GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items. This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

Hey, just wondering if my Amazon order has arrived at your place yet? It consisted of Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete and Coach Season 2. I'm not asking if you sent it out yet, I'm just wondering if it has arrived at your place. I understand the past few weeks you have been super busy so I'm not concerned that you haven't sent it, take your time :D

Spike32, yes it did :) I just opened it as a matter of fact. I actually have about 10 packages that have not been opened simply because I haven't had time (the casino is killing me!) The good news is guys that after Saturday my work week will be back to normal (3 days a week) and I will have PLENTY of time to go through all your boxes, sort them out, repack them and ship them :)

This is only a once-per-season thing, and this summer tournament was a mess for the casino. Today we missed our goal of 350 players by over 120 players (which means the casino will lose more than $200,000 USD just from today alone...ouch). So naturally the casino is stressing out. Things will be good though next week and I hope to be 100% caught up by then. Thanks for understanding!

** Some Things to Know for Newcomers **

1) If you send a Direct Request to me I will typically send you an invoice within 24 hours. If you do not receive one then it means 99% of the time I am not able to get your item (especially with the Street Fighter IV items). I will still add your info to my system so that next time around I'll be ready to go.

2) If you do receive an invoice from me and do not receive a "Hey, I got your payment" message. This is normal too. I do not yet have an automated way to do this, but if it shows as cleared on Paypal, I got your payment and will order your items. In the future I hope to automate this on the site for status checks, but it will be a while away. Just bear with me :)

3) When I do receive your items, I will send an Email to you when they ship out. I will always send this to the Email address on file that I got when you submitted your Direct Request. If you need to update this, just let me know.

4) I am only human. I work all by myself on GFC with limited help from my wife when she's not busy. I process over 100 items a week for you guys lately while working 7 days a week at two or three seperate jobs. Needless to say I'm very busy, but I'm also very efficient when I am able to work on these orders. Just give it time. Most of the time the savings are worth it, and when I'm not backed up with my jobs I often send out items same day as I receive them. I will get back to my original pace once I just get over some hurdles in terms of my work ^_^

5) I appreciate your orders just as much as many of you appreciate my services. We really do help each other and it is the core reason this Win/Win business works. Just hang in there and we will both be very happy :)

** Daily GFC Update **

I realize I am really behind on shipping out some items this week, but I am steadily catching up. As I said before I really do plan on being all caught up after this weekend. That being said, I'm still working on coding for the GFC site (even if it doesn't look it).

Today I implemented real-time Canuck Buck updates. This means if you earn Canuck Bucks, I will add them to your bank account on the GFC site :) I haven't started calculating past Canuck Bucks, but you will soon see your credits available (even if the prizes are not listed there yet). So for fun, I'm going to post a mini-contest in my next post....

** Mini GFC Contest **

Prize: 1 "Canuck Buck" (Redeemable for goodies, prizes and such on the site in the near future). This will show up in your member stats at the top of the page after you successfuly log into GFC. At least it should (if my coding was done properly).

To win all you have to do is guess the number CLOSEST to the actual number (without going over): "How much in total have GFC members ordered through the Direct Request service on GamesForCanada.com?" - This includes only DR orders and not the website :) Good luck!

Entries will be accepted all day on Friday 07/31/2009 until I get tired of waiting to post the answer hehe. It'll be late in the day though ;)

Ummm....AJD23 you are WAY off lol. The idea is to guess how much the actual merchandise people have ordered through my Direct Request service. We started around April of 2008 :) Thanks for the guess though!

You're welcome spike32. It's going to be a LOT of work, but I will get it done. Just watch ;)

ADJ23 you are supposed to guess the total amount of all the items people ordered ^_^ I can tell you outright the Direct Requests orders are 458 orders to date. The challenge is how much (in USD $) do they add up to. Good luck (One guess per person)!

Rogan, yes this includes all orders before the DR mandate (more or less). All the orders I have logged in my system anyway which is about 99% of them :) Remember, if you guess over then you are out. If you guess under, you're safe. The closest to the actual number will win a free Canuck Buck ^_^

I'm off to bed now guys. One and a half more crazy days of this Poker Tournament and then I can recover my life back to "normal" ^_^ Cya soon everyone. Don't forget to take a guess at the contest :)

You know... lets be a little outrageous and assume $10,000 USD. I still think it's going to be a little higher though. I am also taking into account shipping and your $1-2 fee. I think I overshot it a bit though.

