GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items. This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

Same sentiment as Gombay, hope all is well for you in the end. Remember, everything is experience and would only grow you into a better person. :)

Damn son = / either the tax man caught up with you or you broke something big. Hopefully everything works out! Wishing you the best man!

Okay here's what happened in a nutshell. I'm such a moron, and you'll see why: You guys know how I dealt in the NAPT Poker tournament for 3 weeks? I worked nearly non-stop every day without days off, I got behind on my University work, my house work and of course my GFC orders. I poured my time, heart, energy and soul into it knowing that it'd pay off...and it did, big time.

I picked up my tournament tips today and they paid me...get this...$2460 USD in CASH. They had it in an envelope. I just had to sign for it, and bingo it was mine. I folded it, put it in my pocket and went straight to the bus to head back to my car. I got to my car, went home and that's when it hit me.........the envelope.....was gone.

I freaked out. I live only a mile away from the casino so I drove back like a madman, retraced every step I took. Called security, asked the dealers that were there, the cashiers and the bus drivers. I checked EVERYWHERE and even made a statement with the police. They checked all the footage on the cameras and saw me get the money and walk down the hall but never saw it fall out of my pocket. I honestly don't know what happened. I was expecting like $800 for my efforts and got 3x that. I was literally overjoyed and SO happy ... this was the money for my car, my rent, my wife's trip back to the USA, our hotel and everything. I was ridiculously happy.

Then I got home, found the money was gone and I went 100% in the opposite direction. I'm a mess right now :( I don't know how I'm going to begin to tell my wife. She loves me to death but she's not going to understand. Either I was an idiot and dropped it or someone pickpocketed me (I don't believe that's the case).

The crazy thing is the envelope with the $2400 cash has my name and employee number on it. So if anyone did find it, they'd know it was mine but it's VERY unlikely that anyone will turn in that much money. I wouldn't do it but we all know most people if they can get that much cash for free without being caught would do so. I pray the person is honest and turns in even part of it. I just don't know what I'm going to do though guys.

Pray for me please. I've never been so confused and heartbroken in all my life :(

Sorry to hear about that.

I wish you the best of luck with your situation and pray it works out and someone returns it, or it was simply just misplaced.

Take care!

Really sorry to hear that Goomba :( I hope it does work out. Unfortunately, this WILL affect the GFC service if your wife literally kills you :) Sounds very ominous though, you don't even seem completely sure of it yourself, and I sincerely hope it ends up that way!

I sent your personal account $20. $7.50 for a package forwarding order I already placed (472954119), which the weight SHOULD be 11 ounces.

Also, another $9.50 for an order I WILL be placing involving 2 preorder games releasing a week apart that I'd just like you to treat as one package. I assume I did the math right there... you give the weight for one game up to 6 ounces so I assume 2 games is up to 12 ounces. It will probably be less, but I assume $4.50 for shipping nonetheless. $1 x 2 for you to pick up both packages from UPS makes $6.50. And $2 for the first game + $1 for the 2nd game is your fee, I believe, totalling $9.50 correct?

So all in all I came up with $17, but I sent $20 anyways to make sure that just in case I DID make any error, there are no delays. It sounds like you're really on top of this whole pre-paid account credit thing, so I hope when my shipments come in you know to check THAT rather than look frivolously for some order-specific payments. My past experience with you though is that you are one heck of an organized guy, Only reason I say anything at all is because I know I probably wouldn't be so capable. Kudos....

And again, I'm really sorry to hear about this problem you've run into. I hope that money turns up...

Goomba, I feel a little bad about giving you a hard time about my order in a previous post now. I just be a little more patient.

Hope all goes well for you, sincerely.

Don't worry guys. If anyone can make lemons out of lemonade it's me. It's just it really comes at the WORST possible time when my wife is away, all the bills are coming in and I was just SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy with the amount of money that my heart skipped a beat and then it all came crashing down so hard. I'm probably going to end up selling a lot of my personal games and systems and things to make it up. I'm going to have to tell my wife eventually, but I'm just praying by some SLIGHT chance somehow it turns up somewhere or someone turns it in and does the right thing. In any case I'm going to have to work 10x harder on GFC and eBay. Wish me luck !

Damn, hopefully you find it Goomba or at least it shows up somewhere. Could it have fallen when you were on the bus? I checked out the GYROs and never knew you were handling so many orders so I'm sure everybody here appreciates the effort you put forth on your service greatly. Without you, there would be no way for any of us to get most of these things.

At first I thought it was medical/health scare. At least you have your health, family, and GFC supporters. In the end of the day, its just money, albeit a lot of money, but it can be recouped.

