GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. 3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items.This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

Cool... can't blame you though, it definitely was confusing and took a LOT of me staring at the screen to even begin to see where the issue might have been. I'll send that $5 balance though right now, glad it's been cleared up :)

BTW, just thought I'd let you know, one of my Menscience items came open (the shampoo) and soaked everything and I lost half that particular product which really sucked :lol:. Cleaning the rest of the stuff up was no big deal though, and while I'm supposed to get the sender to file an insurance claim, considering the value it was declared as, it would be almost useless - but I have recouped that cost many times already with your customs help so it doesn't really bother me. I'm also pretty sure it wasn't your fault, as it was wrapped up and labeled damage on the Canadian side of the border, and I doubt trying to deal with insurance cross-border is worth the hassle in this particular case, and I certainly don't want to create any hassle for you. So what I got is fine for now... and it's like $6 more to replace it locally, which isn't too bad unless you get as many items as I did lol
 
Oh, since I'm so used to just paying to your private account (but will obviously be complying with your wish to use your business account from now on), I just noticed something I hadn't before. The site treats the paypal charge as a service fee, when I really think you should distinguish it. I know it will end up costing me more by saying this :lol: but if it's specifically a LARGE direct request order where the paypal fees are much greater than your profit margins, and people get the impression that it is a "service fee", they might(?) pay for the paypal fees (which is just as real a cost as shipping or the item itself) with service fee credits, which can actually make YOU lose money on an order.
 
Everyone!

Do yourself a favor and don't buy that next video game. For the love of god, go see Scott Pilgrim in theatres -- I have never seen such an enjoyable movie in my entire life. As a gamer, it is definitely one of my favourite (if not THE favourite) of all time. It finally trumps the original matrix, the original star wars trilogy, The Mask, and a few others I absurdly enjoyed.

It's a shame the movie is doing so poorly in theatres with all the gamers in the world who should see this. It's the best twelve bucks I've ever spent.

I have a $5 Amazon code but it expires on Sept 10 - so like 2 weeks from now. You think you're able to use it in that amount of time or what?

Also, you mentioned putting the Flight of the Conchords DVDs into a separate shipment, but I never got an actual shipping notice for it, so I'm wondering if it sent out because I've received the other part of that order but not that.
 
I just received my Green Zone & Saving Private Ryan blu's, goomba! Probably the fastest return time after receiving an email that the package was shipped to me (Aug 23) and got it today!

gsrce, that's weird as I've never had a package refused by my UPS store. Did you make sure to ship it in my name with the exact address? If so, the only thing I can think of is that they are closed this weekend and next (I think the owners are going out of town) but I don't think that'd be reason to refuse it. I will look into it though for you!

have you by chance received the Halo Reach figure yet (#1375)? I've been waiting to see if the price for the shipping is going to change from the $12 you posted.

Also another question...

You estimated it at being 1lb to ship. When I placed the order through your site I estimated it as being 1-6 ounces (or whatever was the cheapest), so is the price you listed ($12 owing) taking into account the money I already put towards shipping it or would you have to fix the price?

3. Not sure what to do with the Ganon figure, as you never sent me an invoice for it or anything. I have Metroid Other M preordered (shipping in Sep 7 though) so maybe you can ship those two together, if they fit in a box.

Goomba, I got Amazon to reship the keyboard. This time I omitted the c/o on the address field and only put your name, as that's the only reason I can think of as to why they declined the shipment.
 
Package Forwarding is still very much available (links are in the first post of this thread) and I'll be re-adding it back to the website next month after we finish moving to the new place. I just haven't had a day off since Wednesday so I haven't been able to update GYROS. I will be doing so tomorrow :) Thanks. I figured it was a straightforward question... you sent me a shipping notice for the OTHER item in that order saying you had split it up (and which I received in the middle of last week), but I have no indication whether or not the items I initially mentioned are even on their way, despite having supposedly delivered to you 6 weeks ago today :lol:

I shall be doing a lot so keep an eye on GYROS for many shipped items and order updates. 3. Glory of Heracles [DS] (you have this one, right?)

I thought you were going to ship them together, but in the package I got, only MK Wii was there (unfortunately the box got a few marks, because the shipping box was too small and it was pressing against it, I sent you an e-mail about this)
I'd rather you ship the two games together in a padded envelope.

X12, I'm absolutely OK with pre-orders. Just put the item in on the Direct Request page and pay in full (this is to ensure the funds are available when the store charges for them). Our GYROS page even has a Pre-Order section at they very bottom so you can see what other customers have pre-ordered. For items that offer Pre-Order bonuses ($20 gift cards and such) please check with us first before assuming the sale is available as many of these are one-time first-come-first-served offers. Guys, I'm back from work. Just wanted to let you know that this weekend is Labor Day so I'm working 6-7 days straight and likely 8+ hour days. I'll still be processing all existing orders.

More importantly though, with the giant move to the new place I am seriously considering to shut down GFC services for 1-2 months. It may sound extreme, but I've been in this current location for 5 years now so we're really well-situated with a lot of things. In order to properly move into the new place we'll have to make several trips back and forth over the next couple of months and I want to plan it out really well so I don't run into the space issues we had at this place.

I haven't fully decided on how I'm going to do this yet, but of course all existing orders and pre-orders won't be affected. I may leave the PF system open for orders like I did last time, but probably not for the first couple of weeks anyhow. More on this soon. I will post all details once I make a detailed plan. Okay, back to work now I go :)

Afrodiziak, unfortunately Microsoft is increasing the prices on all their XBL cards in the USA so a lot of retailers have already gone ahead and marked them up even though officially the increase doesn't come until November 1st, 2010. So right now...not too many good deals sadly.

Now I'm confused...
The page says Ganon Figure + Galaxy 2
But I want Glory of Heracles (DS game, not a figure) and Galaxy 2 shipped together. I've already paid for shipping for those together with Mario Kart Wii [Invoice #1310]
MK Wii package was 1.75 lb (28oz)
I paid for shipping charge for 2.5-3.0 pounds, I doubt one DS game and 1 Wii game will be over 1 pound in a padded envelope. So the shipping amount should be sufficient, or at most a couple bucks short since I know it costs more to ship separately.

DMPugh, good news the second pair is in now :) I will have them shipped out this weekend but they won't technically go out until Tuesday as the Post Office is closed for the duration of the weekend and Monday for Labor Day here in the USA. I will be updating the GYROS throughout the weekend as well :) Thanks!

Tristelme, the price of shipping you paid in #1310 was only enough to cover the Mario Kart Wii package (it weighed more than you estimated as you know). I told you ahead of time that if you placed items separately they would be shipped separately and that I couldn't just throw them all in a single box and mark the customs down at an arbitrary number. We have laws and regulations we have to follow and can't just make up prices or numbers. That's how we get in trouble with this sort of business. The Gannon Figure and the Mario Game together weigh 2 pounds alone and that doesn't even include the Heracles game which you will have to ship separately. I have shipped over 10,000 items to date so I think it's a bit unfair of you to assume that I don't know what I'm talking about when it comes to shipping. I will hold onto your items now but please make payment as soon as you can so I can get these out to you. Thanks.
