GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items. This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

jeffx, yes I am talking about the Package Forwarding procedure on the link you listed (I will be making a more fleshed-out service for this on the site soon enough but for now those directions are completely valid and complete :)

I'm interesting in using GFC to order a pair of headphones, but i got a few questions first (I sent an email a few days, didn't get a response. Thought I would get a reply here). First, how do I let you know that I'm using the package forwarding service and sending the items to you? Also, once you do get the items and are ready to ship them, what other fees would I pay besides your fees and shipping. I'm talking about tax, and duties. Do you ship the items as gifts? The total price is around $200, if that would help any.
Thanks!

I can easily answer your questions. The forwarding procedure is here.

The tax & duties are "random" and you will have to pay them to Canada Post, not Goomba himself.

ihrm, I didn't get the Email (or if I did maybe it went to my Junk Mail...I'll go check( but for now here are your answers:

1) If you are using the package forwarding service follow the directions on here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . The instructions are pretty clear. They involve ordering the item and shipping to the address on that webpage and then filling out the DR classic form here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/dr-classic.php. Simple :)

2) There are no other fees for most items. Just pay the item price (some stores do charge 6% Sales Tax in my home state of CT, but if you pay for the item yourself that'll already be covered). Most items are shipped under customs values that won't accrue any additional customs fees. We ship USPS so again, generally speaking no other fees. Shipping insurance is available optionally but it's not required (costs $2.00 USD for each $100 USD of coverage).

3) I do mark items as gifts so no worries. If you want to insure for the full value then you may be required to pay customs fees. We can only insure up to the value listed on the customs form.

Any other questions let me know. Thanks!

jeffx, thanks for beating me to the punch :) While I was typing up my response you got yours in first. Looks like I may have to hire a second secretary ^_^ Thanks!

Thanks for the fast response, but I'm still a little confused. I understand about how to use the package forwarding service, but isn't the Direct Request Form used for bot of your services? How do you know that I am sending you the headphones? Or do i just have the whole thing wrong...

how about put 0$ under price and leave a note in the comments?

ihrm, yeah it's my fault for not realizing how popular the Package Forwarding thing would be. What you have to understand is GFC is really an evolving service and every day it's improving :) The form really wasn't developed for this service, but hopefully once I catch up on all current packages I can whip one up that better serves it.

But yes, you can just put the price in at $0.00 if you want or you can just put in the additional comments that it's a UPS Order/Package Forwarding item. Either way is fine :) The comments definitely help though. Thanks a bunch!

Saves me from the huge inflammation of shipping and UPS killing you with the brokerage fees. It was nearly double the price of the headphones to get them here. I don't really understand why every online store in the US uses UPS and not USPS. Hopefully this will cut back a lot on the price and let me order my adapter! \o/

** GFC Feature in Progress **

Just wanted to give you a real quick look at the "What People Ordered" featured section that will be on the site by the end of the month. I will be adding new photos daily (once the system is listed on the site). Here's a quick look at a few items. I didn't photograph as many items in the past, but now I'll photograph almost all of them. Enjoy the sneak peak:

http://picasaweb.google.com/goomba478/WhatPeopleOrdered#

ihrm, the reason most sites and companies use UPS is because they (unlike the USPS) give a lot of business discounts to companies that use them. If I use them for eBay in bulk they give me like 25% off shipping and I can only imagine larger companies get even bigger discounts. It doesn't make sense though for the customers like you to use UPS though as the brokerage fees are outrageous :) Glad to be of service!

I have one last question, I promise xD. The website I'm ordering from is telling me your phone number is invalid. Am I entering it right? 06-226-1100
Err that's not our phone number (that's our Zip Code). I will PM You my phone number :) Thanks.
Oh wow, that's embarrassing.... I thought that other number was the zip code. Thats the PO box, right?

Well it's not technically a PO Box, but it is a unit number associated with our account (a box number of sorts). So yes :)

Not a problem buddy. If you have any other questions let me know. I'm about to sit down, eat dinner with the wifey and watch yesterday's LOST episode =) Cya soon!

Yes adrianchan56, I think the Asian Family figures should be our new site mascots =) They are pretty interesting haha. That's why I think it's fun posting these photos. Some items we ship out are really truly unique. It goes to prove we don't just ship video games anymore.

It's a trap!
Haha that's actually very funny. I got the Email "It's a trap" and didn't know what it was referring to :) Well done sir.
Admiral Ackbar!

Goomba! There was something I wanted to order, but I completely forgot what it was. When I do remember get ready for a DR soon!
^.^

kgroat, okay well I'll be looking out for it. I'm going into packing mode now. I will try to process all new DR's from today and onward tomorrow after work (should be home around 6PM). Thanks for all your support guys. I'm quickly adapting to the newfound busyness and will get everything back up and running smoothly ^_^ I know I keep saying that but I keep increasing in business so it becomes increasingly more complicated lol.

Things will work out great :) They're already a lot better than they once were. Just have to establish everything in stone.

telepathy are you referring to the SHOJO BEAT? If so no worries, I typically don't add GYROS updates for Self Orders until I receive them. If you want I can go and add it to the list though :)

Since you didn't reply to my last email Goomba I'm assuming that means you're good with everything I mentioned in it, so just invoice me when you get the Amazon order in for shipping costs and we'll be good to go =D

yes i was. one of the other things that i self ordered was on the GYRO though so that's why i asked.