I am off to bed now guys. Thanks for your support and best wishes. It really does mean a lot to me. Today was a rollercoaster of emotions and probably the hardest and most physically challenging days I've had in ages. I'm hoping for the best but planning for the worst. Of course I will be doing my best to process all new orders tomorrow and keep up with existing ones. We'll get through this financial disaster together.

Stay strong and keep in touch my friends =) I'm happy to know all of you!

Oh man, I am so sorry to hear that! Goomba, you need the money right now, so I would like to lend you some if you accept the offer, just let me know.

Damn, it breaks my heart when such shit happens to a nice guy like you who is literally busting his dick at work.

She'll understand dude. Even if the money doesn't turn up right away, hopefully someone out there has the heart to get in contact with you! Good luck man!

Dude, she's your wife, she'll understand. But yeah this is such a major bummer!!! Wow, I would be destroying entire neighborhoods Godzilla-style, if I lost 2600$.

I've only used Goomba's service once so far (soon to be twice), but I've been very impressed with his customer service skills and his patience, and I've enjoyed some substantial savings because of the service he offers.

I'm sending $10 via Paypal to help with this unfortunate situation, and I'm throwing this down as a challenge to others who have saved some major coinage thanks to Goomba. I know that everyone's financial situation is different, so if you can afford more, less, or nothing, so be it. Penny Arcade's Child's Play has proven that we gamers and internet geeks have big hearts, so let's help one of our brothers out. And hey, the CDN$ is strong right now! ;)

On a personal note, if your wife is anything like mine, she'll help you through this kind of stressful situation, not add to it. Wives are great that way, I highly recommend them!

Setite, yeah it really does stink but you know I'm just going to have to learn a major lesson from all of this: Don't use cargo pants when carrying a lot of money, always put it in your wallet (I didn't because I didn't want to pull out $2400 in front of everyone on the floor, but in retrospect I wish I had) and of course always use zippers or something that can fasten the money and envelope in. Thanks for your sentiments though!

Uncooked & jeffx, as much as I love my wife I know she's going to chew me out for this one. She may come around to understanding in time, but she's still not going to let it go anytime soon :) Trust me on this. She won't really kill me of course but I can guarantee I'm going to get an earful. I do hope someone will turn in at least some of it, but as the cops told me, it's very unlikely with that much cash.

Talula123, that's REALLY generous of you and I thank you. I normally wouldn't accept the money but right now I'm really in need so I appreciate your offer. Thanks a bunch man, I only hope that your good will brings you back ten times as much =) Thanks buddy. You put the first smile on my face all day.

If there is one thing you could say that could convince my sister that you are trustworthy to do business with, what would it be? I have many things I'd like to buy from the states, and so does she. I figured she'd have second thoughts on sending a stranger some money via paypal and trust that they'll order whatever it is and ship it over to us. I'd order it myself, but I don't have any sort of income nor a credit card.

So if there is one thing (or more) that you could say to convince her, what would it be?

Hope that $2600 appears outta nowhere for you, that really sucks.. disappearing money is totally not cool

X12, I don't know if there's one thing but you could show her my GYROS page of all the orders we've filled in the last six months or the "What People Ordered" gallery :) There's also my CAG Feedback Page, my eBay feedback Page, the reviews of me on RFD as well. Lots of good feedback for GFC. We're not perfect but we do pour our heart into making the service work :)

And for the record I ONLY lost $2400 haha... I say only, but hey, $200 is $200 =P

I'll follow suit and take up the challenge too. I've sent a little something to Goomba as well. It's not much but hope it helps out.

I do hope that some honest person finds the envelope and finds some way to return it.

penetratingpincer, thank you SO much. I really wasn't asking for any money or anything. I'm not one to beg for hand-outs but I really, really appreciate it. You guys really are the best =) I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

** GFC Recovery Effort (A Couple of Ideas) **

Hey guys, you may have heard that I had a really rough day yesterday. I'm going to be doing my best to work as hard as possible to make the money back and so I'm going to be doing a few things to try and earn as much as possible in the next two weeks before my wife gets back to the USA. Some things I'm considering are:

1) A massive lowball sale with lots of really great games, many new. I realize my last Lowball took a few weeks to get the games out and this one would probably be similar (just telling you up front) but I assure you there are some great deals in there and with the number of items I have I really think I could raise quite a bit.

