GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items. This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

** Still shipping a 50 item+ / $7000+ Order. I think it's safe to say this is the new record to beat folks! **

Glad people are finding so much value in my service :) Can't wait though till I have a bigger work space!

My order #1461112552 from almost two weeks ago is still missing on the GYROS page.

Order #1455010369 from July 15 is also missing, but I sent you an email about that (the whole bag of crap situation) and have not received ANY response from you :/

Don't mean to be pushy but I've brought this stuff up already so I'm getting a bit concerned.

Hey goomba,

Regarding Order 1306:

I was just wondering on the status of this item? Did Amazon mess up something bad? It's really strange that you haven't received the item by now since it was ordered in June. It's been 3 weeks now. Just let me know if there are any updates. Thanks!

emjaymj, don't worry I just have been listing items on the GYROS as I receive them. I received about 90 boxes in the last 3 days and went through only about half of them. I should be all caught up on GYROS after tomorrow night :) I got your Email and know of your orders, so no worries. I received your Woot package as well and haven't opened it as you requested. Just organizing the rest. Thanks!

constellation, yeah for some reason items ordered the last week of June or so were delayed. The good news is a BUNCH of them just came in this past weekend and I'm sorting them all. I'll have GYROS updated nearly completely by tomorrow as I go through the rest of the boxes. I'm going to spend all day Thursday shipping out items and taking the day off from work, so we'll catch up a bunch then. Sorry for the delays though, I never want you guys to be waiting or in the dark. It happens though from time to time with shipping unfortunately, just the nature of the business I guess. Talk to you soon!

Thanks, great to hear. Sounds like you have a TON on your plate heh.

Also, I know the clipper order is large, but it's actually not for me and I already ended up going a BIT over that person's budget. Anything you can do to avoid paying taxes (which would be like another $50) would be fantastic. Clippers could just as easily be cheap, but if you feel like you need to split the clippers and the trimmer into two orders in order to do so, that's fine too.

I miss the good ol' days where everything was lightning quick, but I'm really happy for you that G4C is picking up :)

:( Things will get quicker once I do this as an actual job. Once I move into my new place and come April then I will have no more day job, so GFC will be all that I have. I'm also working to train my wife on a new system so she can actually work for me as well. It's a while away but it's coming! Just way too many newcomers who don't know the system yet so I spend 60% of the time Emailing and explaining things. Once I have time I'll make the site easier to understand with video tutorials and what not. Too hard though when you're the only one running things. Talk to you soon I'm off to bed!

Excellent idea :)

I ran a little Internet business in the past that was service-based as well and efficiency was absolutely the key to making it viable. I had actually joined a friend as a partner who is very business-minded but the way he was running everything required him to interact with people WAY too much and basically hold their hand through the entire process.

It was absolutely insane from my perspective, but being a bit more technologically inclined, I made a PDF instruction file with informative screenshots and it made everything wayyyy easier, spending maybe a minute with each customer rather than 30-45 lol. Then certain laws were enacted and business dried up :) (It was online-gaming related).

BTW - the woot package you have is NOT the one I requested to leave sealed. The one you have should contain the MST3K DVDs from order #1461112552. Unless you have TWO woot packages that were mailed to your addy. It's the 2nd one which contains the bag of crap, and I only got the shipping notice for it today.

Does the outside of the package show the tracking number? If so, I can let you know without a doubt which one it is.
dv8, are there any Japanese sites that you could recommend for looking for idol goods / music / japanese music?

At some point I was thinking of ordering something AKB48 related or Sweet Vacation or AAA.... I'm just trying to get price comparisons vs something like Yesasia or Playasia..
Luckily I stumbled across this question by checking out some of my older posts trying to find one in particular. LOL, normally I would have missed this.
No sites in particular. You can always check Yahoo Japan Auctions. The problem is, CDs are ridiculously overpriced here, so I don't often sell any... Hence why I also do not really carry any. I just picked one up for someone via request and, even before my fee, it cost almost $40usd!

Hey guys just wanted to let you know that we had a major thunderstorm and all our of power is out. I'm writing this via cell phone but I can't update anything until the power is back. Keep you posted!

Power came back but it's pretty late. I'm getting up at 7:00 AM to go to a new apartment interview then I'm coming home to work on GFC things. Thanks guys. Lots of items shipping out soon ^_^.

