GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items. This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.
I spent about 3 hours yesterday going over "What Ifs" and the bankruptcy option makes the most sense. Here's a reason why:

Right now I make roughly $4000 a month between my 2.5 jobs and my wife's 1 job. This means that month to month, we make a decent amount of money as far as I'm concerned. The problem is this: $2500 a month goes towards cars/credit cards (more than half our income), about $1000 towards rent which only leaves $500 for food, phone, utilities, gas, insurance, etc. etc.

So out of $4000 a month we take home less than $500 a month for actual expenses outside of our debt. That's ridiculously when you think about it. If we keep our cars and our apartment, which I hope to, then that means we spend less than $1800 a month towards those things which frees approximately $2200 a month for expenses.

So bankruptcy means my credit will be crap for up to 7 years, but if I have an extra $1700 a month for 7 years that totals $142,800 USD.... a LOT of money. If I continue to pay the credit cards, chances are I'll still owe a ton of money in 7 years and still have nothing to show for it. It doesn't make sense.

I avoid bankruptcy this long for not wanting to be bankrupt, but realistically it makes no sense not to at this point. If I'm able to do it, then I'll try to avoid all but the necessary forms of credit and will stick to savings accounts, debit cards and things that don't require us paying interest. Period.

Oh and also, without the $2000 a month going towards credit cards, I can pay off our two cars within 1.5-2 years and then have 0 debt by 2013. Sounds good to me =P I want nothing more than to be completely debt free.
WoW reading through the amount of stress, hardship u have to go through its easy to realize how easy most people have it.Working 2 and a half jobs thts just a feat by itself ur a hard working guy goomba hope all of ur financial woes come to an end soon because seeing as to how much effort u've put into it u deserve to :applause:

tkszeto, that's incredible! I had a little toy train as a kid but it didn't have anything on that killer setup ^_^ Great job! I'm so happy that I was able to contribute to your collection :) I love it! Thanks for sharing, that's really, really awesome!

TKO, yeah it's hard working multiple jobs and having almost nothing to show for it. I'll get it worked out :) Thanks again.

Hey Goomba,

Just wondering if you're shipping the DR's before the PF's or something. For instance, I know the following two PF orders (#1170 / 466177785 and #1171 / 1441987371) were both delivered to your UPS box on May 1st, about 3 and a half weeks ago, but Gyros says you're still waiting for the item (which seems odd if you check your UPS box once or twice a week, and I noticed a lot of orders placed after mine that DON'T seem to be PF's have been shipped long before mine. Also, PF order
(#1236 / 1846839085) still says you're waiting for the items despite being delivered on the 7th and 10th.

Those are orders that are the ones that seem late to an odd degree, but you should have also received 6 PS3 games directly to your actual address, 3 on the 17th and 3 on the 20th. Also, perhaps you haven't received them yet, but PF order (#1175 / 1639147603) arrived on the 18th (to be delivered in 2 orders) and PF order (#1245 / 88609367) on the 22nd.

Just worried I haven't heard anything at all, please give an update.

Gosh, remind me never to use UPS for international shipping ever again. I'm STILL trying to ship that car part that USPS said was .5 inches too long to ship. All together it's taken me around 7 hours to ship this one item. It's insane the number of forms UPS requires. What a headache =P

Of course, as you're not a Canadian, you wouldn't know that UPS and Fedex should never be used to ship anything to Canada from the U.S. or vice versa =p

This is something I learned very young...it's something that should be taught on Sesame Street. (Except they canceled the Canadian Sesame Street years ago ;_;)

Glad to hear you're finally finished with that order though. Hopefully in future people will stick to more reasonable items =D

Ugh, UPS sends chills down my spine. After all those horror stories about trying to go cheap on UPS have taught me to NEVER use UPS for cheap border shipping. Only the ones that don't charge brokerage are acceptable.

$40 brokerage fee on a $20 item? Haha funny UPS. You can suck it.

emjaymj, it totally depends on when I receive the items or when they are delivered to me (not always the same thing as USPS and UPS sometimes hold packages). Also, I tend to try and ship large items (ones that take up a lot of physical space) ASAP as I have limited space in the house/office.

I just shipped out all my Lowball items, so that's a big hurdle and tomorrow should be the end of my UPS drama with the huge car package. In addition to having our Paypal restored, we will be processing as many orders as possible and Thursday I'll be working home all day/afternoon too as I can't go to work due to my meeting with the bankruptcy attorney. We're catching up :)

As for all of you guys who ordered "Super Mario Galaxy 2" for Package Forwarding, my next pick up day will be Wednesday. So I won't have them until then. If you've already paid for shipping I should have them out Thursday or Friday. Otherwise it may take a day or two longer to invoice you as I am receiving a ton of copies. Thanks!

I caught up with all the lowballs though which is a huge thing for me :) Takes a lot more time than you'd think when you have to juggle so many different orders, Emails and payments and such. Working on catching up throughout the week. Off to bed now as I have to work early in the morning. Hoping to get some hours as I haven't gotten many at the casino lately =O Wish me luck!

sinath, I can invoice you today. Did you send a Direct Request Classic form yet? Make sure to mark it as "Not a Package Forwarding Order". Thanks!

Hey Goomba, just wondering about my order #1201 / 2097096252. I paid back on May 3. Have you just not been to the PO or do amazon orders actually take that long?

amazon orders usually take a couple of days. I'm in the same situation paid same time you did but am still waiting.

That train set looks really amazing. I had a Mickey Mouse train set as a kid but it was just one you built on the floor. Really excellent job on setting that whole thing up.