2) A system sell off of many rare and special systems: Limited Edition DS systems (brand new), A MGS Limited Gunmetal PS3 w/ LE MGS4 (Brand New), my Sony PSP 2000 in near mint condition, my Mac Mini (2 years old but runs great), my Nintendo DSi (blue) and many more. I'm not sure if I should sell these on eBay or via Lowball, but I will be selling a lot of these to raise money ASAP.

3) I am trying to come up with a way you guys can buy Service Charge Credits up front at a discount. So for instance, if you know you will be ordering from me again in the near future then I would be able to sell you Credits at a discount. Say for instance if you sent me $10 then I could give you an extra 25% bonus in Service Charge credit. So when you order with me, the invoice would show the regular service charge but your credit on file would be multiplied. I couldn't give you straight GFC credit since that credit is used to buy things and I simply don't have the money right now, but if I did it towards the Service Charge then it'd just come out of my profit, and you'd be helping me raise the money now when I really need it.

These are just a few ideas of mine. If you have any more let me know ... I'm all ears. I just wanted to say too that I appreciate those of you who sent or lent me money. You guys have hearts of gold and I'll do whatever I can to make it up to you. GFC isn't going anywhere and despite this tragic $2400 loss, we're going to bounce back. Thanks again!

Hey Goomba, I really need to know if you can check on my order. It was ordered on April 2, almost 3 weeks ago, yet GYROS still indicates:

#1063 / 533212753 - Canon EW-78E Lens Hood - Paid. Item Ordered. Waiting for Item.

The item is supposedly in stock when ordered, and is still in stock. I really need this item before the next weekend. Thank you.

I will go through all the packages when I get home today PooPooRocket (should be home promptly at 6PM). I'm going to be working until 2 or 3 AM today again so no worries. It did say it was in stock but for some reason it hadn't come in. I do have about 30 new packages in today so hopefully it's in there. I will update you tonight ^_^ PROMISE!

** GFC UPDATE **

Just letting you guys know, it's thundering here at my University so I'm going to stick around a little while after my shift and just process orders until it dies down a bit outside (supposed to last about an hour). I've cut down on the PF orders about 60% now and logged many of them and tonight I'll focus on shipping the PF orders that are in and the DR's that are in and need to ship out. Tomorrow and the weekend I'll focus on manually invoicing the DR's and then we'll be all caught up.

This weekend and throughout the next two weeks I'll be selling a LOT of my personal goods to regain my lost funds from my blunder yesterday and then we should be back where we were at the beginning of the year again. Caught up :)

I think EBAY usually nets higher price, when I look at EBAY I really don't see any good deals 95% of the time tbqh, but people on there are still willing to bid on used items even if its to save like a few dollars off retail. I've never sold anything on EBAY though so I don't really know the listing fees and such. I definitely think the service charge up front would help a bit, but it should apply only to paypal payments, I think :?:

Also I'm thinking of adding something else to my order it'll probably be about 1.20~ pounds altogether, do I submit another request and stating to add onto my pending order and pay the difference for shipping fee($3.50?) + service charge($1.00?). And what's the likelihood of being charged brokerage/customs/tax/etc. if order is $110 and 1.20~ pounds altogether? Thanks

eBay does typically run within 90% of MSRP or Fair Market value but they also have 12-20% fees on top of the Paypal fees. So a $1000 item, I'm losing as much as 30% in fees (not to count shipping and all that). So it is sort of a good thing to get high value, but with a Lowball I don't lose almost anything to fees. So I'll have to think about it :)

I'll help my own way, by bidding on many items in your upcoming lowball and also placing quite a few orders in May.

However I'd prefer a CAG-style lowball for your non-mainstream items, if you know what I mean.

Goomba, I accidentally shipped something to your GFC address because it was saved in my ebay account. It was only like $2 so I'm just going to let you keep it because it will be cheaper to just buy another. It's one of these...

GoomBOOM what happens if I want you to order this? Could you possibly "buy back" that 20$ from me? Also I still have 22$ on credit with you... how do I "use" those?

Someone already took the offer, it's restricted to one per address. I think Goomba said you can try it with your own account and send it to the package forward, but its YMMV though.

you dont have to use GFC, it ships to Canada

Porumy, I PM'd you with the address I have on file. Let me know if that's the correct one.

jeffx, I appreciate it. I'm actually considering to do a standard dv8mad Lowball auction since they seem to be more popular, even if I do like my automated system :) and yes someone has already claimed the $20 gift card for the Mario Galaxy 2. Sorry ^_^;;

Gombay, thanks :) I'll be happy to have one of those little things. I used to use them back in the day when I did video and audio editing. Pretty neat. Appreciate it.

helluvagood, yes you're right. Either ship to me or you can probably just have them ship to you for that. With the sale and the gift card it makes it a good deal in the end I think :)

I'm home now. It's 9:09 PM (I was hoping to get back at 6:00 but my cousins after hearing what happened to me yesterday decided to take me out to eat Mexican food which was nice of them, so I'm home a bit later than expected). The good news is that I called my wife and told her everything and to my shock, she wasn't upset with me. I don't know how you guys knew that she'd be understanding (because normally if I lost even $20 she'd be yelling at me for days) but in this case, maybe the 6000+ miles apart helped. Whatever it is, that's a huge burden off my back and I'm glad to have such an understanding (in this case anyhow) wife.