Well, okay fair enough :) I'll be the first to admit that I'm not always up to speed on my own policies. The reason is I haven't entirely figured out how to treat "Self Orders/UPS Orders/Package Forwarding Items" lol. I am not even sure what to really call them as of now. I usually use the GYROS system as a reminder for me to process items in the order I receive them, but sometimes I receive so many that I just list them when I can.

But you're right, in theory I should add them at the bottom in the blue letters and then add them above once they are upgraded to actual entries in my Quickbooks. This is more than likely the system I'll adopt ^_^ Still working out the system in real time hehe. I appreciate it though. I'll try to add in everyone's new orders to GYROS 100% of the time to fit my own sort of OCD-nature. Thanks again!

Last Rebellion just came in and has shipped out :) I just sent the EMail to you so hopefully you got that. I'll add it to the GYROS as well ^_^

You're very welcome. Also, if any of you took a peek at the GYROS in the last hour you may have noticed that I have shifted all yellow/red orders from February down to the March section now. This will be a thing I do so we can put February behind us :) The GYROS is really more about when an item ships out for which month it's categorized in, rather than when it was ordered. Hope that makes sense. Tons more orders being processed tomorrow. Thanks guys and good night ^_^

Guys I am at my University job until 6PM here (EST) and I can't respond to any of your Emails or new orders until later on but I'll do my best to reply to all your messages and ship out as many new orders as I can. GYROS will be updated until around midnight or so. Just had about 30 new packages come in so the majority of orders should be here now. Talk to you soon!

Can someone direct me to the GYROs? I looked over at the past few pages and haven't seen it. I must be blind or something.

EDIT: OHHH, they're on the site now? I havent' really dealed with goomba for quite some time. Now I know.

Haha yeah we have become all fancy-like now and have an actual GYROS webpage. Located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/gyros-updates.php

Sorry for any confusion ^_^ I guess I should have made that more clear for the newcomers. Sorry about that guys :) I'll be home processing new orders very soon. Looking forward to it. I had to make 4 trips to my car just to carry in all the packages lol. Lots of photos will be taken for the "What People Ordered" photo page =)

Put a link of it on your website or signature :D

Okay so I'm going through all the packages now. Just so you know, I have about 60 new Emails today with DR's/Questions so I may not get to all of them. I will do my best though. I have to get up early for the casino job tomorrow, but will spend as much time as humanly possible now. So just hang in there. Please limit the "Where is my order' Emails for now if you can. Either I have them and will update the GYROS tonight or I don't. If I do have them then as you know I ship them out in the order that I receive them or the order they were processed (usually a combination of both). Hang in there :) I'm catching up quickly. Thanks!

Sorry Goomba, I haven't been catching up on this thread until now. I just ordered directly from your site. I just realized the GYROs link now, and it answered my questions.

Oh not a problem PooPooRocket :) My comment wasn't marked towards you or anyone in particular. It's just that as a one-man-show every minute I spend answering Emails is a minute I could be spending packing your items ^_^ So while I don't really mind answering them, my customer base is now over 500+ customers so you can imagine how many Emails I get on a daily basis. It's just for those of you in the know to keep an eye on GYROS as I try to keep that as up to date as possible. I update it every day and when I ship items out, receive items or process new DR's I try to add them in near-real time. So just hang on there and I'll keep you posted as things change. THANKS ^_^

Again no hard feelings, you guys are like my second family =)
Indeed I did Pat_McCrotch. I'm packing your items as we speak :) Thanks!
And I noticed my headset shows as delivered today! Yay!
gsrce, you may want to take a look at the Picasa photo album ;)
Such beautiful packaging! =D

Can't wait! My last headset died on me months ago, have been waiting on these to come out!

Yeah seriously beautiful. When my wife opened it I was like "Wow, I had no idea it was such a nice headset!" The packaging definitely sold me!

Also, you guys will be happy to know I made a quick little signature banner with a link to the "What People Ordered" gallery. I will try to photograph items as soon as they come in so we can get a complete collection ^_^ For items on order that haven't been received I will likely use stock images and such to give you an idea. Thanks again!

I'm guessing those WoW headsets are yours, gratz :D !
Just downed 25 lk a few minutes ago lol @@;;

Can't wait for my BFBC2 to come in ;d

Hey Goomba, just so you don't miss me without knowing, I've got some contract work for Screwattack that I'm trying to surprise them with by getting it finished way before the deadline I gave them.

Coupled with the fact that I probably have the most extensive journalistic article I've ever written on gaming (It's quite literally about 45 pages with 18 chapters) -- Hopefully people will appreciate my work this time :p While I have no plans to make journalism a career, I have always wanted to do what Shipwreck does (reviews, podcasts, etc.) coupled with Jim Sterling (Opinion pieces, news journalism, podcasts, videos, etc). It has been my own little goal in life to get my online alias known on the internet, and to get respectable page views and comments. While my youtube endeavors were successful, that platform is too saturated. So, now I am trying elsewhere, and this time, a little more seriously.

While being piled upon that I kinda was lazy this week and didn't do any homework...

I may be a little less fielding then I was for about 2 weeks, but it seems you have a temporary secretary in the midst!

Hopefully you don't get overloaded too much in my absenteeism.

The guys from Screwattack are great. I got to meet them personally at the last Blizzcon. Been a fan of their videos for awhile...was unfortunate though when they had their big breakup a few years ago =(
