step. Thanks! I look forward to putting in your orders ^_^

I ordered something from a paintball website once and they shipped USPS FCI, I ordered on Thursday, and it got here the following monday. I got the package and immediately changed my undies.

Return, I've already shipped one. It was around $23 to ship (6 pounds Priority Mail). Since it's more than 4 pounds I can't ship first class unfortunately.

Rocky071, Yes I can do laptops though I require that you pay for insurance for all items over $100-$200. Did you have a specific model in mind?

Dan, yes Rosenqueen still shows that your Disgaea 3 set will ship late August '08, so don't worry. They already charged my card and everything so we should be all set. Thanks!

Hey Goombas,

I know it's maybe a little late in the thread, but I was wondering if your service was only for games and electronics. I was maybe interested of getting other stuff that can't be shipped to Canada.

Thx

He'll do anything (within reason) as far as I know.
Its a great service.
Speaking of goomba, I'll be making another order soon. :D

dragon_quarter, thanks for the order. I put the max bid in for you as requested :) I'll let you know if you (we) win!

the_deporeted, yes absolutely azumangaman is right... I can order anything within reason :) Just keep in mind that really heavy items generally aren't worth ordering (more than 20 pounds for instance). Let me know what you had in mind!

Azumangaman, looking forward to you order. Thanks!

hey goomba, have you seen any cheap game guides in your travels to Circuit City/GameStop/Gamecrazy? Apparently CC has Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass for $0.01, and my girlfriend is currently stuck in that game! Also, maybe keep an eye out for Oblivion (PS3), BioShock (360), and Gears of War?? That'd be awesome, thank you!

game_fanatic, I don't really have any Circuit City stores nearby (closest one is just about an hour and a half drive away) but every time I've looked for the penny guides they never have them. Must be something about the area I'm in...they either just throw them away (boo!) or keep them at full price sticker value. I'll still look at other stores for you though :) Maybe I'll get lucky, but I doubt it. As for Phantom Hourglass what part is she stuck on? There are a lot of free online guides and FAQs...

afterburn999, I can do $22 shipped for Dead Rising. Let me know if you're interested :)

Hey Goomba-

I recently had you purchase a USB monitor adapter and a hard drive...I'm in no rush, but I was just wondering if you've at least received them yet.

Thanks!

Darrenmrules,

Yes your Harddrive already came in since we ordered that from a website (it's ready to go) but I'm waiting to ship it because the monitor adapter hasn't come in yet (if I recall correctly we got that from eBay). It should be in any day now though :) I'll mail both of them to you as soon as it's in. Thanks!

A little birdie in the GGT Target is having 1600 ms point card for $15 this weekend. I thought that might be something your customers might be interested in.

Myself, I am interested in Wii Points. Any deals on for those?

That's cool Jest. I actually have a 2000 point Wii Card available at the moment. What would you be looking to pay for it? I didn't buy to resell but if you're interested let me know. As for the MS Point Card...sounds good to me (then I can buy Braid even cheaper). I have been trying to change not to purchase things ahead of time to speculate what you guys will look to buy though, because lately I've been really, really wrong and it's backfired a lot.

Thanks for the heads up!

Hey Goomba,

You guys have an awesome deal on the Elite at Dell.com.

Do you think it's worth it to me if I ask you to get one for me or will that kill the deal?

How much would you think it'll cost me?

Heimdal,

I can get you one of those systems if you're interested. The shipping isn't all that awful actually. The Xbox 360 Elite packaged weighs 19 pounds and costs $43 for Priority Mail to Canada. I'm not sure if Dell charges tax or not (I believe they do charge a 6% tax). So altogether it'd be around: $369 USD total. Let me know if you're interested.

It looks like it includes the two games and an extra face plate as well. Seems like a good deal to me. Offer expires on 8/8 so let me know...not much time left.

$369 US sounds reasonable, but I calculated the PayPal conversion + the 4% fee, comes out to roughly $420 Canadian. Not that hot of a deal if you ask me.

Oh well, thanks anyways. Enjoy that crazy deal! I'd totally buy one if I live in the US.

That's right...Thanks again Firestorm for reminding me of that :) It's a good thing I didn't buy any ^_^

For the record:
US Xbox Live Codes = Work in Canada
US Xbox Points Cards = Don't work in Canada

Yeah sorry about that. At least (to my knowledge) Wii Ware games can be gifted from US to Canada...though I could be mistaken on that. Anyone care to chime in?

Hi Goomba,

I've got a request for you, and I'm definitely willing to pay up-front if you need. I'm looking at ordering several items from the square-enix-shop, since they (sadly) only ship to the US. Would you be willing to help me out?

Thanks! :)

marcus12024, I can Absolutely order items from the US Square-Enix store. Just let me know what items you want and I can help you figure out everything else. Be sure to PM me with your name, mailing address, Email address and phone number =) That way I can add you to my business software. Thanks!
