GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items. This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

Thanks for the tips guys! I'm going to go and try to buy an HDTV antenna and if that doesn't work I'll definitely attempt to use the website you gave me with the foxy proxy method. Thanks a bunch :) Can't wait for the game! Even if you guys beat the US team I'll still be happy. Either way it'll be good and we'll both end up with Gold & Silver one way or another =) Great way to finish the Olympics!

Someone usually links a stream on the facebook chat @ the score page of http://www.vancouver2010.com/, might be in another language though :p, but ctvolympics.ca is where to go just gotta use proxy to see it outside of Canada. Have fun watching hockey tonight, best of luck to both sides!

Goomba my payment should have gone through via Amazon GC. Thanks!

** GAME OVER **

Canada wins! Congrats guys. I was on the edge of my seat during the overtime. Talk about a great match. So tense! I was shaking every time they made a shot. I'm happy for you guys =)

Goomba man if I could I'd make you a honourary Canadian right on the spot. What a great finish, thanks for watching it with us, thanks for the games too.

Just amazing to say the least. I can't describe how I feel after that game. The most amazing thing I think I have ever watched in my life. What a feeling.

Gah I have a bad habit of posting the last post on a page ;)

Anyway, whats the best shipping price I can get on a package 27.5 pounds (I think)? Thanks Goomba. Good game btw, crazy!

I would gladly be an honorary Canadian :) Even though I was rooting for the USA team (have to in this case) I was really happy for the Canadian team winning it. The crowd was exploding when they got that final goal, outside in the streets people were going nuts and honestly it probably means 100x more to you guys than it does to the average American. It's the perfect way to end the Vancouver Olympics and you guys got the most gold medals in the end as well, so my hat's off to you :)

Haha yes Moses88, you do always somehow manage to get in your messages at the bottom. Sorry about that! Shipping would be $66 USD for that weight (all pounds are rounded up to the next whole pound with Priority Mail). Thanks!
The crowd was exploding when they got that final goal, outside in the streets people were going nuts
Hah, I went out driving/honking after the game. My favorite moment had to be over on Commercial Drive, some crazy (drunk?) guys out on the yellow line were trying to high-five cars that were passing by

Ha, I was actually freaking out when we won because I was driving and next thing I knew, 50 horns were blaring at me as I went through an intersection :p

I am a little disappointed how we decided to handle the closing ceremonies though -- I still think they should have let some of our local talent play instead of getting everyone from Toronto, or already popular BC stuff like Nickelback. It would have been a great platform for a lot of our local performers to get noticed (and they arn't any worse than the stuff playing now)

It's interesting to note that while Canada won the gold, the score between team US and Canada for this winter Olympics is tied at 1-1. I guess Canada having lost the earlier game to the US made a rematch this close in scores a lot more epic.

Hey goomba, my package came in today. That was really fast shipping! I left feedback and I'll be bringing you more business in the near future.

Hi Goomba,

Been a long time lurker of this thread, but now I finally have an opportunity to use your great service. :p

I am going to order one package from Amazon.com using the package-forwarding option since I have some gift cards I would like to use. However, I also want to order something else with the direct request form from Best Buy.
So I am looking to have both orders combined (Amazon + BB), should I just fill out 1 direct request form in this case or 2 separate ones?

You can use the same direct request form and just add multiple seperate items:

I actually sent in 2 separate requests, one for all the items I am forwarding from Amazon, and the other with all the other items that I need Goomba to order for me. Hopefully that didn't cause too much confusion. :S

It shouldn't overly matter each way. I missed the part that you were doing package forwarding (I was assuming you wern't gift carding the entire order).

It may help the confusion if you didn't mention that in the order notes, and it could actually be favored. ;) I don't think Goomba will throw you out of his castle.

P.S.: Goomb, I'm forwarding you an amazon GC to put into my account ($5) that I got from a friend.

From BB? Wouldn't happen to be the Star Trek Blu Ray seasons on sale now would it? =p

Goomba, I just sent you an email, take your time in getting back to me if you're still off your rockers busy =)

edit: your email address is bouncing back, has it changed? Just PM me if so

Hey guys :) Sorry I didn't write in yesterday. For some reason my email didn't notify me that there were any new posts here so I just assumed there weren't. I spent the good majority of yesterday packing and shipping items up and will do the same when I get home from work today (get home around 9 PM). The next two days I'll also be working my University job, picking up more UPS items and shipping a metric ton of boxes as well. GYROS will be updated again tonight around midnight-ish EST.

Leshita, you did good sending them as two separate orders (Direct Request & Package Forwarding). I will process both of those for you and will let you know when the items are in :) Thanks and welcome out of lurking mode!

gsrce, my Email shouldn't have changed. What Email are you using? Let me know =) I'll go check out your PM. Thanks!
Hope you can take care of my DR before the sale ends or stock runs out...
You can always just buy it and ship it to him if that's the case.

Goomba, I just resent the email. It may have just been a one time return, as it's the same email I've always used for ya =)

Edit: Looks like it went through this time =D

What if the store in question doesn't accept paypal, etc. I just prefer DR, it's simpler.

True.

I guess if you don't have a credit card as well that would make it much harder, lol.

