GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items. This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

Hey Goomba. I just received my mini-dvi and hdmi cables. I'm using my macbook on my LCD tv as we speak and it is awesome.

Can't wait to get my DVDs from you soon! :)

I left feedback too.

hey goomba, just a quick question for ya; is it cheaper to receive small shipments from you, or just one larger shipment? Once I'm done school I'm going to celebrate by placing a somewhat large order at GFC (BRs, headphones, earphones, etc.) and was just curious which way is the cheapest. Thanks for the heads up!

GF, doesn't he split it up when sending it to you the way he thinks it's going to be cheapest anyway?

From my understanding, since it's all measured by weight, it doesn't matter.

The only reason to split the package is to avoid customs (so you don't have to declare such a high value)

bouzi, thanks for letting me know. That's great :) I'm working as hard as I can to get all the orders out lickety-split. Still hard with all my jobs, my wife's upcoming China trip and family stuff, but I'm getting it done ^_^

game_fanatic, it really depends on the item. When you're talking about games then typically you only save about $0.50 per game when shipping multiple ones. For larger items it's almost always cheaper to ship together, though you have more of a risk of having to pay customs and such. So yes, combining light items makes little difference and combining bigger ones will save you more. If you use the shipping estimator on my site you can see why :)

RoganSarine, yes you're right. If I think it's cheaper I will always split up items :) Yes it is measured by weight but if you go beyond the 4 pound mark that's when it gets complicated (Priority Mail and such). And yes, you're right about customs as well =) You really are going to be my secretary some day lol.

So, can I make your FAQ page yet? :p

I think people have this false notion of combined shipping because for the longest time, we all dealed with ebay where sellers always over-charged shipping to make an unnatural "reserve".

Hell, the cheapest I ever got on shipping was $6.50 and then $2.50 or so for every additional game.

Haha, I'm going to make a good FAQ page soon enough. I really want to do video Q & A's for the big questions but just don't have the time to do anything really spiffy. My wife is going to China in April and I'm also getting laid off from my University job that month, so I'm going to have a lot more time to devote to this little GFC project :)

eBay sellers definitely inflate their prices to cover eBay fees, but do often take it a bit too far. I try to be as fair as possible and cut costs as much as I can. Thanks!

Honestly you should keep your FAQ CTRL+F-able

in other words, text-only.

Unless you wanna do some sort of introductory video, with a grand tour of the GFC offices, then yeah, THAT would be spiffy.

The grand tour of the GFC offices :) haha it'd be a little tiny back office of my house with a bunch of cardboard boxes piled to the ceiling. Not exactly flattering ^_^ Maybe once I get an actual office outside of my home area. As for the FAQ of course I'd have it all text with video being in addition to the text. Since sometimes it's easier to watch a quick one minute video than it is read paragraph after paragraph of text. But definitely will have text to go along with it as I always have. Thanks!

hey goomba,

how much do i pay for my bid of resident evil~!?
and also what if i combine it with blazblue from gamestop.com
how much would the total be, thanks.

hey goomba, finally got my headsets and they are awesome. thanks for trusting me with holding the item while waiting for my funds to transfer in.

maybe when something like this happens i can count on you again? :p i'll do my best to avoid it though. =]

Alright, so I'm pretty sure I want to get this: http://www.amazon.com/Zoom-G9-2tt-G...8&s=musical-instruments&qid=1265757719&sr=8-1

It's $299 US. So basically, it's gets shipped to you for free (over $39), so I just pay Shipping + exchange rate + $2 flat rate?

Can you give me an estimate of what it would cost? I think I posted this before, but that was a long time ago. I have tons of money to spend now, and I want to just buy something lol.

Before you said it would be about $350 in total. Is that still somewhat accurate?

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know I just got home from work. I had almost 60 packages waiting for me today so I'm going to go and unpack them all and will get as many out as possible tomorrow. We are planning to get a blizzard/Nor'easter though so the post office may very well close tomorrow. We'll see :) I will Email you and PM you back responses for most of your questions tonight and will try to catch up with all new DR's. Thanks!

whitehawk, the only thing you have to change is that for items over $150 or more than 5 pounds there is an extra $5 charge, so yes item cost plus shipping plus a $7.00 fee and you're golden :)

Alright, so do I just enter all the info on your site, or do we do it on this forum? I'm also not sure how to pay (sorry I'm inexperience with buying online).

Also, what does this mean? (on the amazon link)

Item Weight: 18 pounds
Shipping Weight: 7 pounds (View shipping rates and policies)
What?

Honestly it probably means that they ship two of them in a package when Amazon gets them. So maybe it's 7 pounds for one of them, 14 pounds for two and 18 pounds when you add in the packaging. That's my only guess. I have no idea though :)

Hey Goomba,

The items showed up today, thanks =)

BTW, still awaiting on an email from you about the lowball items, not in any rush, so take your time =D

Oh Goomb, if you havn't already packed the stuff, you can always send me the L4D2 code over email or PM... I got 2 weeks break from everything due to the olympics, wouldn't mind choppin' up some zombies :p

gsrce, I got the day off from work due to our blizzard outside. I'll be catching up on the Lowball and DR orders today. Thanks!