Hey Lucas252, I got your PM and will try to take care of that for you :) I just finished a HUGE order (57 pounds between two packages) so I'm a bit beat up but I'll be back in the office in about an hour. Thanks!

** GFC & GYROS UPDATE **

Okay good news guys, I'm slowly but surely adjusting to this grave shift schedule. I am working the next 4 days at the casino so I just woke up and am fixing up the GYROS page. Here are some stats:

* 13 Direct Requests have been received in the last 3 days and I'm ordering and adding them into my system.
* I have 30 current Email questions that I haven't gotten to, but many of them are repeat senders so I'll have those all sent out ASAP.
* There are 7 UPS / PF orders that have to be added to GYROS. Most of them are received now and will be processed fully over the weekend.

I will be updating GYROS from 1:00 AM - 3:00 AM which should allow me enough time to get everyone's orders updated. Now that I'm on this weird grave schedule, it allows me to work on orders while the wife is asleep which should help me get a regular cycle going. It's been hard doing my lawyer stuff, juggle my new job hours, look for an apartment and take care of family obligations, but we're doing well.

Sorry for anyone who feels that I had a disconnect from the site or lack of commitment. It's not the case :) I will tell you more of my exciting news in the next couple of weeks ^_^.

** Top 5 Mistakes Made by GFC Customers: **

Hey guys, I'm off to work now but thought you'd like to know the 5 things new customers (and some existing customers) mess up the most. Keep these in mind when ordering to save us both a lot of trouble :)

1) Not including shipping: If you are buying from eBay, Amazon Marketplace or any website that charges shipping...make sure you include it with your item price. If you need a Zip Code to calculate shipping use 06226 as a reference. This is by far the biggest mistake.

2) Not including sales tax. Not all sites charge it, in fact most don't but please check to see if the website charges sales tax for the state of Connecticut (CT). Again, Zip Code is 06226 to check.

3) Undervaluing shipping costs. If an item weighs 10 pounds and you put 1 pound, then you can expect 1-2 weeks delay with your item as I'll have to contact you back and forth, re-invoice you and get it all straightened out. If you aren't sure of an item's weight, Google it or feel free to shoot me an Email. I'm usually very close. For the record, most shoes weigh 2.5 - 3.0 pounds shipped. Most users estimate 1 pound...

4) Include your FULL Shipping Address. Putting "John" and "Ontario, CA" doesn't help me if you don't include your full name, your street address and all of your details. Please, please check to make sure it's complete :) Thanks! Also, if you're an existing customer and your address has changed since you signed up let me know so I can correct it for you.

5) Paying in Canadian Dollars. This isn't so much of a problem since we've been using the auto-checkout system, but it still comes up from time to time. If you are sending funds my way please make sure they are USD. Thanks again ^_^

That's it for now. Please be sure to think of these things when ordering. See you guys tomorrow! Appreciate your support :).

I'd suggest putting these up on GFC.

J-P, yeah I will :) I am putting together a more robust list and I want it to be more of a "don't forget" list rather than a "this is what people do wrong" list so I'll tailor it to make it more friendly sounding and helpful ^_^. In the meantime back to packing/invoicing. So much to do!

I'm up again and processing all the existing Emails once again. So, so many :) I'll be home for 4 more hours then off to work so I should have it all caught up on GYROS. Then Saturday/Sunday/Monday I'll be shipping out items again. Since I caught up with all of the big items things should be moving along quickly. If your item appears as RED on the GYROS page it means you still owe shipping or additional funds before I can ship out. You should have received an invoice for the difference, but if not let me know and I will resend it. Thanks guys!

The nook looks really awesome ^_^ If I was in the market for a digital book reader it'd probably be my second choice (I'd likely get an iPad just cuz it does a lot more than just eBooks) but eBooks alone the Nook is really, really nice! Nice hearing from you Firestorm :) I'm off to work soon but keep in touch!

Any updates on order #1306? It's been a month now, so I hope they finally shipped it to your address. If not, could you give me an update on whether they actually shipped it at all?

constellation, yes I have them in and the package is shipping Monday. Endicia (the company I use for online shipping) is down the last day or two so I can't ship till Monday but yes it's ready to go :) Thanks!

ironchefff, I know isn't that hilarious haha.