Oh I do have a credit card. Have had the same one since 12 years now.

But it's no help when it doesn't link to the shipping address.

Goomba you should launch your own line of pre-paid credit cards ;)

Most merchants have a bill to, and ship to address.

I always just use bill to as mine, and ship to as his =)

Maybe some smaller sites don't do this, but most of the bigger ones like Amazon etc. do!

I see. Anyway the site I'm using right now can't handle Canadian credit cards.

Also one of the items I wanted is now sold out :(

=(
so when is anyone going to C-C-C-C-COMBO BREAK the jeffx/gsrce conversation of doom?
Probably whenever Goomba gets home from work. Who knows though, I figured Firestorm would have done it by now! =D

I blame it on game_fanatic, IT'S ALL HIS FAULT THIS HAPPENED!!!

I wonder, if I used an american credit card, and a different billing address... Would this solve 99% of the problems? Do most sites rage at people because the CC is CANADIAN?

If at any point true, you could have asked me :p I have access to american credit cards.

I want to thank you Goomba for your time. Sadly, the difference in price for your service and buying locally was literally less than a dollar. Shipping prices definitely killed the overall cost, didn't it?

Though next time I see something smaller (lighter) I shall seek your assistance.

Goomba, I know you don't have a lot of time to update the gyro's so I was just wondering if Darksiders had come in yet? Not asking for shipping date, just wondering if it arrived at your place yet. Thanks for sending Blazblue btw :D I'm sure it'll arrive soon.

C-C-C-C-Combo Breaker! Ultra Cooommmmmbbbooooo!

Gosh, Killer Instinct was my single-favorite arcade experience back in the day. I once (no lie) spent almost $100 USD in quarters at my mall playing that and beating it with all different characters. It had me mesmerized. I owned 3 copies of the SNES game and the Killer Kuts CD was pretty much the only thing I played when I got my first CD player lol. I even played it on X-Band (the SNES modem service) :) Good times. I'd LOVE to have those games ported to the Xbox 360 or PS3 some day and what I wouldn't do for a KI3....

Oh and by the way, they kept me late at work again today (not that I'm complaining, it was good money actually). I just spent almost 4 hours doing more invoicing and DR updates and it looks like I may be staying home tomorrow due to yet another snow storm. We'll see though.

I will go and see if I can process your orders that are time-limited and then I'm off to sleep.

spike32, it actually hasn't yet but I will keep an eye out. Typically takes about a week to get here, but it does seem a bit slower than usual for some reason. I'll keep you posted!

jonat2, very glad you got it :) Thanks a bunch!

dieN, no hard feelings. Shipping definitely kills many a deal. Especially when the items weigh more than 10 pounds shipped. It's all good though :) Hope to hear from you in the future for smaller/lighter orders!

jeffx, is the order you're referring to the goHastings games? If so, I processed those and ordered them as soon as you placed the order. When checking out they notified me that Nanostray was not actually New but rather used, but the others went through as NEW no problem. I got your payment and processed it immediately as I try to always do when you guys pay with the new system. So no worries :) Your order on GYROS was #984 just for the record. Let me know if you were referring to a different order though. Thanks!

Edit: I still ordered Nanostray anyhow figuring that you'd still want the game. Just to let you know.

LOL, Killer Instinct is a fantastic game to waste $100 on :applause: I spent quite a bit myself, the only place that had it though was the mall where my grandparent's cottage was so I'd spend half my time there. KI had such cool characters too like Jago, Fulgore, Glacius (cheap bastard), etc.

Guess all I can keep doing is playing the waiting game then, maybe i'll just play some Killer Instinct Gold ;) Definitely one of my fav n64 games.

Nanostray and Nanostray 2 = win

Thanks again Goomba, got back to you by email. Try to get some rest if you have a snow day later today =D

Great, I was getting worried you were MIA or something. That's probably why they went out of stock then ;)

Just so I know, in the future should I pay for it myself and have it sent to your address? Does that make it easier for you? Sure would have been less stressful for me.

jeffx, not to worry. I'm definitely not MIA :) I'm just working overtime in the background because I want to get working on the website more and haven't been able to for nearly 3 weeks because of this onslaught of orders all of a sudden =-) Every day it seems we're picking up new customers (which is ridiculously awesome!) but it also means I have to work twice as hard to catch up so I have down time to work on the site. It's not easy working on everything pretty much by yourself but I do feel productive ^_^

In the future it's totally up to you. Shipping to my UPS box means it's easier in the sense I don't have to actually order the items, though at the moment I only pick up these items about once a week (typically Thursdays). The trade off is you get peace of mind knowing the items are ordered and it's only a few more days waiting time on your end. As long as you follow the directions to the T (make sure to only have my name on the package) it'll work out fine 99% of the time. The only issues are some companies (RightStuf.com being one) where they don't ship if the names on the billing/shipping don't match or if the billing is Canadian and shipping is USA. But most big stores have no problem with it :)

Thanks again!

*keeping an eye on GYROS* I'm going to do a little dance once it says Lunar has shipped for me. I've been waiting so long but then who knew it was going to be delayed a couple times from early febuary to late febuary to march?

I almost can't wait to have it in my hot little hands xd