RoganSarine, sounds good. I will send you the code today via PM.

spike32, you're welcome. Sorry man. The cheapest I've found for a used copy is $35 plus tax. I'm sure the prices will drop soon enough though. That's what happened with the original Sigma anyhow :)

goomba too busy T_____T;;

wizic, yeah I'm so incredibly busy ^_^ But here's the answers to your questions:

1) $13.50 USD (includes the price of the game plus shipping). If you're paying with a credit card please include another dollar to cover fees.
2) The Blazblue after service fee and tax is $34.00 USD. So altogether it'd be an even $50.00 USD for everything shipped.

Thanks!

Not a problem at all. Thanks wizic. Sorry I'm so busy this week. As mentioned a few times, I'm working around the clock to really, really get this GFC ball rolling. As we all know starting up is the hard part, and once everything is working things are going to be much easier for me ^_^ When that happens, we all win!

Dont worry about it you're doing this for all of us we should be please and understandable :3
I've left you a thumb up on CAG market place =D

Absolutely my friend ^_^ I have until April 15th to really get my service up and running, otherwise I'm going to literally go bankrupt once I lose my second job. So I have every intention in the world to make this thing run and run well :)

If there's anything I can do to make the service better for you or anyone you know, just let me know and I will always look into it. Right now my main priority is getting all current and previous orders up to speed and to make sure that all future orders are processed speedily. The easier the service is to work, the better =)

Goomba.

I'm just wondering about an update on the GFC Lowball auction for the XBL Gold membership that I won. :)) Thanks for making an auction for it btw, perfect timing! My current XBL membership expires on the 12th, would there be any chance I could pay and get the code before then? Whatever works best for you. Thanks!

Crushem, absolutely. If you pay for it now I'll send you the code immediately. The payment instructions are on the Lowball page in the Payments section, or if you want I can PM you them. Thanks!

Would it be $33 + $2 item fee because there is no actual shipping? If that's the case, I can send you the money tonight. Also, I would be paying by credit card so there's an additional fee to cover the credit card, correct?

EDIT: After reading all that I just typed, how about you just let me a grand total including fees and whatnot and I'll pay ya! LOL Thanks.

I will be doing a ton more Lowball items. I lost a little bit on this last round though so I want to work on catching up on all DR's, listing more eBay items and then doing more Lowball. The idea is eventually to get as many people as possible registered with the site so it becomes a regular event. If nobody knows about it then I'm dead ^_^

I'll keep you guys posted. Lots to do!

cant wait for the next lowball. i want 12month XBL!

I can always advertise your site more specifically when a lowball comes up, I just never thought of it for the last lowball (since there wasn't a lot that caught my attention).

More or less, though, any relatively recent video I've worked on has your website somewhere in my video ^^'' I'll keep it in mind for the next lowball.

I appreciate it Rogan. I realize there wasn't anything jaw-dropping with the Lowballs and that's sort of the reason I run them after all, to get some much needed stock room in my tiny office and to clear out older titles that have been around way, way too long. It's a good draw to bring you guys in but I really can't risk the uncertainty of listing $50 games and having them end at $4 :) That being said, I'll definitely try to get more items together for future Lowball sales.

I will do my best to get some better items though. I really, really, really do appreciate the plugs in your videos. It means a lot to me!

It was just mainly xbox/360 stuff which kept me weary. I'm a sony fanboy :p

But hey, throw up some classic ps2 titles and I totally would bid on them :p I do kinda of want to replace my xbox indigo prophecy, the suffering 2, and dark watch with the PS2 versions :p //nudge nudge...

Oh, and a PSP version of Shadow of Destiny XD

//really has to stop spending money -- Goomba, you're too good at what you do.

By the way, I got 2 exams tomorrow, so I'm kinda hyper (not nervous or anxious, just hyper).

Well let's be honest. The PS3 has a LOT more universal appeal these days. Almost all of my Canadian customers and European/Asian/Australian customers and South American customers choose the PS3 versions of games before the Xbox 360 copies, which leaves me many more extra Xbox games. They also tend to go on sale more (Xbox 360) here in the US. But I'll try to get a bigger PS3 variety in the future.

I will try my best to get more PS2/PS3/DS/PSP and others in the next lowball. Maybe this time I'll list like 30 items before announcing it :)

Console war over folks.

Haha :) let's not go there. For the record I own all the systems: Nintendo DS/DS Lite/DSi, Xbox 360, PS1, PS2, PS3, PSP, PC, Mac, iPhone, SNES, NES, Gameboy, Gameboy Pocket, Gameboy Color, Virtual Boy (yes, don't judge), Gameboy Advance, Gameboy Advance SP, etc. etc.

Lots of console love to go around!

