GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items. This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.
The guys from Screwattack are great. I got to meet them personally at the last Blizzcon. Been a fan of their videos for awhile...was unfortunate though when they had their big breakup a few years ago =(
Ha, yeah.

I didn't realize they were at BlizzCon... SHouldn't that mean they got Starcraft beta codes? :p

It's funny because most people wern't around when they had the big breakup, people just know it happened. I still remember the Screwattack Closet feature, which actually, I personally liked.

Craig is great and all -- lovely man, but the duo together definitely had some of the best chemistry ever. The current crew isn't bad, but the closet relationship that seems to click with Craig and Tom is now Chad and Craig in my opinion.

P.S.: Did I mention the article will take me about HALF A YEAR to release after it's written?

Heh I can see my game in the what people ordered page! (Which hopefully means it's shipped already even if it's Gyros status hasn't changed quite yet) Rock on!

Hey guys just got back from work and am at my grandparent's house for a last-minute unexpected un-planned family birthday party. I have to go to bed early today so I won't be doing a ton of invoicing but I will try to go and answer as many Emails and PMs as I can without being rude to the family :) Cya soon.

Rogan, that's FANTASTIC news for you. I'm so happy for you that everything is going great and that's really awesome news about Screw Attack. Best of luck to you :) I will just have to make due without my secretary hard at work for me on the forums haha. This weekend is busy with like 3-4 birthdays in my family but I'll try to lug my iPhone and Laptop around with me to answer things as they come in :)

Apollo, that's great ^_^ Glad it made it to you safely and quickly. Much appreciated!

Gold_Guardian, not all the games in the photos have shipped (I still process them in the order I receive them) but it will go out either tomorrow or Monday. I'll keep you posted. As mentioned, the GYROS page (generally) doesn't lie as far as shipping is concerned :) If it says it's shipped it has. If it says it hasn't then it hasn't. Status isn't 100% up to date but shipping is always accurate there. You will also receive Emails every time an item ships ^_^

Wizic, I'm eating now but I'll answer your PM first thing after I'm done :) Cya!

Wizic, yes I can bid on eBay items. I actually put in a proxy bid for your item but didn't bill you yet. Just let me know the max bid you want including shipping charged by the seller and then send that amount to me. We can work out the rest. Thanks!

My friend would like to put 80 bucks CAN for everything totaled, if possible.
So i do not know the actual max bid i should put, should i send the money right away first or what, please inform me thanks :D

It's best to send Goomba the monies up front for the auction. So if you win he can pay for it promptly. Of course if you win it cheaper than your max Goomba can refund your overpayment.

ragnar14 is correct. The normal way to do eBay items has always been:

1) Submit a Direct Request on the GFC website and let me know what you want to order.
2) Send the money to cover your Max Bid + Shipping from eBay Seller + GFC Service Charge + Shipping to Canada.
3) I will put in your Max bid into my sniping program which bids at the very end of the auction.
4) If you win then I'll pay for the item and ship it out as soon as it comes in. If you win it for less than your max bid I'll refund the difference. If we lose the item then I will refund you in full.

In the near future (mid April perhaps) I will actually have an eBay section on the website which will be specifically for eBay proxy bidding, but for now just use the DR system please. Thanks!

If you have yet to ship out my stuff yet Goomba, I'll add a direct request to it. It's something from Amazon.com shipped by them, so you should be able to get it quickly and not have to delay shipping out the other items you have for me.

Just let me know =)

Yeah I was going to ship out your items on Monday (since I work tomorrow morning and can't make it to the post office before they close at noon). If you want me to hold on till I receive your latest Amazon items that's fine :) Just let me know. Thanks!

Sure. I'll do the DR, and if it ships tomorrow, you should still be able to get everything out by the middle of the week, as you have Prime.

Thanks
telepathy, thanks for that. I've heard really good things about this game and for the limited edition that's a pretty sweet price :)
Yeah I figured as much. I actually kinda want one, but I haven't bothered w/a DR yet for it & somehow I doubt I'll get around 2 it lol. Still, excellent deal for anyone interested in shumps

I'd want Raiden IV LE too, except it's not available online you guys! So it's no help.

BTW Goombers I'd like you to make it very clear which websites you can get free shipping from, or you'd "rather" have us order from. I'm never all that certain whether or not you get free shipping from Gamestop, for instance.

Gamestop usually has some SAVER free shipping code. I think it might go down from time to time though? Not sure, I don't pay much attention to US coupon codes... Regardless, if it's not a superhot deal that'll sellout Goomba can just wander into his local Gamestop's at some time that's convenient for him. They do charge him tax though, and there is an outside chance that Goomba will only find gutted shelf copies (but he has a good eye for condition).

hey goomba,
I talk to the sell for shipping to canada and it would cost 20buck to ship it.
I dont know what's best @___@~~
um... should i bet it myself then~!?

Yoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.... Goombmeistro, curiously, is my package in one bubble mailer or two seperate ones? Should be receiving it this week and I'm just wondering how many post trucks/mailmen I got to wait for :p

Guys I just got back home from work for the first time since 9:00 Am today (Loooooong day). The good news is I'm off tomorrow entirely, and working just my University job Monday/Tuesday which gives me lots of time to play catch up. I have almost 50 new Direct Requests to process so that'll keep me busy, but I'll try my best to get all your info and answers to your questions.

wizic, in that case it may be actually better just to have them ship it to you directly since they charge so much for shipping to USA anyhow. My feelings won't be hurt :)

I will type up a list of free shipping and such for stores and tax in a second. It won't be a complete list but will give you a good idea.