Hey Goomba,

PM'ed you a couple times about my order but have yet to receive a reply.
If you could update me that would be great. Thanks!

Hey Goomba,

I was wondering if you've sent out invoices for the extra money I need for my 3 orders becuase I haven't received any yet:

#1321 / 1950168393

#1322 / 1547893860

397353702 ( I asked this to be combined with #1321 / 1950168393 so I guess that's why it's not listed on the GYROS page).

order it doesn't look like I will be placing but how bad would shipping be on 15 book and or graphic novels weighting a little less than 9 pounds total? The legacy comics and a few books.
50% off a ton of star wars books + buy 4 get 5th free at borders is tempting...
may just order a laptop hardrive off newegg and a smaller bunch of cheaper books hmm

Airtrack, sorry I've been working 8 hours a day for the last week or so and coming home and going straight to bed (grave shift is confusing my sense of time). My wife started writing Emails for me to various customers but she's still getting the hang of it and didn't get up to yours yet. Your item is in and should be processed in the next day or two :) I'm off from work tomorrow evening so I'll be playing a lot of catch up then. Thanks again!

Also, Endicia is back up and running now after a weekend of being shut down. I will resume shipping tomorrow and have lots of items going out. Keep in touch and I will keep updating GYROS. Keep in mind also I'm on grave shift now so I work at night and sleep during the day. It's not easy being a Goomba :). Off to work now!
My wife started writing Emails for me to various customers but she's still getting the hang of it and didn't get up to yours yet.
I guess this is the time to send you a fake back-and-forth cybersex email?

Hey Goomba,

It has been about a month since I placed my order. Have you placed a new order with Verizon for my shipment yet? Please let me know. Thanks.

Hello Goomba

Should i just place a new request for fable 3 and cancel my call of duty black ops order? Or can you change it manually?

thanks in advance

Paypal's credit-card processing fee. Whether you use a credit card or not...

Goober! TRU is having a Buy One, Get One Half Off Sale this week, so could you do a real time-sensitive order for me? I've been looking for a good deal on Pokemon SoulSilver and HeartGold, and 25% off would be just swell.

I'm looking for Dragon Quest IX as well, but I don't have a fourth game in mind and I don't want to buy a random game I don't want just because it's on sale. If you have a game you wanted to grab from the sale yourself--or if someone else wants to 'buy in'--I'd be happy to add DQIX to the order.

Edit: Eek, I tried using the Direct Request service but I'm not sure if the order went through--I confused the thing by adding a third, blank item (a placeholder for DQIX) but that increased the order fee and I couldn't back up to remove it. I got an email confirmation, though, so I'm not sure where it's sitting in the system right now. Unpaid, currently, so let me know what's what so I can get you your dollarcash.

I am at the office now (University job) so I won't be able to update order statuses or look into any specific order questions but I'll do my best to answer as many as possible tonight. I have the next two or three days off from the casino job so I'll have a good amount of time to pack items today, tomorrow and Thursday. Also, I'll be taking off Thursday from my University job to get even more work processed.

Starting August 1st, I will be implementing a new rule too. If your item requires manual adjustment (generally for under-estimating shipping costs or leaving them off entirely on the request form) there will be a 1-2 week delay in getting the item shipped out. This isn't to punish you or anything, it's just a way to streamline the orders that were placed perfectly and paid up front. During the 1-2 week delay it will allow adequate time for me to do the back and forth Emails to you explaining the underpaid shipping or item costs and will allow me to receive the additional funds and such. Doing this will allow me to post the actual shipping times for items as well so that the yellow and red items aren't mixed together as much. In addition, I'm looking into ways for you to ask questions on the site BEFORE submitting them to further alleviate underestimated shipping.

It's a process to be sure and I'm never entirely sure we have nailed the best way for requests, so if you have any suggestions or ideas please let me know :) Also, if you ever want me to estimate shipping for you just shoot me an Email. Thanks guys!

** How GFC Treats DR/PF Orders [Updated 07/27/2010] **

This is more of a live-note-taking process for me as these things are constantly changing and evolving but feel free to take notes if you're curious ^_^. These are the current methods that GFC treats incoming orders through our Direct Request (DR) / Package Forwarding (PF) services.

