GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items. This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

Hello Goomba,

Just wanted to say thanks for the BlazBlue Art books. I'm usually a bit of a lurker here but wanted to post my support for your efforts again. I still can't believe all the work that you do but I really appreciate it.

Hopefully everybody realizes how lucky we are to have your skills to keep track of all this stuff, hehe.

Let me know if you ever need a reference! :D

Cheers!

Chemgear, yeah I really want to go out of my way to get the point across that "I work really hard for you guys and can get you ALMOST anything you want at a great price" ^_^ As time goes on and the more support I get for GFC, the better my services will become. We've come a long way but I still know there is a LOT of room for growth. Once my site becomes a bit more pronounced, automated and developed it will be a lot more useful than it is now.

Thanks again for everything!

Firestorm, unfortunately no. I used to get them from SmurfAlmighty on CAG and a few stores that had them on sale frequently but lately there haven't been any :( I will of course let you guys know if they are cheap again but it may be a while. Sorry :(

** IMPORTANT GFC UPDATE **

Good news and great news guys. As you know, in the last few weeks GFC has really been growing exponentially. We have had a flood of new customers and orders coming in, and doing this all by myself has been busy to say the least. The great news is that I am officially hiring my wife, LanLan, to help me with invoicing and such. I will be forwarding your Direct Requests (DR's) to her as well as my traditional Email addresses, so there's a very good chance you may get invoices from her Email address:

[email protected]

if this happens, the payment info is the same :) so just be nice. She's new so if you spot anything that looks off just let her know. Feel free to just say hello as well ^_^ She doesn't bite! She doesn't have a CAG username (yet) so Email is the only way to contact her for now.

Between the two of us working on these, we will better be able to service all your orders. That way I can be packing while she invoices, or vice-versa. We are really going to need the extra income as we're saving for a down payment on our first house, and working faster will definitely help.

Thanks again for all your support guys!

=JJ=

I really wish GFC will come to a point where it can have you live decently on it alone (I always find it cool people starting their own business like this), but hopefully the prices don't fluctuate with the more demand for your services :p

Curiously, I know you just had a contest... but how many orders have you had to date? Successful ones? I'm kind of curious the ballpark of the business (IE: How the ones and twos stack up so quickly)

Anyway, I sent the last of payment for my current all-summer-long on-going order with you :p There MAY be that camera I might order around september... but we'll see how my finances hold with my new vehicle.

Secondly, do you have the sleeve in yet from amazon? I'm crossing my fingers the postal office will be nice and will get that to me before september 8th when my studies start back up which is a pretty tight schedule considering that is only 2 weeks.

Also, a friendly reminder if you could give me the dimensions of the sleeve before packing it away :p

So far to date we have had nearly 900 successful orders believe it or not, so things are moving along :) I don't plan on increasing my prices so no worry there (unless I have to due to inflation or whatever).

Thanks for your payment :) I will get all your things out to you. And yes, your laptop sleeve came in today as a matter of fact. I will go measure it for you ^_^

Your measurements are:

12.5" long (length), 10.5" high (height), 15" diagonal

It says it was designed for an Apple MacBook Air. Just so you know.

The heck? It's the 3 sleeve model right?

It's an HP sleeve, so that's a really weird thing to denote... Why is HP making an macbook air sleeve?

I assume height means width. Could you happen to tell me the depth of it quickly? The thing about the macbook air is that it is EXTREMELY thin.

Wait, if it's designed for the macbook air... Those dimensions don't even fit the macbook since the macbook is a 13.3" screen... Could I happen to get a picture? This sounds a little like they shipped the wrong sleeve or something weird if that's the case (or atleast the wrong pamphlet)

If I could get the depth of the inner pouch, that would determine if it actually does fit for me. It may be hard to measure though...

The last thing I want is to have the sleeve arrive and it is unable to be used at all by me.

The macbook air has a .75" depth while my laptop is 1.5"... So, you can see the potential problem.

Rogan, I just double checked and yes it's the exact one you ordered in the photo. 3 Sleeve and all that, triple zipper black and looks identical to picture.

The packaging just says "Apple MacBook Air" but it's not made by HP. Rather they are saying this case is perfect for an HP computer I assume.

The depth looks to be roughly an inch or so which means it would fit an air, though it may expand once you put your actual laptop in it. If they sell it with the HP Pavillion name, I assume it will fit your laptop. Also, the MacBook air is 12.8" diagonal and this case is nearly 15" so it would fit the Air just for the record.

Without having your laptop here it's hard to say, but I think it should fit if they sell it like that.

Really? I swear the macbook air is 13.3".

Clearly, the depth is really what I'm worried about. I know the rest will fit (unless the zipper doesn't wanna close since I'm pushing a quarter inch difference with my 9 cell battery).

I want a tight depth, but man... I'm am exactly double the three quarter inch thickness of the MacBook Air.

I almost wanna ask if you could try to put some DVD's and/or CD to try and mock the depth of the sleeve, but that would involve opening it (assuming it's shrink wrapped) since 2 DVD's and 1 CD is pretty close to 1.5" depth (If you have any out of your own personals you wouldn't mind using... since you'd have to use about 6 dvd's and 6 cd's to fully fill the sleeve so it doesn't stretch triangularly very much).

