GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items. This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.
Isn't this pretty much why goomba started this in the first place? We either get no shipping from the US or we get raped by the fees.
Check out goomba's shipping fees;

$37.00 USD = 10 Pounds

For all weights over 10 pounds, add $2.00 USD per pound (rough estimate that follows USPS guidelines)

My father's package is 15 lbs, making it $47USD. I guess my question is: Will the extra fees from UPS be more than what it costs for goomba to send my father the package? If yes, than goomba is the way to go...if no, then direct from the company is the way to go. If no one knows, then I'm in the same situation I was 24 hours ago heh.

Just wondering what the cost might be on 3 and 12 month xbox live gold. Also, do you mail the card itself, or just email the code?

Hi Goomba,

First time inquirer. I am looking at the Tritton AX 720 headset being sold exclusively by Best Buy in the US. Retail price is $129.99. Package weight is 2lbs, 3 ounces according to Tritton's website. What are we looking at for total cost shipped to Canada (Postal Code S4T 7S4, Saskatchewan).

I was checking Fat Wallet and it seems there are some 10% off coupons for Best Buy. Think you could incorporate that into the deal?

Lastly - Do you ship these items as gifts? I am wondering with an item costing around 150USD if I will be charged any extra fees when I get it? Can anyone else comment? Is there a way we can avoid this?

Looking forward to your response. Thanks!

With customs, it's pretty much a gamble. Sometimes you might get hit, sometimes you won't.

With marking items as gift, IF it passes as one, it's only up to $60 CAD that you are exempt from taxes. So for your item, it'll be 150 - 60 = 90. You'll have to pay GST,PST, and/or HST on $90 plus $5 processing fee. This is based on Canada Post.

Not sure about other carriers.

Yeah, I wonder how the hell DealExtreme gets away with it. Haha.

With that said, I haven't had any customs charges for any of the items I've received from Goomba. Typically all my purchases have been less than $60 though.

Hey guys, I was at work yesterday for 12 hours so I didn't get to go online really. For some reason, CAG didn't notify me of any of your recent messages on here. So I will have to go through them one by one tonight. I'm going to be out of town until later though so just hang in there. I'll try to respond to all your questions/inquiries. Thanks guys. Oh and Happy Halloween!

Okay, enough was explained about customs I think but yes, Gift items up to $55-$60 are not generally charged customs. I can't claim gift status for all items as I'd get in trouble as explained, though for smaller items it shouldn't be an issue anyway. I also can't mark down say a new laptop as being worth $60 as that'd set off major red flags (not to mention you wouldn't be able to insure it for more than it's marked). So enough about customs. I will always try to repack items into smaller shipments if I think it can save you money.

TheCurse9, your item was back-ordered by a week but it just came in the mail and it's sitting here on my desk :) I'm going to pack it up for you now and mail it out first thing Monday when the post offices re-open after the weekend.

Ragnar, yup :) people can always forward things to me to mail up there. I don't guarantee it'll ALWAYS be cheaper than sending directly but UPS definitely overcharges for many things and you will get stung like crazy with import fees for sure. UPS is a big no-no. For companies that only ship UPS, then yeah it's worth considering to ship to me first :)

Ginx, yeah I got your DR 10 minutes before I went to sleep. I put in a proxy bid for you with your max bid, but we got outbid anyway so I didn't bother to send the DR at that point. But by all means, if you find another item similar on eBay and want me to bid please put in another DR (with at least 12 hours before ending time though if you could. Thanks!)

telepathy, from what I hear they're quite expensive and limited so it's unlikely we'd get one without going through Play-Asia or wherever (and in that case you could probably just order from them directly for less considering the shipping weight). We'll see though.

Korahn, for 3 month Xbox Live cards it's $18.50 USD and for 12 month cards they are $44 USD. I send them through the E-Mail or PM system on CAG within 2-3 days typically. Thanks! Let me know if you want one.

shadow_nine, yes I got in all the Transformers Big Screen Editions for everyone who placed DR's and paid for them. They are very limited now (sold out online and almost all stores sold out the first day). I managed to get them from ordering online ahead of time so that worked out well. If I end up with any extras I'll probably throw them on my website or on eBay. We'll see :) Thanks!

If you end up with an extra one let me know, I'll be willing to take it, I just didn't want you to go through the trouble of heading back out to pick me up one when you probably already had all of my other stuff ready to go.

Awesome, thanks again! :D

Goomba how quickly does amazon ship items to your house? My gift card redemption doesn't clear until Tuesday that I want to use on a minitripod. I was also seeing if I could swing the camera to be shipped this week (not that I'm in any hurry :p ).

Packages take 2 days to get here when ordered from Amazon with Amazon Prime typically. Unless they are from the marketplace. Then it's anyone's guess.

Alrighty.

Since I'm 0/3 on you receiving my Direct Requests (for whatever reason... :p I think your system hates me) I just sent the money for the Mini GorillaPod Tripod that I wanted:

http://www.amazon.com/Joby-GP1-E1EN...1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1257140564&sr=8-1

Hopefully with that, my full size tripod, and the camera itself I'll be ready for any situation that presents itself. It'll be definitely nice to have an image stabilizer in my travels (for what little I do).

I basically just sent $15.00 for the tripod so you can order it tomorrow or whenever. I'll give you the gift cards on Tuesday, and when I do, this payment can just be the shipping payment since it'll roughly be that anyway.

This way, you can just refund whatever I over sent and leave everything in your ballpark. Hopefully, my random and awkward style of payments doesn't leave too much of a headache for you :p I feel really bad playing around with refunds with all the extra work it entails.