1) Orders that are paid in full, properly filled out and have shipping weights correctly entered will have immediate processing. This means typically speaking in 24 hours or less. If the items you requested are no longer available we will contact you about alternative places to purchase the item. If none exist we will offer you a full refund or give you a chance to keep the credit on file for a future purchase. Soon the website will reflect your current funds with GFC in real-time so this will be more transparent on your end.

2) Items that are PF orders MUST be processed through our PF web-page. It's not listed on the website at the moment but it is live. If you need the address/URL just let me know and I'll be happy to supply you with it. This is to keep the PF orders down from new customers who are less familiar with the system and will allow us to create a better web-page for processing PF orders. Again, if you want to use package forwarding and haven't, by all means you can but just PM me or Email me to ask for the information on how to do so :).

3) If you fill out a DR form and do not pay through the website your order will be treated as an "estimate only". This means we will not contact you further about it or manually invoice you as we have done so in the past. I realize at the moment that you will be Emailed a copy of the form whether or not you decide to pay or further process it, but this is simply for your records. This also allows you to contact us with alternative payment options (Amazon Gift Cards, Google Checkout, etc.) and will give you a point to say "Hi Goomba, I'm contacting you about about order #1234567890 and wish to pay with Amazon Gift Card", etc. Having the order number in our system will allow us to pull it up and then we can manually invoice you from there if you so choose. If we do not hear from you though we will treat it as a mere estimate or curious customer inquiry :).

4) If you do fill out a DR and pay up front but do not estimate shipping costs or underestimate them (our prime example would be ordering a PS3 console and listing the weight as 2 pounds.... when in fact it's closer to 20 pounds), we have a new system. If your payment is enough to cover the cost of the item and shipping to the USA, we will still go ahead and process and order your item, but you will be put at the bottom of the GYROS list (the hellishly red section at the bottom). This will typically cause your item to be delayed for a total of 1-2 weeks as we'll need to Email you and manually invoice you (once the items have been received). Again, this isn't to punish you but it's just the nature of our service that more complex orders take more time and it's not fair for us to slow down other orders.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me at [email protected]. We are working our hardest to ensure that the system moves quickly and the above rules will make that happen. More updates to come.

1) Orders that are paid in full, properly filled out and shipping is correct will have immediate processing.

2) Items that are PF orders MUST be processed through our PF webpage. It's not listed on the website at the moment but it is live. If you need the address/URL just let me know and I'll be happy to supply you with it. This is to keep the PF orders down from new customers who are less familiar with the system and will allow us to create a better webpage for processing PF orders. Again, if you want to use package forwarding and haven't, by all means you can but just PM me or Email me to ask for the information on how to do so :).

3) If you fill out a DR form and do not pay through the website your order will be treated as an "estimate only". This means we will not contact you further about it or manually invoice you as we have done so in the past. some items can be nearly impossible to give an accurate estimate, especially if it's not an item typically carried by a major retailer such as Amazon. For instance... I have NO idea whatsoever what that clipper order will weigh, and couldn't find a single vendor that provides that information. Perhaps you're more resourceful than I, but that's why I didn't even bother to include shipping costs (though I think I explained that and asked you to just let me know), and it'd be just like throwing darts at a board, almost definitely going to require additional shipping money or a refund, unless I hit a bullseye.

In such cases where that information is just unavailable and impossible, is such a delay really warranted? I understand where you're coming from but I'm usually able to get any payments out within like a half hour of receiving an email, so how does that translate to a few weeks? I can understand if the customer is obviously just offloading the work to you... but I dunno, maybe it's just necessary, but I can see some customers sometimes just paying more to get the item elsewhere if they KNOW it's going to take so long because they really just can't do anything about it. Maybe you actually consider that an IDEAL alternative... again I really don't know :)

Whatever you think is best... I don't mean to come across as complaining, just trying to figure out to what extent you think is reasonable lol

Hello Goomba

Can you please confim that you changed my call of duty black ops (xbox 360) to fable 3 for the xbox 360. It should cost the same.

thanks

Lucas252, I did update your order. I also noticed you have two entries in my database. Do you have multiple CAG names or am I mistaken? Please let me know. Thanks ^_^.