Wasn't the 360 only ever "winning" in North America?? Im not wanting a flame war, but wasn't that always how it was?

North America has a ridiculously high attachment rate to the 360 that basically combats the rest of the world?

I don't really follow it at all, I own a 360, I just can't justify buying anything that ain't exclusive on it. I can play most of it on my gaming PC with a better or equivalent interface, or I get it on the ps3 for free online. All I want is party chat and a universal music player for sports games (one that you can activate at any time regardless of manufacturer coding... that way, I can just mute the ingame audio, and use the ps3 to play my music via the xmb).

only thing that sucks? Since I'm in north america, I got no one that I know with a damn playstation to play online games with... Online alone is just pure boring.

Don't get me wrong. I love my Xbox 360 but the fact is I do generally prefer PS3 versions for most games simply because I like the Blu-Ray format, and I like that it is virtually scratch proof (the Blu-Ray discs). The Xbox 360 does seem to have much better variety in downloadable games though, but I think that's more the fact that XNA programming is easier (in theory) and they seem to allow more developers to go hog wild with the platform. For multiplatform games though I typically go PS3 as I don't really play online.

The Xbox 360 does have some great exclusives, but again there's no reason most of the games couldn't be done on the PS3. They just tend to be more exclusives there, but the PS3 has more Japanese exclusives and a lot more RPGs and such, so it's hard to argue there. If you like FPS games chances are the 360 is better, but if you like almost all other games the PS3 has the same amount if not more options.

The fact is both systems are good in slightly different ways. I also have not had a 360 die on me yet *Knocks on Wood* but then again I don't play it enough to wear it out. Online gameplay is definitely superior on the 360, but again I don't really have much time for it sadly so it isn't really a major factor for me. Though I do love me some 1 Vs. 100 (even if I can't qualify for prizes in my state).

Are the discs themselves actually scratch proof? I never tried it, but I always assumed it was the same plastic (my discs rarely get scratched anyway... unless it's my starcraft or warcraft 3 discs that I used to play 24/7).

For me, though, while the interface is nice... As long as I can talk with my friends and add them easily to my game (even if it's through the game interface) it's really no big deal difference -- I just want cross-game voice chat, so I can play RE5 while my friend plays LBP instead of having to do it through the PC.

Or better yet, somehow get the PS3 to install a private ventrilo of sorts (up to 8 people or so) where your friends can just hop in and out of at will when they login to their PS3 and ask you to game... Now THAT would be epic. It could be pretty easily done since it requires the net performance over the CPU performance.

I still argue that games are better on the 360 because your friends probably are playing their games online ON the 360. Yeah, my 360 hasn't died on me either, but that's aother reason I don't want to invest in the platform. Sony has been good to me, and I still have my launch PS2 working (despite everyone getting the failures).

I havn't had a console die on me yet, but apparently the 360 may be my first :(

Speaking of which... I almost 100%'d the RE5 copy you sent me... I love me some bad scripts apparently, or... trophies/achievements are just really addicting.

[quote name='RoganSarine']Are the discs themselves actually scratch proof? ...

Yeah the discs are pretty durable, I've left 'em on my desk (at the mercy of all my other shit on my desk that can scratch it) and nada. Same deal if I leave it somewhere it'll get dusty and having it moved around will scratch it but just wipes off.

And we all want cross game chat :(.

I've had two 360s die on me, and no I wasn't a big enough retard to just blindly go out and buy another one. Let's just say working in a certain place where people traded in games and gaming thing was a great place to offer cash instead and get stuff for real cheap. Which is why I have about 5 360s (all used for different things) but my PS3s are the jewels on my gaming mantle. I CAN'T QUIT YOU PS3!

@Roganshrine: add me to PSN, I play multiplayer stuff on it (my consistent online gaming is done on the PC though), White Knight Chronicles is my thing now, just killing through Story Mode so I can start questing online with that Georama shit :D.

Blurays are much more durable than DVDs (360/wii games). I get a lot of stuff from Goozex and the 360 games are often scratched up.. but the blurays are almost always in perfect condition. You really have to abuse it to get a scratch on it.

Blu-rays have a very scratch resistant coating that's practically necessary due to the storage density of the medium. Supposedly you can take a screwdriver to it, but I'm not trying that for myself :)

That being said, I'm a PC gamer primarily, so the 360 doesn't really provide me with a whole bunch of exclusive games that are appealing, while both my PS3 and even the Wii sometimes have pretty great exclusives I don't want to miss. I DO in fact have a 360, but it's been sitting in my garage for a while and I don't even know if it still works, lol....

Yes it's true that Blu-Rays are ridiculously durable and that's why I love them. I have no reservation buying used PS3 games because I have yet to receive one with anything more than a few fingerprints (which are easily cleaned off and removed). I think the greatest thing about this generation are honestly the downloadable games. Every system has ridiculously good exclusives. Not only are they good games, but they're inexpensive (for the most part) as well :) Hope the next generation continues this trend (and I think they will).