Okay I'm going to order your tripod now. Those things look incredibly cool (I've seen them before on websites but didn't know what they were called...awesome, now I know!)

Oh and it's alright. My system doesn't hate you (or does it?) but in any case the way you ordered and paid is fine :) I am learning your quirky ways of payment slowly hehe. I'm off to bed now but I did order your tripod. Thanks again Rogan. Best of luck!

Glad to help you get your camera and tripod to you ^_^

Hi Goomba,

First time using your service...how much would it cost in total to have this HORI EX2 Fight Stick for X360 http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000V02P6Q...e=asn&creative=380341&creativeASIN=B000V02P6Q

shipped to me, postal code K2G5V9? I need a final price including the 49.99 + shipping to you and to me and whatever other charges there are. Thanks! (PM me if you can, or I'll check back later tonight).

Thanks for this really nice service!

Hey Goomba, I wanted to know if you were able to ship out my copy of Demon's Souls yet? I know you're busy, I just wanted to know if it was going to ship out soon :)

Also I referred you to someone hopefully they end up using your awesome service!

Just so you guys know, I have one more day at my casino job (Tuesday 11/3/2009) then I'm off for two days (I'll be working my University job those days but will have internet access unlike in the casino). Also, next week starting the 14th through the 21st is our big fall tournament at the casino which means I'll be working extra hours.

As usual, I process all orders in the order I receive them AND in the order I receive the packages. Right now I'm up to most orders up to 10/15/2009 and will be packing a ton more tomorrow morning and evening. TronB, your package is in tomorrow's morning shipment so you should get an Email letting you know.

B1oShock, I'm going to go look at the new DR's and try to get you an invoice. Thanks!

Excellent! You guys will be happy (?) to know that I am still up at 4:15 AM packing packages for you all :) Man oh man is this busy. I can't imagine what it's going to be like in three or four weeks when the Black Friday sales come up. It's going to be insane lol. Wish me luck =P

Goomba, if you get my msg, if you could bid on the items i sent you in the DR & when i get home (which will probably be around 10-11), ill send you money. If you cant, thats okay as well.

Good luck and thanks for your services.

TideTime, I just got your DR and will send you an invoice very soon ^_^ Thanks! It really is a lot more helpful than requesting in the forum, so I appreciate that.

telepathy, will do. I'll go check them out. Thanks!

Heart, I really appreciate it :) I've put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into this service in the year and a half that we've been doing it. I'm hoping to catch up on all the orders so I can start working more on developing the website :) I keep saying that but I keep getting in new orders (which is great), but keeps me from updating the site lol. Thanks again!

telepathy: update. I put in $67.00 bids (since you said $70 including the $3.00 shipping from the eBay seller) for both of those two cards you wanted. Thanks!

Speaking of Black Friday Goomba... How quickly do the online sales sell out? I assume they are all limited qty. I've never actually ordered anything on black friday because none of my stateside friends were ever willing to ship me stuff... So I always ignored the completely awesome deals (WHY CAN"T CANADA HAVE ONE?)

P.S.: My payment cleared.

They typically sell out rather quickly (an hour or less) though some of the items are available for set times (1 day-2 days, etc.) or even weekly sales around this time. Many of the sales are online only of course (this is why I prefer to shop with Amazon and Best Buy and such instead of Wal-Mart as I hate their in-store service and their online services are questionable at best).

Yes I see that your payment cleared :) I will be waiting for your Gorilla tripod and other things before shipping them out. Then I can figure out what you have coming back to you. Thanks!

Got MadWorld, I'll leave feedback after work.

Some great headsplitting news though, Rogers removed Quantum from the T2 get Modern Warfare 2 list.)
Still gonna give it a shot though.

Hey Goomba,

Just wanted to check and see what the status is at the moment.

Just waiting on the matrix?

Thanks =)

gsrce, just got the Matrix in the mail so I should be good to go. Just still processing items in the order that I got them so I'm almost there :) I do have a system even if it seems like a random/crazy one ^_^ Maybe some time when I'm not so busy I'll make a how GFC works documentary :) Thanks!

Question for Goomba (or anyone who knows from experience with this) - how much is shipping for two PS2 games? I'm sure this has been answered but this is a very long thread. The OP says around $3 for one game, but then I read a post that said 10 Wii games was $12, so I can't see it being $6 for two games. I'm probably reading something wrong somewhere, just need a little clarification!

$3 per game s pretty accurate. I was charged ~$12 for 4 games, so I dunno who got the 10 Wii game thing.

Edit: I have an invoice from JJ with 2 games -- Charged $6.

It's $3 per game because the shipping is judged on weight.

elevature (great avatar by the way) - Shipping is $3.00 for one game and around $5.50 for two games. You get a slight discount for the weight for average games when shipping two though $3.00 per game is a good rough estimate.

The games will always differ. For DS games for instance they often have lighter games (cartridges) but heavier manuals/cases for some reason. Also, Xbox 360 games tend to be heavier than PS3 games for whatever reason. $3.00 per game is the average though. It's entirely weight based though :)

If you care to ask about two specific games I may very well have shipped or have them in my office, so feel free to ask. Thanks!

Thanks for the quick update Goomba.

It's all been paid for, and I also included my new address with the PayPal payment.

Thanks again =)

Yikes...I just wrote a LONG update for all you guys. I clicked submit and CAG had an internal error. So now I'm just going to make this short and sweet:

elevature, yes that's right :) If you want them please submit a Direct Request on my page. I shipped around 60 copies of those games so yes, they're very popular :)

Corizzle, PM sent back. Should answer your concerns ^_^

gsrce, awesome! I'm going to go and pack your items now. Will send out with the morning shipment at the post office. Talk to you soon!