I've had very very misleading sellers over the internet, and these products arn't directly from amazon, so it's a possibility in my head that they were simply assuming, and with their huge selection, no one bought that one specifically since 12.1" laptops are a little on the rarer side.

Most either use netbooks or 15.4" right now.

Fear not ye with little faith. Here is an actual experiment I just did (rather unscientifically) for you just now ^_^

empty-laptop.jpg

1) Empty case without anything in it

filled-with-airbags.jpg

2) Filled up the case with shipping air bags to simulate laptop thickness. Did double rows.

puffed-up.jpg

3) As you can see the bag is much puffier now (as it would be with a laptop inside)

almost-three-inches.jpg

4) As you can see with my trusty ruler, the laptop case is now puffed to almost three inches in depth. Not bad and more than you'll need for a laptop I presume ^_^

So no worries :)

Yeah, in retrospect the DVD cases would probably have made more sense but I used air bags since they filled more overall space and were more uniform in size. In any case I think you should be fine. ^_^

Alright, I trust your scentificness.

Curiously, what camera do you got? :p

Thirdly, is one pouch zippered and the other pouch behind where that gray line on the front is any not zippered? I don't know exactly why I wanted one with 3 pouches, but I could have found a use for them... Knowing are are zippered and arn't will prove to be how I start sorting stuff.

I actually have a very nice camera but took rather quick and unprofessional shots haha. I have a Canon Rebel XSi (Digital SLR) as well as a point-and-shoot that I use for most product photos (though the battery is dead right now, have to charge it).

As for the zippers, yeah I'm not sure why you need three either but it looks kind of cool. The front one is unzippered slightly yes and the top one is zippered. The third pouch is actually a Velcro pouch in the middle (no zipper) which I guess is used for quicker access or whatever. Not a bad little sleeve though. I quite like it.

Ah, if it's velcro that is nicer. I thought it was just the really tightly stretched stuff that relies on pressure like the stuff you find on binders.

The sleeve looks sleeker than the pictures on amazon made it look. It'll be nice thing to tote around my 3 grand tablet in...

Heh, you have a similar camera setup that I do. Although, I am wanting that Sanyo Xacti I linked to earlier (Just waiting to see how much I have left over when school starts) for my green screen special effects projects and because it's the only camera that shoots in 720p while also doubling as a 10 megapixel camera with no noise in the pictures (and DECENT low light video capabilities). The dual-camera-ness of it is pretty sweet.

Yeah seriously, the Xacti is incredibly awesome. I still use my 7.1 Megapixel Digicam for video (takes great 640x480) but for higher quality I use my (now ten years old...wow) miniDV camera that I bought back in 1999. Sure, it uses tapes, but still takes great video. Not HD by any means but a lot better than the cameras I had as a kid :) Besides, I don't really need HD in all honesty. I can take great stills and decent video and that's enough. Some day I'll get a fancy camera for video when they come down in price further.

Right now my favorite toy is my Wacom Cintiq (drawing tablet with LCD screen). I love that thing to bits and one day I will create nice animations on it...when I'm not bogged down with so much work ^_^

Alright guys, I'm going to bed soon. Thanks for everything. Remember, be sure to say hi to LanLan when you get a chance (it'll be good for moral support) and if you get an Email from her for the invoice just follow the instructions as always. Right now we are using the free version of Quickbooks which means we both have the same version but the two computers don't sync with each other. I may pony up $300+ to get the 2-License version of the full version (that lets the data stay in sync) but that's a lot of money right now ^_^;;;

I just like the idea of having less and/or smaller gadgets to carry arround. If there is ever a GOOD phone that has the capabilities with the Xacti, but with an iPhone like thing... That'd be amazingly perfect since I use them all pretty frequently, and like how most people are a photoshop afficiando and enjoy taking pictures, I like working with special effects, green screens and videos. I would also get a gorilla pod with it which can allegedly stick to anything while holding a camcorder or phone.

That's the other thing I want... an iPhone, but I'm not about to switch my current carrier for Rogers since I quite like my $25 bill for unlimited texting. To get what I want out of an iPhone, it'd just me $25 for base plan + $15 for the data plan + $5 or so for the texting + $10 for the voicemail/call display + $7 for their b.s. service charge.

I wish the Sony PSP had the phone capabilities, a touch screen, and a second analog nub -- then it could justify it's price tag even at $300. I would so pay for it too.

To be able to access the PSN, my email, the internet, have a touch screen for typing and have a slide out gamepad? You know how strong of a competitor that'd be? It'd be an awkward phone (look wierd), but even if it's a plug in mic like how the PSP uses skype... IT'd still be awesome. I don't overly care for looks.