Goomba, I'm going to do a bit of an obscure thing with my order. I am going to pay $15.33 USD with my regular paypal, and the rest (besides the shipping/GFC fee/insurance) with my other paypal which I said in the comments of my payment. I will pay the rest of it when my payment clears.

I think I calculate it right, but I did do it in like 5 minutes before paypal went into it's maintenance routine... I wanted to get it done today, so it could be ordered in the morning (hopefully -- or atleast earlier than me getting hom) instead of friday evening when I get home from work.

My 2nd payment details what I want in the comments since the sellers changed and I didn't get my new invoice yet -- it may have changed since my last DR with the same order.

Also, since your shipping out the rest of my order without VP2... You can wait to ship VP2 until this order arrives and I pay you in 2 weeks.

Can you fit 5 games in the envelope or do you only do 3 max?

I'm going to guess $17,549!

$23,112 :)
RoganSarine, you can use your credit card now and I will refund you when you pay with the direct funds. That's totally fine. It goes back to your Paypal balance though as far as I know. I don't think they put it back on your credit card directly.
Actually I've gotten a refund or 2, and Paypal sent them directly back to my credit card. Using the exact same exchange rate they were drawn on too.

haha good guesses guys. I will reveal the actual number tonight when I get home from the Poker tournament :)

RoganSarine, for shipments with more than 2 games, I typically use cardboard boxes and sturdier shipping methods than envelopes. I get all sorts of boxes and packing materials from the many items I order, so generally speaking I have a limitless supply. Though some of the larger items need box sizes that I dont' regularly have and sometimes have to buy (but this is rare). Thanks again guys. Remember, this weekend I'm going to be shipping a TON of your items (almost 75) and I will be returning to the land of the normal people as of Sunday :) Yeah!

** GFC Daily Update **

Just so you know, last night I began coding Direct Request 2.0. This will allow you to request items without having to re-enter your address and personal information. Once you log into the site, it will remember your personal info and all you'll have to do is put in the item information you want to order. Direct Request 2.1 will allow you to add multiple items on a single form, but let's not get ahead of ourselves ^_^

I expect Direct Request 2.0 to launch sometime next week, so look out for that. Imagine that... an actual reason to log into the GFC site! It's about time hehe.

Okay guys, off to work I go. Tomorrow is officially the last day of the tournament, though today is the last day of the BIG tournament. Woo Hoo! I survived. I can't wait to see my paycheck next week :) Hope it's worth all this work and lack of sleep haha.

Hey Goomba, put my guess down for $32,109.

The last of the three boxes you shipped up for me arrived yesterday, and needless to say I'm a very happy pappy...! :bouncy:

Thanks for all your hard work! Now to start work on the next shipment

Goomba, just so you remember/make sure (and since I'm going to work for most of the day today) if you could pre-buy the silent hill, etc games. I am pretty sure that I sent the right amount to cover the cost of the purchase.

My math may be off though

Goomba, just checking to see if you ordered the blazblue artbook for me since I never got a confirmation email that its received or sent out.
Whoa that's a lot of stuff. How much did you throw down on all of that?
That's actually just a 'family photo' of my controllers, but of the ones pictured Goomba sent up the X-Arcade (eBay'd for ~$80) and the two MadCatz SFIV SE FightSticks (on sale at the GameShark/MadCatz store for $80 each less their 10% newsletter signup discount).

Not pictured but equally shipped North was my copy of BlazBlue 360 LE (~$60), Guilty Gear Accent Core XX (~$25) for Wii and Samurai Shodown Anthology for Wii (~$25)

My next batch will be a couple more games, but mostly some Sanwa and Seimitsu arcade parts from LizardLick.com (CDN shipping is kinda pricey) to modify the two SE sticks...that'll pretty much put me in the poorhouse for awhile, but I'll be set for fighting games for quite some time :)

Ansomatica, thanks so much for posting those awesome game controllers! I love seeing you guys take photos of the items I send you :) they're like little adopted children, in a way, being shipped to a foreign land or something. Much appreciated!

As for the "Price is Right" comparison, that's too funny :) I respect the $1 and $2 votes lol. I remember that episode on Family Guy too, good stuff haha.

I will leave the guesses open for one more hour or so then I will announce the winner! Thanks guys :) Back to Packing!

maigoyume, your artbook just came today in the mail from Aksys. I will be shipping out to you either tomorrow or Monday. Packing as fast as I can (I always pack items in the order of the invoices). Thanks ^_^