I also want to send a shout out to all of you who sent me thoughtful Emails and donations. You really made my day and I really, really appreciate all of your sentiments. I'm going to be spending the next 5-6 hours processing your orders and get this train-a-rollin' :) Thanks again for being such good friends!
you dont have to use GFC, it ships to Canada
right but with 12$ shipping and 8$ border fees... might as well buy it from amazon.ca then!

Goombaaaa! Sorry to hear about the whole incident. =( If you haven't shipped my Persona (PSP) game, then I would like to give it to you to use for your Lowball sale. I think it will be put to better use that way mostly since I just recently bought a PSPGo and gave my PSP to my sister. Haha, so I won't have much use for it. =) (That and it's been so long I somewhat forgot about it...) Hope the rest of your week gets better though!!

Alright, so I'm gonna do the Package Forwarding for Amazon, but there are a couple of problems.

Amazon doesn't like the "W" in your street address, Goomb. It wants: "1601 MAIN ST" alone. Also, what should I enter under Phone Number?

I'll send the DR when you confirm this.

Does anyone know how this works out ? Since the promotion is "Limit of both one per household and one per customer." Since Goomba ordered one for his account and if you order it for your own, will both be credited? I'd like to do so if it is, want a confirmation ;D

Well I'm paying with my own credit card and using my own Amazon account. It said "congratulations you qualify for the 20$..." thingy, to be sent 2 days after shipping.

Hey guys, just stopping in. For some reason it didn't notify me to let me know there were new posts here. Let me write back to some of your comments:

Ginx, wow that's ultra-generous of you. I am going to take you up on your offer since it actually just came in and I was getting it ready to go out. Thanks so much. Let me know what you think about the PSP Go. I know a lot of people slammed it, but it actually looked pretty nice when I saw it in the Sony Store. Thanks again!

jeffx, yeah some websites don't like the W. You can try spelling it out as "West" but if that doesn't work you can drop the W altogether. It doesn't really matter as the address is unique enough to get to me even without the W. Though the street is technically West Main Street :) Thanks again.

Myv, they claim it's one per user/household but I find many times as long as the names and credit cards are different, it still works. It's worth a shot. The worst they can do is just cancel the order I suppose.

PooPooRocket, I haven't found it yet but I still have about 20 more boxes to go through. I will let you know if and when it comes in. Thanks!

PooPooRocket, I just checked with Adorama Camera and your camera Lens Hood is in my town now but has not been delivered, which means more than likely it should be here tomorrow :) I will of course keep you posted. No need for you to check in, I'll tell you as soon as it's delivered and will Email you when it ships out. Thanks buddy!

** Keep in mind that new orders are constantly coming in, so I am actually processing more than it would appear based on numbers alone ^_^ **

Currently Working: 4/22/2010 = (9PM-3AM EST).
Orders to Process: 96 TOTAL (74 DR's [All Pre-Paid Orders have been processed] & 22 Package Forwarding Orders)

I will update GYROS as I go along and will answer Emails when I have time. Thanks guys!

Oh and please remember if you pre-pay your item as soon as you request it your order will be processed right away. For time-sensitive orders either choose this method or the Package Forwarding method if you are able to do so. All other orders will be treated as "estimate inquiries" and will be processed when we have time to do so, in the order that we receive them. Thanks! Back to work now ^_^

I am off to bed now guys. Busy day again tomorrow (working at the casino from 1PM-9PM where I will more than likely be both a sympathetic character and made a laughing stock simultaneously). I will do my best to get as many orders done this weekend as possible. We have now whittled the list of DR/PF orders down to less than 100 :) Woo Hoo! Keep in mind that the 74 DR's are mostly estimate orders so really it's more the 22 PF's that I'm concerned with. Saturday I have off completely so I'll be working to play catch up :) Things are looking up.

I just wanted to thank you once again for your kindness, your friendship and your generosity during my hard times. You guys are the greatest and I do this business out of my appreciation of all of you :) See you tomorrow!