Asides from that, unless you can find me a cheap shadow of destiny and complete fatal frame series bundle (or the whole series seperately for cheap)... looks like I'm done until a good deals comes along (IE: For Resident Evil 5 -- WHY DO CAPCOM GAMES NEVER PRICE DROP???) because those two series listed previously are all I have left that I want from last gen asides from Ico which I'm not paying anything more than $25 for. I can finally put the money towards my drumset and guitars... yay.

hey goomba, have you ordered that item from the Amazon Marketplace yet? I know you'll send out an invoice when it's shipped, but I'm curious if you've got around to actually ordering it heh. Thanks!

Just sent you a direct request for the fightpad I messaged you about a few days ago. The money is in Paypal now, so I can pay whenever. Thanks.

Goomba, you may have noticed that the eCheck cleared (forgot I had one clearing). I guess we can just put put that towards my next purchase of whatever (Make sure no fees were taken off checks)

Gombay, I will go and send your invoice now. I'm not sure which character they will send, but I'll make sure to get the Xbox 360 version ... no worries! :) Thanks!

game_fanatic, yes I ordered it as soon as I got your payment :) Have no fear! I will let you know when it comes in and everything ^_^

RoganSarine, actually I already applied your e-Check to the past payments, so while we are caught up now, there is no credit left over. Your last invoice had it applied to it already. I just credited it before it cleared since you had other payments coming in anyhow. I will update the GYR list soon. Thanks!

AznChaos, yes you can order items and have them shipped directly to me. You will have to use my shipping address and include your name on the C/O line. You still are REQUIRED to submit a Direct Request (DR) form though to let me know that the item is coming in. This way I can keep track of who has what coming in. I get a LOT of packages :)

If you need my mailing address just PM me and I will send you all the info you need ^_^ Thanks!

How would it work if we order items to your address? Would we have to put something in the price? Do we have to send a DR before we have the item sent?

Also, i've sent the money. Give me the total shipping once you have gotten everything in.

telepathy, if you want to order items to my house. Just fill out the DR as usual but put the price as $0.00 and then in the comments say "Already ordered myself, shipping to your address". That's it. Thanks ^_^ I got your payment and going to go and order your items. I will definitely let you know when they all come!

Okay, cool. I'll definitely see if i can take advantage of buying stuff myself. Thanks a lot, this will help me immensely :)

edit: Is your correct address the one on the invoice? some people dont send to PO boxes so ....

Last edited by a moderator:
telepathy, sounds great :) The PO Box is my business mail address but not my shipping address (like you said, most places do not allow for PO Box shipping). I have a home address (which means I have to be home to sign for it) as well as a business UPS account where they will sign for me and hold in a locked area. PM for the address list ^_^

Maunderer, awesome man! I'm slowly building up your camera collection haha. Hope you take some amazing shots with all those new toys!

RoganSarine, okay my friend we are officially 100% caught up :) I will get your existing items mailed out to you and we can figure out future ones. *Phew*

--------------
I'm off to work guys. Won't be back until around 8PM tonight and even then I have to run to the mall to return some things with my wife. Busy, busy. As always PM/Email/DR me and I'll get back to you ASAP. Thanks!

Just a friendly reminder. This week is crazy busy in terms of how many of your packages are coming in (more than 50!) so just hang in there. I will be using the GYRO system (what I am now officially calling the "Green Yellow Red Order" system...clever eh?). So GYRO will be what I use to update you. Please don't ask "Goomba did you get my order in yet? I will let you know :) Thanks!)

Shijui - I received your payment and pre-ordered Magna Carta 2 for you with pre-order bonuses ^_^ I will let you know when it ships!

telepathy, honestly eBay is one of the options I don't recommend you order by yourself. Simply because many sellers will not ship to addresses different than your Paypal info (especially different country...sends a red flag), but also because if you need to return it for whatever reason it gets more complicated. I still recommend you just contact me to do the eBay items.

If you do INSIST on ordering them yourself you will have to convince the eBay buyers to ship to me, which some will outright refuse. If you do this though, please consider using my eBay affiliate links on my page which will generate a little extra income for GFC :) Thanks.

would it work if i create a paypal w/ur address for the sole purpose of having stuff sent to you so you can send it to me? it would be easier since some auctions can be tricky w/me underbidding & such

I just noticed that there's a service called Borderlinx that's similar to what Goomba does and even with the free registration (normally $30) through Visa perks and 15% savings on shipping for the rest of this year it's a huge rip off. Here's the estimated cost to ship a game from the US to Canada (before 15% savings).

Code:
Item USD CAD
Duty $ 1.48 $ 1.61
Taxes $ 9.81 $10.69
Shipping (0.20 kg) $24.00 $26.15
Total shipping charges $35.29 $38.45
Plus original product value $50.00 $54.49
Total cost $85.29 $92.95

Sinath, yeah I thought you'd be happy to hear that. The better news is that I just got your copy in the mail today and hope to have it out to you tomorrow. Woo Hoo! GFC comes through again ^_^

Fuzzy, that's absolutely insanely expensive. I can't imagine why on earth it'd cost so much lol. I'm glad that I don't have to worry too much about my limited competition taking over my customers any time soon :)

Please continue to look up my competitors and see how crazy they are ^_^ Only GFC offers rock-bottom service charges and fair shipping if you ask me!