Anyways, to those asking about Super Mario Galaxy 2 it depends where you ordered it from. I ordered mine through Amazon.com and it was sent out yesterday. It is still in transit so hopefully it gets to Goomba soon.

Oh well at least Amazon.ca sent out my Dragon Box 3 on Friday and I got it today in the mail. Its ridiculous how long it took them to get it when it was released in the U.S. on May 11th or something. I still don't understand the delay for Canada since we always get DVDs the same day as the U.S. and same with the Dragon Box's and Dragon Ball seasons sets etc. Yet nobody in Canada got the Dragon Box 3 it seems except for Amazon.ca

Well at least they had a better price then in the U.S. which is rare =D!

Hey, Goomba. Just wondering if you had received the $10 off coupon from gamestop as part of the pre-order bonus for Red Dead Redemption.

Hello Goomba, just wanna confirm you changed my call of duty black ops pre order from 360 to ps3?

Just asking because in the gyros it still says xbox 360.

thanks in advance

Glad you guys like the set-up. I'd say at least half of the buildings I got from using goomba's services. And now that my son is happy with his trains, I can start saving for video games for me :)

Guys I'm still shipping out a ton of items in the order I receive them. So even if you put your order in a week ago, I am still trying my best to get the older items out first. I'll catch up to the newer ones very soon. I'm spending another 3 hours shipping today, another 7 hours tomorrow and almost all day Thursday. The good news is all the super big/super heavy items have been shipped so most items are simple: games, cds, DVDs and the occasional slightly larger item here and there. Forgive me for not having time to write back to all your Emails. Shipping out the orders is my priority. I'll catch up as soon as I can then I will be able to take new orders, answer questions about the service, etc. Thanks!

Lucas u should scroll back a couple of pages b4 double posting :|

I know your busy goomba, but i'm curious about order #1198. its an ebay item that ended weeks ago. Your gyro update still mentions that your waiting for the auction to end. I'm curious if you won and if its been shipped to you?

Sorry to bug you again Gommba, but can you switch my call of duty black ops order back to xbox 360. Seeing as my ps3 just broke.

Sorry for the trouble. I promise after this i wont bug you.

Again: GYROS are only updated for the items I have opened. Here's the thing: I have about .... maybe 60 packages unopened or opened and not sorted. So what I'm doing is opening them one by one, and packing and shipping them out. Then updating the GYROS for that particular item. The reason for this is simple: I have to get as many items out as possible, and once I catch up to all the items then GYROS will be 100% :) If I simply go through and tally what I have and then ship them out, it makes the process significantly slower. Once I catch up to all the orders then I will resume the normal DR service and we won't have a backlog. Until then though, I'm just going to chug away for hours each day shipping out as many as possible. Once I verify that your item is in, I will ship it out immediately OR if shipping is due I will invoice you for the difference.

Those of you who asked about specific orders here I will try to hunt your items down and ship them out tonight. Thanks!

I will stay a couple more hours. Going to try to ship out all Super Street Fighter IV copies, Final Fantasy XIII's, Bayonetta's & Red Dead Redemptions. Quite a few to go through :) Tomorrow will be a Super Mario Galaxy 2 Day I believe ^_^

sent one thanks goomba

At work now. I'm going to try to send some responses to Emails and some invoices for Direct Requests. Keep in mind new DR's are not my priority now, but I will do my best to get back to as many as I can. Also, I just made my weekly UPS pickup and there were around 30 packages or so. I will go through them later tonight and will process all tonight and almost all day tomorrow as well. Lots of small items to ship, which is where I really excel :)

I will be doing both today and tomorrow penetratingpincer :) If you like I can post my Whirlwind stats today. I've been just focusing on getting as many items out as possible as they all tend to come in at the same time. A lot of my older items have been shipping out now and those were backlogged mostly for other reasons (payments not received, additional shipping needed, etc.) which isn't much of an issue with single games and such.

I haven't used your service, and this is a bit off topic, but wouldn't a bankruptcy claim also mean repossession of your cars?

Also to be a bit more on-topic, how much shipping and handling am I expected to incur if I buy 1 game from Amazon, wait for coupon, and then buy a 2nd game from Amazon, and then get both shipped together?

I'm just curious how backlogged you are at this point.

crimsona, thanks for your input. Actually no, there are laws in the US (or at least in my state of Connecticut) that allow you to keep your cars and other personal property since you need to have a car to continue to work and such. I'm meeting with an attorney tomorrow to make sure of this, but as I understand it I can continue to make my car payments and cancel off the unsecured debt (credit cards).

As for your on topic question, shipping is usually $3.00 for games and $5.50 for two games. Service charge for one game is $2.00 and for two games is $3.00. Hope that makes sense :) Thanks!

penetratingpincer, I have added your order to my GYROS list and it should be processed today or tomorrow. "Backlog" is just a convenient term. It's not really the most accurate word to use as many orders I'm waiting for payments, for the items, etc. I'd say I have about 30 orders or so that are truly backlogged...these should be really taken care of within a week or less as I'm working full time on getting them out. Most order backlogs have to do with a ton of items coming in at once and often require special attention for larger orders. The car parts I shipped out this week took almost 10 hours in total for ONE package which means that time was taken away from other orders. So it's something I'm working on right now :).

Just got my games today. Thanks a lot and that note is a good reminder to make things a million times easier next time. :D Sorry for the trouble though.

BTW the games were hot. Stupid hot Canadian weather making my mailbox overheat.