** GFC Shipping / Tax Rates for Store & Website Purchases **

Okay guys, I get this question a lot so I will do my best to answer it as simply as possible. Below are many common stores people order from as well as the information about shipping/tax in relation to them. Here it goes. This isn't a complete list but if you want I can add information at any time and can attach it to the first post if you like (as well as on the website). Here it goes:

* Best Buy - Charges Shipping (generally $3.00 per item unless the item is available in my local store, then they let me pick up in the store for free). Charges 6% Sales tax on all items except for gift cards.

* Gamestop - Free Shipping for MOST items using the SAVER coupon code, though from time to time this is not available (for budget games or new releases at times). They charge 6% on all items except for gift cards.

* Amazon.com - Free Shipping on all items that are sold by Amazon.com themselves (not including marketplace sellers, third party sellers or affiliate sellers). I subscribe to Amazon Prime which gives 2-Day shipping on almost all games, movies, accessories, books, CDs, etc. If it's sold by Amazon typically I will get free shipping and no sales tax. There's a reason we do a lot of shopping here! ^_^

* Wal-Mart - Free Shipping for all items that can be delivered to a local store (Site-to-Store Shipping). This is extremely slow (2-3 weeks or more at times) but it is free in most cases. Good for online sales that are not sold in local stores around here even though it often takes a while. Wal-Mart is somewhat strict about ordering multiple copies of things though so if something goes on sale they have been known to cancel orders at their own whim. They charge 6% Sales tax on almost all items except gift cards. Clothes under $50 USD don't have any tax in my home state of CT.

* GoHastings.com - No Free Shipping. Typically charge $3.00-$7.00 for shipping which varies. Most items do not have sales tax.

* Target.com - No Free Shipping and 6% Sales Tax on all items except gift cards.

* Gamefly.com - Free Shipping and 6% Sales Tax on all items.

* Toys 'R Us - No Free Shipping and 6% Sales Tax on all items except gift cards.

* Clothing Stores (Various): Victoria's Secret, Gap, Old Navy, Express, etc. - Sales tax charged on all items over $50 USD in value. My state of Connecticut (CT) has no tax on items under this amount. Shipping varies based on stores but typically is between $5.00 - $7.00 per order.

If you have any other stores you want to add let me know :) Thanks!

Just got back home, ate dinner and am back to processing DR's. The good news is that the next 3 days I'm not working at my casino job which means no overtime to worry about. I will be shipping out a bunch of items (50+ this week alone) so keep an eye out for your Emails and GYROS updates, DR updates and such. Also, I will try to photograph 100% of the new orders I get in to make my "What People Ordered" Section interesting :) I'll keep you updated guys!

penetratingpincer, I will once I create a semi-complete list of stores. I want it to be a little nicer than just having a big thing of text (maybe an easy to read table or something). No worries. I'll do this soon enough. I'll at least tag this onto the first post in this thread in a spoiler tag now :) That should work for now.

Just do it as a spreadsheet, easiest way.

List of merchants on one row and list of shipping services on another.

You could have it up in half an hour...whenever you get half an hour to do something besides ship items, lol

'Lo Goomba. I noticed that your Direct Request robot-thing has had a few orders for Demon's Souls recently--where have they been getting it? I've been looking for a copy for around $40 for awhile now, but it's a tough game to find deals on. Cheapest I can find is from Amazon.com merchants which would come to about $45-$50 after shipment two times and service fee.

It's pretty hard to find this game below $50 brand new, even resale on used goes for $45 easy.

WillGabriel, the Robots thing (GYROS) features many different places. Some were from Amazon at Retail, others were from eBay and a few were used copies from Gamestop. But yes the price is almost always $45-$50 plus shipping so not many deals on this one sorry to say. Best of luck though!

Yeah absolutely Wizic. I just applied the money to your GFC account so it's there waiting for you whenever you're ready. No worries :) Thanks again.

Goomba, Last Rebellion just came in today, thanks. Too bad I won't play it probably for awhile only cause I'll be playing FFXIII & doing lots of HW in the meantime lol.

(& as always, appreciate the "thank you for your business" note you leave in every package).

Rogan & telepathy, I'm so happy both your packages arrived :) I really do appreciate your orders and my only regret at this moment is that I don't have a full staff processing orders 24/7 :) Maybe someday! In one month from now though I will be working almost full-time on these orders so as long as they keep up the way they've been going this should equate to faster service for you guys and all around better service. Thanks again!

You need to hit up the malls around the holidays and pick up some elves to help you out during the other 10 months of the year they aren't busy working for the fat man! =D

I wanted to check with you, think you'll still be able to have my stuff out this week? Has Amazon shipped you the direct request item yet?

Wondering if my item has been received/sent out yet (#981) :D typically how long is the delivery from Connecticut to Ontario if anyone knows?

At this time of the year, a weekish.

Myv, I haven't received your item yet but it's possible it may be coming in tomorrow (Tuesdays seem to be the day the most packages come in for some reason) so I will keep you posted through GYROS/Email.

gsrce, I am going to my UPS store tomorrow so I'm expecting your item should be there as well. Keep you posted!

wahhahahaa thanks~~
this actually looks like a better buy than the game sosad.
i dont think i will be getting the game yet, yakuza3 seems to be a better investment.

Hey Goomba, is the order #954 going through okay? I see that #957, the guy that ordered the same thing, had "item unavailable".
